Abstract

PURPOSE: To obtain a granular agricultural chemical fertilizer which suppresses the decomposition of agricultural chemicals even after long-term preservation and permits the stable existence of the agricultural chemicals by coating Cartap hydrochloride particles with a water-insoluble low melting waxy substance and depositing these particles on the granular fertilizer.
CONSTITUTION: This granular agricultural chemical fertilizer is prepd. by coating the S,S-(2-dimethylaminotrimethylene)bis(thiocarbamate) hydrochloride (i.e., Cartap hydrochloride) particles which are agricultural chemical active components with the water-insoluble low melting waxy substance which is solid at ordinary temp. and depositing these particles on the granular fertilizer. While the Cartap hydrochloride alone is satisfactory as the agricultural chemical component, others, such as various kinds of the agricultural chemicals having insecticidal, sterilizing and other effects may be added together with the Cartap hydrochloride to the particles. Above all, the powdery components which are solid at ordinary temp. are more preferable. For example, bensultap (S,S2- dimethylaminotrimethylenedi(benzenethiosulfonate); thiocyclam (N,N- dimethyl-1,2,3-trithiane-5-amine,) etc., are widely used.

[Prior Art] If pesticides and fertilizers can be contained in one agricultural preparation, labor-saving work can be achieved by simultaneously applying the pesticides and fertilizers. For example, in recent years, side row fertilization rice transplanting technology has become popular, and by applying the above formulation to a side row fertilization rice transplanting machine, it is possible to simultaneously apply agricultural chemicals and fertilizers in addition to rice planting. In this case, there is an advantage that the pesticide can also be applied locally to the roots of the plants, and that it is also possible to prevent the pesticide from running away or scattering outside the field.

[Means for Solving the Problems] The present inventors have conducted various studies in order to obtain fertilizers stably containing agricultural chemicals. We have completed the present invention by discovering that when mixed on particles and supported on granular fertilizers, the decomposition of pesticides can be suppressed and the pesticides can remain stably present even after long-term storage, which was unexpected.

Granular fertilizers are not particularly limited and a wide range of fertilizers can be used. In particular, granular chemical fertilizers containing one or more of nitrogen, phosphoric acid, potassium, etc., especially all of them, are widely applied and convenient. The effects of the present invention are particularly remarkable in slow-release chemical fertilizers that have been given slow dispersion properties. Among these granular chemical fertilizers, those that contain phosphoric acid in the form of calcium phosphate, or that are given slow-release properties by other known means such as adding pitch or sulfur, are commonly used.
These fertilizers are particularly effective. Examples of the fertilizer of the present invention include commercially available slow-release fertilizers (for example, IB Kasei manufactured by Mitsubishi Kasei Corporation), general chemical fertilizers [for example, Kumiai Kasei (Nissan Chemical), Chiyoda Kasei (Nissan Chemical).
