Conventionally, this kind of self-propelled vehicle is commonly used, as shown in FIG.
An elongated storage case 4 is provided parallel to the running surface formed by and parallel to the running direction. In the conventional example with this configuration, the storage case 4 protrudes from both front and rear ends of the main body 3.
This prevents the bumpers 5 and 6 of the self-propelled vehicle 2 from coming into contact with the bumpers 5 and 6 of other self-propelled vehicles 2. Therefore, when the bumpers 5 and 6 come into contact with each other, the running of the following self-propelled vehicle 2 is temporarily stopped.
It is not possible to perform a so-called rear-end collision stop. Therefore, if a plurality of self-propelled vehicles 2 are run consecutively within a certain traveling section, it will be impossible to ensure smooth and safe running of each self-propelled vehicle 2. In this case, only one self-propelled vehicle 2 can be driven. As a result, while this results in a decrease in transport efficiency, it is necessary to adopt a so-called zone control method that controls multiple self-propelled vehicles 2 from entering a certain travel zone, making the control system complex and expensive. There is a drawback. Although not shown in the drawings, there is also a self-propelled vehicle that makes it possible to stop in a rear-end collision by providing bumper-like contact objects at both ends of the storage case. However, with this configuration, it is necessary to wire the contact object in order to receive a stop signal, and it is also necessary to change the configuration of the self-propelled vehicle itself. This has the disadvantage that the structure becomes complicated and it impedes the standardization of the main body configuration aimed at making the main body of a self-propelled vehicle universal.

In order to solve the above-mentioned drawbacks, a self-propelled vehicle 7 shown in FIG. 2 has been proposed in the past. The storage case 8 of this self-propelled vehicle 7 is parallel to the running direction, but is provided so as to be positioned obliquely to the running surface. Therefore, as is clear from FIG. 2, the bumper 9 of each self-propelled vehicle 7,
Since it has become possible to bring the vehicles 10 into contact with each other, the above-mentioned rear-end collision stop can be performed, and it has become possible for a plurality of self-propelled vehicles 7 to travel continuously within a certain travel section. However, in this conventional example,
Due to the structure of the storage case 8, the height of the self-propelled vehicle 7 cannot but be increased. Therefore, a new drawback arises in that the self-propelled vehicle 7 is not suitable for traveling in a space where there is no clearance in the height direction, such as inside the ceiling of a building.

The present invention was developed in view of these circumstances, and it not only enables multiple self-propelled vehicles to run continuously within a certain travel section to increase transportation efficiency, but also improves transportation efficiency in spaces where there is little space in the height direction. To provide a self-propelled vehicle equipped with a long storage case suitable for driving.

The feature of this invention is that by providing the storage case so that it is located parallel to the running surface formed by the track rail and diagonally to the running direction,
The bumpers of each self-propelled vehicle can come into contact with each other without being obstructed by the storage case, and the height is the same as that of conventional self-propelled vehicles of this type.

2 inside the track rail 11 to its guide parts 12 and 13.
A self-propelled vehicle 16 that travels while being guided by a pair of guide wheels 14 and 15 (the pair is not shown) has a main body 17 configured similarly to the conventional example, and drive wheels (not shown) that run in the same manner. It travels by being rotationally driven by a drive motor (not shown) that is driven and controlled by electric power supplied from a power supply rail provided on the running surface 18 of the track rail 1 (not shown). At the front and rear ends of the self-propelled vehicle 16,
Bumpers 19 and 20 are provided respectively,

As is clear from the drawings and FIG. 5, the storage case 22 is parallel to the running surface 18, but is positioned obliquely to the running direction. Therefore, the bumper 20 of the self-propelled vehicle 16 is different from that of the other self-propelled vehicle 16.

Note that the angle and direction in which the storage case 22 of the present invention is slanted with respect to the running direction are not limited to the illustrated state of the above-described embodiment, and are not limited to the angle and direction in which the storage case 22 is made diagonally with respect to the traveling direction. Various changes can be made within the range in which contact with 19 can be made.

As is clear from the above explanation, according to the present invention, since the elongated storage case is provided so as to be positioned parallel to the running surface and diagonally to the running direction, It is possible to increase the transport efficiency by making it possible for a plurality of self-propelled vehicles to run continuously, and also to have the effect of being able to obtain a self-propelled vehicle that is suitable for traveling in a space where there is little room in the height direction.
