Abstract

PURPOSE: To enable the launching of a new type missile by an old type missile launcher by providing an interface device having a function for the signal conversion between two types of missile different in control, e.g. new and old type missiles and timing adjustment. CONSTITUTION: An interface device 4 receives old type missile mother machine specification/target data, missile power source, and missile control signals from a switcher 3, a signal converter circuit 6 converts signal formats and levels to those for a new type missile, and a timing adjusting circuit 7 adjusts the timing of signals to those for the new type missile and sends to the new type missile 8, while the timing adjusting circuit 7 and signal circuit 6 convert a missile status signal sent from the new type missile 8, reversely to the above- said signal low, and send to the switcher 3. Thus, by replacing only the interface device 4 for the new type missile, various type of missiles can be launched.
