As is well known, side visors for automobiles can be divided into two types depending on their functions, apart from the materials used, such as metal plates and synthetic resin plates. That is, there are two types: one that covers only the upper part of the window sill, and one that covers the entire front part from the upper part. (Note, for convenience,
The former is tentatively called the upper stile mounting type, and the latter is tentatively called the upper and front stile mounting type. ) Among the conventional upper and front stile mounting types, those made of transparent synthetic resin plates were constructed as shown in FIGS. 1 to 4.

shows the front visor part consisting of b 2 and lower edge b 3 ;
The diagonal shielding portions a 2 and b 2 are formed with a single slope of approximately 45° as shown in Figs. Other colors were applied. In the figure, wf 1 is the upper window stile, wf 2 is the front window sill, and g is the window glass.

However , in such a conventional structure, as shown in FIG . When the vehicle is opened in accordance with the slope angle of part a 2 and the window glass g is lowered, the direction of travel of the vehicle when traveling straight and when turning, etc., the amount of falling rain and snow, the direction of the wind, etc. If there is a lot of snow that may enter the cabin, or if the driver looks diagonally to the left or right from the driver's seat, the front visor part b
The diagonal shielding part b2 constituting the upper visor part a has a large area and may obstruct the field of vision. This obstructs the sunlight from entering through the a2 angle, which may be undesirable in some cases.

This invention was developed to eliminate the above-mentioned inconveniences. The purpose of this invention is to reduce the amount of rain and snow that enters through the upper visor part compared to the conventional one, and to reduce the amount of rain and snow that enters the driver's seat. To provide a side visor for a motor vehicle which allows a driver to obtain a good field of view by reducing the visual area of a diagonal shielding part of a front visor part when the driver looks diagonally forward to the left and right.

A is an upper part consisting of an insertion part A1 into the window sill, a gently sloped and narrow upper diagonal shielding part A2 , a steeply sloped and wide lower diagonal shielding part A3 , and a lower edge part A4 . visor part,
B is the insertion part B1 into the window frame, the upper diagonal shielding part B2 with a gentle slope and a narrow width, and the lower diagonal shielding part B2 with a steep slope and a wide width.
B 3 and the lower edge B 4 , which are integrally formed by molding means using transparent synthetic resin as a material, and also include the entire upper visor portion A, and the upper visor portion A and the front visor portion. As shown in FIG. 5, an embossed pattern EP is applied to the front visor part B, extending slightly through the boundary with the front visor part B.
Note that wf 1 is the upper window stile, wf 2 is the front window stile, and g is the window glass.

One embodiment of the present invention has been described above, but
The present invention is not limited to this, for example, an embossed pattern.
Sometimes EP is applied only to the upper visor part A.
Further, this embossed pattern portion and the above-mentioned embossed pattern portion may be colored so that they can be seen through.

As described above, in the present invention, the shielding part of the upper visor part A is formed of an upper diagonal shielding part A2 with a gentle slope and a small width, and a lower diagonal shielding part A3 with a steep slope and a wide width. As shown in Figure 7, the window glass d and the lower edge
The distance between A 4 and 4 is much smaller than that of the previous model,
Therefore, the intrusion of rain and snow is small, and when the driver looks diagonally forward to the left and right from the driver's seat, the visual area of the front visor part B is as shown in Figure 6, so it does not interfere with the driver's field of vision. , and the boundary between the upper diagonal shielding parts A 2 , B 2 and the lower diagonal shielding parts A 3 , B 4
Since A 5 and B 5 are bent,
Although it is thin, sufficient rigidity can be obtained, and distortion can therefore be minimized. Also, by applying an embossed pattern EP to the inside of the upper visor part A, sunlight tends to disperse and enter the room. Therefore, it has the effect of maintaining the brightness of the room at dusk.
