Abstract

PURPOSE:To prevent development of cold shut part in casting and to improve yield ratio of the product by using die for casting having plural runners radially arranged toward almost flat face of disk surface from hub hole planning part following to a sprue. CONSTITUTION:After setting lower die 21, upper die 27 and side die 31, the molten alloy metal is pushed up into a cavity, formed at gap between the upper die 27 and the lower die 21 from the sprue 26 to supply the molten metal. Then, the molten metal is divided into the flow running over the projection 24 for forming hub fitting part and the flow shifting to flat face 23 direction along runner 25. Therefore, the supplied molten metal is completed at almost same time into the parts respectively brought into contact with the recessed part 29 in the upper die 27 and the flat part 23. れた複数の湯道を有する鋳造金型を使用してハブ予定部
からディスク表面の略平坦面に向けて複数の湯道用リブ
を放射状に配したホイール素材を鋳造した後、機械加工
により上記湯道用リブを除去するようにしたことを特徴
とするものである。

(発明の効果) 本発明は上記した通り、金型を用いて軽合金ホイールを
製造する場合において、湯口につづくハブ穴予定部から
ディスク表面の略平坦面に向けて放射状に配設された複
数の湯道を有する鋳造金型を使用してハブ穴予定部から
ディスク表面の略平坦面に向けて複数の湯道用リブを放
射状に配したホイール素材を鋳造した後、機械加工によ
り上記湯道用リブを除去するようにしたものであるため
に、湯口からの給湯に際し、軸方向に段差のあるハブ取
付部と平坦面部とに分流して同時的に給湯することがで
きるため、湯回りがホイール全体にわたり平均化し、そ
の結果表面酸化皮膜の介在による湯境いや、引は巣の発
生を防止でき、鋳造欠陥や外観不良による鋳造製品の歩
留まり率を大幅に向上させることができる。
