Abstract

PURPOSE: To drive a staple on a central folding line from outside of a document by folding it back at a proper point by deeply extending a lower arm whose one end is connected to a housing case of the staple, in the pushing-out direction of the staple, and arranging a staple receiving groove coincident with a pushing-out position of the staple on a tail end upper surface of this folding-back part. CONSTITUTION: A lower arm 5 whose one end is connected to a housing case 3 of a staple 4 is deeply extended in the pushing-out direction of this staple 4, and is formed as an extending part 12. This extending part 12 is folded back at a proper point, and a staple receiving groove 7 coincident with a pushing-out position of the staple 4 is arranged on a tail end upper surface of this folding-back part 11. A center folded document 16 is placed in this staple receiving groove 7 part in a condition where its valley part turns to the tail end upper surface side of the folding-back part 11, and a central folding line 17 of this document 16 is made to naturally coincide with the staple receiving groove 7. Next, the staple 4 in the housing case 3 is pushed out toward the staple receiving groove 7, and the staple 4 is driven on the central folding line 17 from outside of the document 16. Therefore, hitching of a thing and wounding of a hand by the pointed tip of the staple 4, can be prevented from occurring.

[Detailed Description of the Invention] (Industrial Application Field) The present invention relates to a stapler that can easily staple a large number of documents, and in particular, even wide newspapers and documents that are folded in the center can be stapled together on the center fold line. It relates to a structure that allows for accurate binding by driving in a staple.

(Prior art) A stapler designed to staple a large number of documents, etc., presses in a staple from one side of the document and bends the staple protruding from the other side of the document in a staple receiving groove to staple the document. Therefore, the press-fitting point of the staple and the needle receiving groove must match exactly, and therefore the driving part of the staple and the needle receiving groove are inseparable.

When saddle-stitching wide documents with a stapler of this kind of structure, it is necessary to insert one side of the document deeply into the stapler so that the driving part of the staple and the staple receiving groove reach the center fold line of the document. However, many staplers have been developed for the purpose of saddle stitching.

For example, staplers that have a longer main body or have a telescoping mechanism that allows them to be stretched when performing saddle stitching.
There were some in which the needle drive part was rotated to change the shaft support of the main body and the direction in which the needle was driven, and others had the main body mounted on a wide piece of plywood.

(Problems to be Solved by the Invention) However, in this conventional method, for example, the length of the main body is made longer from the beginning, the main body is provided with a telescoping mechanism and is used to extend when saddle stitching, and the driving part of the stapler is Among those that change the needle feeding direction by rotating, and those that have the main body mounted on a wide plywood board, the length of the document insertion is limited for those that do not change the axis of the main body and the direction of the staple. In addition, by increasing the distance from the press-fit point of the staple to the shaft support of the main body, the strength in the lateral direction is weakened, and when thick documents are inserted, the staple may slide sideways and become bent.

In addition, there are problems in that when the device is held in hand, the user's hand gets in the way and the document cannot be inserted deeply. Additionally, there is a good chance that the stitching needle will strike the document from the inside to the outside, which poses problems such as the bent portion of the needle may catch something or cause injury.

Also, in any case, the needle receiving groove is formed wide, so if you spread out the document and place the center fold line part on top of it, it will easily shift, and you will not be able to confirm whether the center fold line matches the needle receiver groove, making it difficult to position. The problem was that it was very time consuming.

(Means for Solving the Problems) The present invention has been made to solve the problems of the prior art, and the folded line portion of a wide document such as a newspaper is placed in the needle receiving groove. The center fold line aligns with the needle receiving groove and does not shift, the structure is simple, and the needle receiving groove has sufficient strength to ensure that the staple is driven accurately and from the outside to the inside of the document. To provide a stapler.

The gist is that in a stapler that staples documents, etc. by pushing out staples from slits in a storage case, one end of the storage case is connected to a lower arm disposed below the storage case. One end is pivoted so that it can move up and down,
The lower arm is extended deeply in the direction in which the binding needles are pushed out, and is folded back at an appropriate point.A needle receiving groove is provided on the upper surface of the end of the folded part to match the position in which the stitching needles are pushed out, and the thickness of the folded part in the lateral direction is made thinner. The stapler is characterized by the following:

(Function) The stapler of the present invention has a lower arm connected at one end to a storage case for staples, which extends deeply in the direction in which the staples are pushed out, and is folded back at an appropriate point, so that the staples can be pushed out from the upper surface of the terminal end of this folded part. A needle receiving groove that matches the position is provided.

Therefore, this lower arm has a deep approximately U-shaped bent part just before the needle receiving groove, and the needle receiving groove is provided on the upper surface of the terminal end of the thin folded part in the horizontal direction. .

When setting a folded document in this needle receiving groove, the needle receiving groove scrapes the upper surface of the terminal end of the elongated lower arm that rises from below, so that the valley of the document is naturally placed on the upper surface of the terminal end of the lower arm. The staple is inserted from the outside of the document to the inside. In addition, since the top surface of the terminal end is long and thin, the deepest part of the center fold of the document, that is, the center fold line, naturally coincides with the needle receiving groove. One side of the wide document fits into the deep folded groove, so it does not get in the way of operations.

In addition, since there is no need to increase the horizontal distance from the shaft support of the lower arm to the needle receiving groove, the bending moment to the lower arm when driving the staples is small, and the lower arm does not escape when driving the staples (accurately driving the staples). can be included.

(Effects of the Invention) According to the present invention, the lower arm, one end of which is connected to the storage case of the binding staples, is extended deeply in the direction of extrusion of the binding staples, and is folded back at an appropriate point, and the end of the folded part is Since a needle receiving groove is provided on the top surface that corresponds to the position where the staple is pushed out, a half-folded document can be placed on the needle receiving groove at the tip of the lower arm with the trough naturally placed on the needle receiving groove side. Also, since all the center fold lines align with the needle receiving grooves, the stitching needle must be driven from the outside of the document onto the center fold line, not only for documents that have been folded in the middle, but also for documents that have been folded in half. be able to. Therefore, it is safe because the sharp tip of the staple does not catch objects or damage hands. Furthermore, it has the advantage that books can be bound quickly and accurately without the documents or the hands holding the documents getting in the way of operations, and that saddle stitching and side stitching can be freely performed without switching operations.
