Abstract

PURPOSE:To realize transmission/reception of a large quantity of data to an external control panel by a sequencer of small capacity by dividing the input/ output line of the sequencer into a data transfer line and a count value transfer line and performing the transmission/reception of data to said control panel with combination of the signal values of both transfer lines. CONSTITUTION:The combination signals of four signals I-IV received from a data transfer line 7 of a sequencer 1 and four signals (1, 2, 1+2, 4) received from a count value transfer line 8 of the sequencer 1 respectively are sent to a converter 9. The converter 9 converts these combination signals into desired many signals (eight input signals and eight output signals) and sends them to an external control panel 2. Thus it is possible to transmit and receive desired 16 pieces of signals on seven lines (four pieces of the line 7 and three pieces of the line 8) of the sequencer 1.

[Detailed Description of the Invention] [Field of Industrial Application] The present invention is suitable for transmitting a large number of data signals to/from an external operation panel using a small input/output line in a sequencer. This relates to a data transfer method for a sequencer that sends.

As shown in FIG. 2, a large number of input/output signals are sent in and out between the sequencer 1 and the external operation panel 2, but normally the signals are sent in and out in a one-to-one relationship. That is, as shown in the figure, for example, if the output line 3 of the sequencer 1 is 8 lines and the input line 4 is 8 lines, the corresponding external operation panel will have 8 output side signals 5 and 8 input side signals 6. (A total of 16 signals correspond to the signals displayed in 4 lines). Therefore, a large number of data can be stored on the external operation panel 2.
In order to send in and out, the sequencer 1 needs the same number of input/output lines, which requires a large-capacity sequencer 1, and the wiring connecting the sequencer 1 and the external operation panel 2 becomes complicated. The drawback is that it occupies a lot of land.

To this end, the present invention divides the input/output lines of the sequencer into a plurality of data transfer lines and count value transfer lines, and uses a combination of the signal values of both lines, similar to frequency modulation, to convert the input and output lines into a desired number of data transfer lines. The present invention is characterized by a data transfer method for a sequencer that transfers a large amount of data using small input/output lines formed to convert the data into signal values and send them to and from an external operation panel.

As described above, the desired 16 signals can be sent/input using only seven lines (four data transfer lines and three count value transfer lines) of the sequencer 1. Of course, the count value transfer line 8 is 1+4=5.4+2=6.1+

It is possible to send and output x4=12 input/output data signals. In this embodiment, seven lines are used as described above, but even if 40 pieces of data (10 digit signals) are to be sent/input, the sequencer 1 will have 4 lines as data transfer lines and 4 lines as count value transfer lines ( 1, 2,
4, 8) in total (8 lines allow 15×4=60 data).
