Abstract

PURPOSE:To easily recognize a fault and its content of an exchange in a monitor room by providing a signal detector detecting a signal on a data line, an alarm display panel and a display device to a remote monitor equipment. CONSTITUTION:When a fault takes place in an exchange 2, the data is instantly reported to an operation management equipment 3. The management equipment 3 controls an interface circuit connecting to a data line 8 and transfers information onto the circuit 8. The information is outputted as it is on a display device 7 in the remote monitor equipment 1. A monitor personnel in a monitor room can immediately recognize the content of a faulty state of an exchange 2 depending on the content of the output. On the other hand, when a signal detector 5 detects the presence of a signal on the line 8, the alarm display panels 6 connected to the detector 5 is started and the presence of message output is displayed. The monitor personnel can find out the fault easily by the fault report of the exchange 2 displayed on the display panel 6.

[Prior Art] As shown in FIG. 2(a), a conventional remote monitoring system for a switching system involves installing an operation management device 11 connected to the switching system 10 via a data line 14 in a monitoring room. One method is to monitor and operate the exchange in a monitoring room, and the other is to install an alarm display panel 15 connected to the alarm output boat of the exchange 10 by a signal line 16 in the monitoring room, as shown in Fig. 2(b). There were 10 monitoring methods. Note that 12 is a typewriter, and 13 is a display device such as a printer or a display.

[Problems to be Solved by the Invention] Among the conventional remote monitoring methods mentioned above, in the former method, the operation management device 11 itself is installed in the monitoring room, so there is a situation where installation is impossible due to the size of the monitoring room. In addition, there are disadvantages in that it is necessary to prepare power supply equipment and the like for installing the operation management device 11. Furthermore, since the exchange 10 is usually installed in a machine room, there is anxiety associated with operating the exchange 10 without being able to see its operational status.

The latter method has the disadvantage that only the alarm display panel 15 is installed in the monitoring room, so that only the presence or absence of alarms from the exchange 10 can be monitored, and the contents of the alarms cannot be known in detail.
