Abstract

PURPOSE:To give a microvibration to lubricating oil housed in an oil pan, thereby making bubbles being contained in this lubricating oil go up quickly and eliminating them efficiently, and prevent a lubrication shortage or the like from occurring by installing an ultrasonic generator additionally in the oil pan. CONSTITUTION:In an engine, an oil pan 2 is connected to the lower part of a crankcase 1, and lubricating oil 3 is housed in this oil pan 2. During engine driving, the lubricating oil 3 is sucked up from a straight 5 installed in a suction port of an oil pump interlocking with a crankshaft 4, and fed to each sliding part of the engine. In this constitution aforesaid, an ultrasonic generator 6 is additionally installed in a lower end of the oil pan 2. Then, this ultrasonic generator 6 is connected to a battery 8 via a switch 7 interlocking with an engine switch, thereby generating a microvibration during the engine driving. With this operation, bubbles being contained in the lubricating oil 3 are quickly raised up by the microvibration, and efficiently eliminated.

In a four-cycle engine, an oil pan is connected to the bottom of the engine crankcase, lubricating oil is stored in the oil pan, and a strainer at the intake port of the oil pump that is linked to the engine is installed in the lubricating oil to control engine operation. During,
An oil pump pumps up lubricating oil to lubricate each sliding part of the engine. After lubrication, the lubricating oil flows downward and is stored in an oil pan for repeated use. When lubricating oil flows down into the oil pan, it entrains air bubbles, and if these air bubbles are sucked into the oil pump, the amount of lubricating oil becomes insufficient, causing problems such as insufficient lubrication. For this reason, instead of installing a strainer close to the bottom of the oil pan to reduce air bubbles, it is recommended to install a baffle plate or steel wool inside the oil pan to prevent air bubbles from entering. Although this prevents air bubbles from entering, for example,

(19th aspect of the invention) This invention installs an ultrasonic transmitter in the oil pan containing lubricating oil of a four-cycle engine, uses minute vibrations to promote 1lI2 bubbles, and sucks the air bubbles into the oil pump. The purpose of the present invention is to improve the air bubble removal device of an oil pan by reducing the number of bubbles and preventing problems such as insufficient lubrication.

The four-stroke engine has an oil pan 2 connected to the lower side of a crankcase 1, and contains a predetermined amount of lubricating oil 3 within the oil pan 2. Then, the strainer 5 at the intake port of the oil pump that is linked to the crankshaft 4 is installed at a position deep in the oil pan 2 and immersed in the lubricating oil 3.
While the engine is running, the lubricating oil 3 is pumped up from the strainer 5 by the oil pump, and is sent to each sliding part of the engine to eliminate r8. The lubricating oil 3 that has finished lubrication is
It flows down and returns to oil pan 2. And it is used repeatedly. Thus, an ultrasonic transmitter 6 is attached to the lower end of the oil pan 2. The ultrasonic transmitter 6 is connected to the engine battery 8 through a switch 7 that is linked to the engine switch, and generates mechanical movement while the engine is running. The optimum vibration frequency is 15 to 100 KHz.

When the lubricating oil 3 that has finished lubrication flows down into the oil pan 2, it entrains air bubbles and flows down into the oil pan 2 due to the stirring during lubrication and the force of the flow down. Therefore, the lubricating oil 3 accumulated in the oil pan 2 contains air bubbles. However, since the ultrasonic transmitter 6 applies micro-vibrations to the lubricating oil 3 that has accumulated, the micro-vibrations can accelerate the upper bound of the air bubbles in the lubricating oil 3, allowing the lubricating oil 3 to quickly become oily. Air bubbles can be removed from the surface. The strainer 5 of the oil pump is close to the bottom of the oil pan 2, and the air bubbles continue to rise before they reach the strainer 5, so that the suction of air bubbles into the strainer 5 can be reduced. thus,
It is possible to reduce the number of bubbles in the lubricating oil 3 sent by the oil pump and prevent the occurrence of insufficient a1 slippage. For this reason, the oil pump may be made smaller with a reduced discharge amount.

As explained above, the present invention connects an oil pan to the lower part of the crankcase of an engine, stores lubricating oil in the oil pan, provides a strainer at the lower part of the lubricating oil, and lubricates the oil from the strainer with an oil pump. When pumping up oil to lubricate various sliding parts, an ultrasonic transmitter is attached to the oil pan, so the ultrasonic transmitter can give slight vibrations to the lubricating oil in the oil pan, and the lubricating oil The air bubbles contained in the air bubbles can be quickly raised and defoamed using micro vibrations. Therefore, it is possible to reduce the intake of air bubbles into the oil pump strainer near the bottom of the oil pan, thereby preventing problems such as insufficient lubrication. Moreover, the oil pump can be made small enough to discharge the amount necessary for oil supply. In addition, the ultrasonic transmitter consumes little power, and only needs to be energized during operation, and can be fully operated by the engine's battery.
