Abstract

PURPOSE: To preserve vegetables for a long term by enclosing the open face of a container with a cover made of a thin moisture permeable film principally comprising hydrophobic resin and containing a deodorant thereby removing odor in the vegetable container. CONSTITUTION: A moisture permeable film 10 is a laminate of a thin silicone film 14 and hydrophilic nylon fibers wherein steam, the air or carbon dioxide can permeate the film 14 if a difference of concentration is present across the film and the fibers 15 can prevent dew condensation. Since a vegetable storage container 13 has an enclosed structure, chill does not intrude directly into a container 7 and high humidity is kept therein by the moisture evaporated from the stored vegetables. When humidity is saturated, moisture permeates gradually in the low temperature refrigeration room 4 through the film 10 on the surface of the cover 8a. Consequently, no dew is formed on the inner surface of the cover 8a and the vegetables are protected from dipping of drops or contact with water. A deodrant 17 contained in the cover 8a absorbs odors dissipated from the vegetables in the container 7 or spoilt vegetables deposited on the bottom face.

Conventional Technology Traditionally, vegetable containers were installed in refrigerators to preserve vegetables for as long as possible by suppressing the deterioration of freshness in the open air environment (particularly shrinkage due to drying and high-temperature damage). It is common practice to accommodate and do so. This conventional example is shown in FIG. 2 below.

This will be explained according to FIG. Reference numeral 1 denotes a refrigerator main body, which is partitioned by a partition wall 2 into a freezer compartment 3 at the top and a refrigerator compartment 4 at the bottom. Reference numeral 5 denotes a door provided opposite to the refrigerator compartment 4. Reference numeral 6 designates a vegetable container provided at the bottom of the refrigerator compartment 4, and is composed of a resin container 7 with an open top and a lid 8 that seals the opening of the container 7. The lid 8 includes a resin flat plate 9 having a large number of through holes, a moisture permeable membrane 10 welded to one side of the flat plate 9, and a resin frame 11 bonded to the outer periphery of the flat plate 9. It is made up of. Then, the upper end of the opening surface of the container 7 and the lower end of the frame 11 of the lid 8 are engaged to form a sealed state. With this configuration, water vapor generated from the vegetables 12 stored in the vegetable container 6 due to transpiration or respiration permeates through the moisture-permeable membrane 1o of the lid 8 when the humidity is higher than the saturated humidity. There is no dew condensation on the inner surface, the inside of the container T is maintained at an appropriate humidity, and the vegetables 12 can be stored for a long period of time.

Problems to be Solved by the Invention However, in the configuration described above from Hiko, since it is a semi-closed structure, the odor emanating from the vegetables 12 and the debris of the vegetables 12 deposited on the bottom surface of the vegetable container 6 can be avoided. There was a problem in that the odor emitted by the rotting vegetables filled the vegetable container 6, and the odor was transferred to other vegetables 12, and the odor was diffused into the refrigerator compartment 4.

Here, the moisture permeable membrane 10 will be explained. The moisture permeable membrane 10 is a lamination of a silicon thin film 14 and a hydrophilic nylon fiber 15, and the silicon thin film 14 has a thickness of about 10μ to about 5oμ and is composed of an almost amorphous chain-like molecular aggregate. The collection of chain-like molecules completely blocks liquid, and has gas permeability due to the molecular spacing of 10 to 103 molecules. In other words, water vapor, air, and carbon dioxide gas can permeate through the membrane if there is a difference in concentration between the inside and outside of the membrane. However, the use of hydrophilic nylon fibers 15 is ineffective in preventing dew condensation.

In this configuration, the vegetable storage container 13 has a sealed structure, so that there is no direct intrusion of cold air into the container T, and the interior of the container 7 is kept at high humidity due to moisture evaporated from the stored vegetables. . Moisture above the saturated humidity gradually permeates through the moisture-permeable film 1o on the surface of the lid 8a toward the refrigerator compartment 4, which has low humidity.

Therefore, condensation does not occur on the inner surface of the lid 8a of the container 7, and vegetables are not damaged due to falling water droplets or contact with water. In this way, the freshness of the vegetables is maintained for a long period of time without drying and wilting.

Further, the lid body 8a contains a deodorizing agent 17, which absorbs the odor emitted from the vegetables stored in the container 7 and the odor emitted by rotting vegetable scraps accumulated on the bottom surface of the container 7. Therefore, the odor will not be transferred to other vegetables in the container 7, and
It also prevents diffusion into the refrigerator compartment 4.

Effects of the Invention As is clear from the above explanation, according to the present invention, since the container is sealed with a lid having a moisture-permeable membrane, vegetables can be stored for a long time without drying out or being damaged by water droplets. Since the lid has a structure that contains a deodorizing agent, it absorbs odors from the vegetable container and odors that permeate through the moisture-permeable membrane, preventing odors from entering the container or other vegetables inside the refrigerator. It can prevent the transferred pleasant cine smell from spreading.
