Cooling generates thermal stress in the base material, which tends to cause defects such as warping and deformation in the product. Furthermore, since a furnace is used for firing, there are equipment limitations, for example, making it difficult to easily apply glaze on site.

He developed a method of baking a glaze layer onto the surface of a tile base material by thermal spraying, and filed an application for this method as Japanese Patent Application No. 145090/1983. When using this method, the tile base material on which the glaze is baked is already fired. Furthermore, since the firing temperature of the tile base material is higher than that of the glaze baking, even if the tile base material is sometimes heated during the glaze baking, defects such as warping and deformation are less likely to occur in the base material.

Therefore, the color tone of the baked glaze layer can only be determined after the product is removed from the furnace. Therefore, when trying to obtain a tile with a glaze layer that is particularly rich in color, it is necessary to select one with the desired pattern from a large number of glaze-baked products, and reuse the rest as raw material for the tile base material. It was treated as a second-class product.

It is characterized in that a corresponding temperature unevenness is imparted to the tile base material.

At 0℃, a bright red color is obtained, but at 1000℃
It was pale orange in color and almost transparent at 1200°C. Thus, the color obtained varies depending on the heating temperature. especially,
When using a pigment that easily evaporates when heated, the color tends to become lighter as the temperature increases. Therefore, in the present invention, the color tone change of the glaze is brought out by actively creating temperature unevenness when preheating the tile base material.

While the surface of the tile base material 1 was covered with the masking plate 2, the surface of the tile base material 1 was preheated by the flame 4 ejected from the preheating burner 3. At this time, an opening 5 of a predetermined shape is bored in the masking plate 2, and the frame 4 reaches the surface of the tile base material 1 via this opening 5. As a result, the temperature of the surface portion of the tile base material 1 corresponding to the opening 5 increases, and preheating with uneven temperature is performed.

FIG. 4 is a graph showing the relationship between the feed rate and the preheating temperature. In the case of this example, a fired board made of cypress was used as the tile base material 1, and was preheated by a preheating burner 3 with a flame temperature of 1400°C. Therefore, by utilizing this relationship, the feeding speed of the preheating burner 3 was reduced in locations where a high preheating temperature was required, and the feeding speed of the preheating burner 3 was increased in locations where a low preheating temperature was required. As a result, temperature unevenness similar to that shown in FIG. 2 was obtained.
