Abstract

PURPOSE:To cut off molten metal without developing rapid flow and to enable squeeze casting by arranging a valve body in a valve asymmetrically arranging shape of face at mold side and shape of face at molten metal supplying side in passage of the molten metal. CONSTITUTION:The molten metal in a holding furnace (does not show in the figure) is pressurized and pushed up in a stoke 6 and poured into a cavity 8 in the mold 7 through the passage 4. After completing the pouring, the valve 5 arranged at the passage 4 and composing of the valve body 1, and guide 9 is descended to cut off the molten metal, and the molten metal in the stoke 6 is the stoke 6 is returned back to the holding furnace to execute casting in the mold 7. In the above casting apparatus, the face 3 at the molten metal supplying side of tip part of the columnar valve body 1 is cut as arc-shape to make the face 2 at the mold side and the face 3 at the molten metal supplying side asymmetrically. By this method, at the time of cutting off the molten metal, shocking pressurization to the mold side is not given and surface roughness of the casting is prevented. Further, the cutting face of the valve body 1 is arranged toward the mold side and the squeeze casting can be executed.

Detailed Description of the Invention (Industrial Application Yf) The present invention provides a low-pressure casting device in which a valve is provided in the middle of a flow path for supplying molten metal to a mold to prevent backflow of molten metal from the mold to a holding furnace. The present invention relates to the shape of a valve or a valve body of a valve provided in an inclined pouring casting device that sequentially pours metal into a large number of molds, and also relates to the shape of a valve body that also has the effect of molten metal forging.

(Prior Art) A conventional low-pressure casting device 6 applies gas pressure to the surface of molten metal stored in a holding furnace, supplies the molten metal into a mold cavity through a stalk inserted into the molten metal, and then presses the molten metal into the mold cavity. This is a device that solidifies and casts molten metal, and continues to pressurize the surface of the molten metal until the molten metal solidifies within the mold cavity, thereby preventing the molten metal from flowing back into the mold cavity for 1 hour.

Work using such equipment is inefficient because the next casting operation cannot be started until the molten metal has solidified. To improve this, the mold sprue must be rapidly cooled or A device has been developed that uses a float stopper to shut off the molten metal to proceed with the next pouring operation.

In addition, there is a method in which a valve is installed in front of the sprue of the mold to shut off the molten metal. If the molten metal is inadvertently shut off with a valve in such a device, various problems may occur depending on the shape of the valve body.

For example, Japanese Utility Model Application Publication No. 80-108480 discloses an apparatus for making molten Wit as follows: ``A molten metal is injected into a cylindrical sleeve through a hopper, and a plunger is used to transfer the molten metal between upper and lower molds. In the pressure forging machine, the cylindrical sleeve is pushed into the gear to be formed, and the side wall of the cylindrical sleeve is formed with a hole into which a pouring opening that forms a part of the hopper is inserted, and a hole is formed in the side wall of the cylindrical sleeve to insert the pouring opening of the hopper. ``A device in which a flow divider is provided inside to disperse the flow of molten metal and inject the molten metal along the inner circumferential surface of the sleeve.''

(Problems to be Solved by the Invention) As mentioned above, if a valve is provided in front of the mold sprue and the molten metal is shut off by the valve, if the molten metal is inadvertently shut off by the valve, various problems may occur depending on the shape of the valve body. This may cause damage to the body.

In other words, 1. For example, in the case of a valve with a cylindrical solid head tapered on the mold side and the molten metal supply side as shown in Fig. 6, the valve body is inserted into the molten metal and the molten metal is fed. When the valve is shut off, pressure is applied from the stalk side of the low-pressure casting device or the riser side of the inclined pouring device, and pressure is applied by inserting the valve body, causing a rapid flow of molten metal, which causes the mold to fill. When the core is assembled, the surface of the core becomes rough due to the rapid flow of the molten metal, resulting in a roughened surface of the cast product.

Meanwhile, fill the mold with molten metal and I! When forging a molten metal by applying pressure multiple times in a timid manner, there is a problem that the pressurizing pressure of the molten metal in the mold is small and the return pressure to the molten metal supply side becomes large.
