本発明は、磁気ディスクに係り、特に磁性塗料を基板に

り部を設けたことを特徴とする磁気ディスクによって達

(突起)となり、円板外周部に使用不可能な領域を形成
する。従ってこの磁性塗料の盛りあがりを吸収する様に
アルミ基板の外周部に磁性塗料のたまり部を設ける。磁
性塗料の盛りあがりがアルミ基板のたまり部に吸収され
るため5円板外周部に突起部分が出来ず、円板外周部の

スクの外周部分を詳細に調べると、アルミ基板1の外周
は面とり部5があり、この面とり部5とアルミ基板平坦
部7の交点近傍に磁性層の盛りあがり部6がある。この
磁性層の盛りあがり部6のため磁気ディスクの使用領域
を第5図の位置Bから位置C迄拡大しようとすると、磁
気ヘッド3と磁性層の盛りあがり部6が接触部4におい
て接触するため、磁気ヘッド3の浮上が不安定となり、
磁気ディスクと磁気ヘッド3のフラッシュ事故を起こし
てしまう。従って磁気ディスクの使用領域を拡大するこ
