Abstract

PURPOSE:To press a seal body to a rotary part and surely seal water by feeding compressive gas into a rubber tube installed in a back face of the seal body at the time of maintenance and inspection. CONSTITUTION:A seal body is formed with a rigid body such as plastics or the like, and each of springs 8a, 8b is inserted into an interval between mounting pieces 4a, 4b and the seal body 2, thereby giving spring pressure in a direction where the seal body is separated from a rotary part all the time. On the back of the seal body 2, there is provided with a ringlike tube 7 whose sectional form is an oval. At the time of maintenance and inspection, if compressive gas is fed in from an air charging pipe 6, the tube 7 is inflated and its sectional form tries to become a round shape whereby it presses the seal body 2 from the backside, so that the seal body 2 presses the rotary part 1 and sealing water is thus carried out.

[Detailed Description of the Invention] [Field of Industrial Application] This invention provides a seal that is provided at a location where the rotating part of a water turbine passes through a fixed part, and that does not have a water-sealing function at all times but has a water-sealing function only during maintenance and inspection. It relates to water devices, and in particular to the structure of the seal body and its vicinity.

This type of water sealing device has conventionally been made of elastic rubber as shown in FIG. This seal body 2 is attached to the inner surface of the fixed part 3 by being sandwiched between two annular plate-shaped attachment pieces 4a and 4b. There is an air supply chamber 5 between the seal body 2 and the fixed part 1, and an air supply pipe 6 is connected to the air supply chamber 5 in communication. In this water sealing device, the seal body 2 is normally separated from the rotating part 1 as shown in the figure, but during maintenance and inspection, the seal body 2 is separated from the rotating part 1.
When more compressible gas is fed in, the compressible gas presses the end of the air supply chamber 5 against the rotating part 1, resulting in an ice→state. - [Problem to be solved by the invention] The above-mentioned water sealing device deforms the rubber seal body, strokes the seal body 2 only by the gap valve between the seal body 2 and the rotating part 1, and further strokes the seal body 2. In order to apply large deformation to the rubber seal body due to the pressure applied to the rotating part 1, the size of the seal body must be made considerably large, which has the disadvantage that the installation space for the seal body becomes large.

SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION In view of the above-mentioned problems, an object of the present invention is to provide a water sealing device that requires as little space as possible for installing a seal body and has an excellent water sealing function.

In other words, the seal body that directly presses the rotating part is made of a rigid body such as synthetic resin, and this seal body normally feeds compressible gas into the rubber tube installed on the back of the rotating body, and counteracts the spring pressure mentioned above. The seal body was pressed against the rotating part.

Fig. wc1 is a longitudinal cross-sectional view of a water sealing device which is an embodiment of the present invention, and parts having the same functions as parts in Fig. 2 are given the same reference numerals. In this invention, the seal body 2 is made of a rigid body such as synthetic resin and is made small. And the mounting piece 4a,
Springs 3a and 8b are inserted between 4b and the seal body 2, and spring pressure is always applied in a direction to separate the seal body 2 from the rotating part 1. Further, a ring-shaped tube 7 having an elliptical cross section was provided on the back surface of the seal body 2, and an air supply pipe 6 was connected to the tube 7 in communication. In such a water sealing device, the sealing body 2 is normally separated from the rotating body 1 by the spring pressure of the spring 7 as shown in the figure. During maintenance and inspection, when compressible gas is introduced from the air supply pipe 6, the tube 7 is inflated and its cross-sectional shape becomes circular, pushing the seal body 2 from the back side, and the seal body 2 presses the rotating part 1 to seal the water. It will be done.
