Abstract

PURPOSE: To collect a blood component from blood of a donor while keeping an aseptic state of a circulation system by providing a filter which makes a solution pass but prevents bacteria from passing, on a supply line. CONSTITUTION: A blood platelet collecting device 17 is equipped with a blood supply line 12, a centrifugal separator 14, and out-flow tubes 16, 18, 20. An anticoagulant supply bag 22 is connected to the blood supply line 12 through a supply line 24. The supply line 24 is equipped with a filter 26 in the middle, and is connected to the anticoagulate supply bag 22 through a connector 28. This filter 26 lets a supply solution pass but prevents bacteria from passing. The out-flow tube 20 is connected to a blood platelet collecting bag 30. The tubes 12, 16, 18, 20 are connected to a channel of the centrifugal separator 14 by a sealless multi-channel type rotary connecting means, and a sealed state wherein bacteria cannot enter, is kept.

(Prior Art) In a device for separating and collecting blood components, such as a centrifugal separator, it is necessary to prevent bacteria from entering a collection bag that holds blood components separated from blood from a blood donor. In at least some examples of conventional blood centrifuge systems, the disposable tubing device used for each blood donor is equipped with bags containing anticoagulant and salt replenishment solutions. It has been previously connected to a blood supply line.

When the centrifuge 14 is to be used for a new patient due to a long-term operation, a sterile tube system consisting of tubes 12, 16, 18, 2o and centrifuge channels (not shown) is inserted into the centrifuge 14. can be attached to. In addition, the needle cover 62
and insert the needle 48 into the anticoagulant supply bag 22.
Connector 28 is connected to bag 22. A sterile salt replenishment solution bag (not shown) is connected in the same manner. Remove the cover 62 and connect the connector 28 to the bag 2.
2, bacteria may enter the fluid supply system from the connector 28. connector 28
Bacteria that have entered the filter 26 are prevented from passing through the filter 26 because the pore size of the filtration membrane 40 is minute. Therefore, bacteria can be prevented from being sent into the platelet collection bag 3o, and bacteria will not proliferate during storage of platelets. By providing filters and connectors on the tubing device, the anticoagulant and salt replenishment solution supply bags can be transported and stored separately from the tubing device. Therefore, it can be easily transported, stored and handled. Additionally, a variety of fluids and bags of varying capacities can be selected to meet the needs of each donor, and solutions and tubing equipment can be individually sterilized in a manner that is most convenient for the consumer. can.

The pricking needle 48 can be used repeatedly depending on the situation to connect a large number of bags. This allows administration of the amount of salt-containing solution and anticoagulant that is actually required. These advantages are not available with traditional fixed-tie bags. Conventional fixed-connection bags may not be able to fully utilize the amount of solution in the pre-connected bags.
In addition, even in a bag to which a tube device is attached, the amount of solution may be too large. In either case, the weight increases and fluid is wasted. In addition, the above-mentioned feature allows the collection to be carried out in a hurry (but not in a hurry, allowing the task to be carried out over time; new bags of clotting agent are added as needed until the desired amount of blood components have been collected). You can add more and work on it over time.
