Description

This invention relates to a solid bath additive.

Conventionally, as a bath additive, Patent Document 1 discloses a method in which parts constituting a finger puppet are embedded inside a water-soluble solid bath additive. The parts constituting the finger puppet are connectable, with one end having a convex portion and the other a concave portion, and the finger cap body has a cylindrical structure with an opening. Furthermore, the bath additive containing the toy is packaged together with a card related to the finger puppet.

Utility Model Registration No. 3164108

Patent Document 1 describes a bath additive containing a toy that allows users to communicate by using the parts that emerge from the bath additive as finger puppets. However, the toy that emerges from the bath additive is only used as a finger puppet, and therefore has shortcomings in terms of entertainment value.

The present invention aims to provide a highly appealing solid bath additive.

One embodiment of the present invention is a solid bath additive comprising a dissolvable main body of one of several types and a toy enclosed within the main body. The main body is configured such that the toy is not visible from the outside before dissolution, and after dissolution begins, the liquid containing the dissolved main body is configured to change in multiple stages.

According to the present invention, it is possible to provide a highly appealing solid bath additive.

This is a perspective view of a solid bath additive according to one embodiment of the present invention, specifically a first type of solid bath additive. The following describes an embodiment of the solid bath additive representing one aspect of the present invention, with reference to the figures.

(First aspect)
Figure 1 is a perspective view of the first type of solid bath additive 1. Figure 2 is a schematic cross-sectional view of the solid bath additive 1 shown in Figure 1.
As shown in Figure 1, the solid bath additive 1 comprises a water-soluble main body 10 with a spherical surface 10s, and a toy figure 20 enclosed in the internal space SP of the main body 10. The figure 20, which is modeled after a specific character, is held within the water-soluble solid main body 10, so that when it is placed in a liquid, such as bathwater 50 (see Figure 3), the main body 10 dissolves and the figure 20 is revealed.

The doll body 20 is made of a relatively flexible, water-insoluble material such as synthetic resin or rubber, and is designed to float on water. However, the main body 10 is made of a material that does not float on water, and the solid bath additive 1 is designed to sink.

As shown in Figure 2, for example, it has a two-layer structure consisting of an outer layer 11 on the surface 10s side and an inner layer 12 inside it. The outer layer 11 contains a pigment that produces a first color when dissolved, and the inner layer 12 contains other pigments that produce a different color from the first color. Therefore, when the solid bath additive 1 is added to the bath water 50, as will be described later, the color at the initial stage when it begins to dissolve in the bath water 50 is different from the color that appears afterward.

Figure 3 is an explanatory diagram showing the state after adding the solid bath additive 1 to the bathwater 50.
As described above, the solid bath additive 1 is constructed so that its main body 10 is heavy enough to sink in water. As a result, when the solid bath additive 1 is placed in the bathwater 50, it sinks to the bottom 61 of the bathtub, for example, along with the floating doll body 20, as shown in Figure 3. In this submerged state, the main body 10 dissolves from its surface 10s.

The components of the first color, released from the surface 10s of the main body 10, rise to the surface of the bathwater 50a along with the bubbles 18. Then, in the first stage, the bathwater changes to the first color from the surface 50a upwards. After the outer layer 11 dissolves, in the second stage, the inner layer 12 dissolves, releasing the second color and further changing the color of the bathwater 50.

Figure 4 is an explanatory diagram showing the state in which the doll body 20 is floating on the surface of the molten metal 50a.
In the first stage, when the solid bath additive 1 begins to dissolve, it becomes the first color C1, and then, even before the doll body 20 floats to the surface, it changes to the second color C2 of the second stage. In the final stage, after the second color C2 appears, the doll body 20 floats to the surface as shown in Figure 4. At this time, the doll body 20 floats to the surface together with the remaining portion 12a of the inner layer 12. Therefore, as shown in the figure, the remaining portion 12a floats around the doll body 20, and the second color C2 continues to dissolve from this remaining portion 12a.

In this way, from a state where it is unclear which character it is (the state before the doll body 20 floats), the appearance (floating) of the doll body 20 is simulated with two colors, as shown in the diagram, before the first color C1 and the second color C2 have completely mixed, around the time the doll body 20 floats.

In the first embodiment, an internal space SP is formed in the main body 10, but the invention is not limited to this. The inner layer 12 may also be filled into the internal space SP (i.e., the inner layer 12 is formed in close contact with the periphery of the doll 20). In this embodiment, the time from the start of melting of the main body 10 to the toy 20 becoming visible can be extended, and the risk of damage to the main body 10 before melting can be reduced.

(Second aspect)
Figure 5 is a schematic cross-sectional view of the second type of solid bath bomb 1, which contains doll bodies 20 modeled after other characters.
In the second type of solid bath additive 1 shown in Figure 5, the contained doll body 20 is different from that shown in Figure 2. Furthermore, the main body 10 has a single-layer structure instead of a two-layer structure. In addition, the components contained in the main body 10 include a third color C3 pigment component and an effervescent component. For example, the main body 10 appropriately contains effervescent components such as carbon dioxide that generate bubbles when it dissolves, and these components include, for example, at least sodium carbonate, citric acid, and sodium sulfate.

Figure 6 is an explanatory diagram showing the state in which the doll body 20 is floating on the surface of the molten metal 50a.
In the solid bath additive 1 of this embodiment, once the main body 10 begins to dissolve and a predetermined time has elapsed, the bathwater 50 is stained with the third color C3 and a certain amount of foam 10b is formed. However, if no operation is performed to form a large amount of foam 10b, the doll body 20 will float to the surface, as shown in Figure 6, with the doll body visible. In this case, the doll body 20 can be hidden in the foam by adding hot water through the faucet 80 or by applying appropriate vibration (stirring) to mix air into the water surface 50a by hand.

Furthermore, if, for example, air is mixed into the molten metal surface 50a before the doll body 20 floats to the surface 50a, the molten metal surface 50a will be covered with bubbles 10b. Therefore, even after the doll body 20 floats to the surface, it will be impossible to see it. As a result, a state can be created for a predetermined period of time where it is completely impossible to tell when the doll body 20 floated to the surface or what character it represents.

Figure 7 is an explanatory diagram showing an example of how to play with the solid bath additive 1 when it has foamed up.
The bathwater 50 has taken on the color of the third color C3 due to the dissolved color components, while the bubbles 10b are white. This allows for the enjoyment of the color contrast between the color of the bathwater 50 and the white of the bubbles 10b.

As mentioned above, if many bubbles 10b are formed before the doll body 20 floats to the surface, the floating doll body 20 will be covered by the bubbles 10b and cannot be seen. In this state, the child can enjoy playing by searching for the doll body 20 by feeling around in the bathwater 50 (from the bottom), or by searching for the doll body 20 by poking through the bubbles 10b from above with their hand 70, as shown in Figure 7.

(Third aspect)
Figure 8 is a schematic cross-sectional view of the third type of solid bath bomb 1, which contains doll bodies 20 modeled after other characters.
In the third type of solid bath additive 1 shown in Figure 8, the internal space SP contains a doll body 20 as well as a sub-body 30. Also, in this embodiment, similar to the first embodiment, the main body 10 has a two-layer structure consisting of an outer layer 11 and an inner layer 12. The outer layer 11 contains a pigment component of the fourth color C4, and the inner layer 12 contains a pigment component of the fifth color C5.

The auxiliary body parts 30 are made of a mineral such as mica, and are arranged in large numbers around the doll body 20 in the internal space SP. The auxiliary body parts 30 are formed, for example, in a star shape and are sized to decorate the area around the doll body 20.

Figure 9 is an explanatory diagram showing the state in which the doll body 20 is floating on the surface of the molten metal 50a.
When the main body 10 of this embodiment is placed in the bathwater 50, it sinks into the bathwater 50, for example, as shown in Figure 3. Then, as the outer layer 11 and inner layer 12 of the main body 10 dissolve sequentially, the bathwater 50 is dyed with the fourth color C4 and the fifth color C5. Subsequently, as shown in Figure 9, the doll body 20 floats up, and the sub-body part 30 also floats up. In this state, when the doll body 20 and the sub-body part 30 first float up, the fourth color C4 and the fifth color C5 have not yet completely mixed on the surface of the water 50a, and as shown in Figure 9, the area around the doll body 20 is decorated by the sparkling reflection of these two colors and the sub-body part 30 due to the fluctuations of the water surface 50a. Furthermore, since the sub-body part 30 is made of mica, it dissolves into the bathwater 50 after a predetermined amount of time has elapsed.

As described above, in the solid bath additive 1 of the above embodiment, the main body 10 dissolves, causing a first type of change in the color of the bathwater 50 (liquid) between a first and second color; a second type of change through stirring or other operations, resulting in foaming; and a third type of change in which the auxiliary body 30 (mineral fragments) floats in the bathwater 50. This allows for diversification of the presentation when the doll body 20 emerges from within the main body 10.

Furthermore, as the main body 10 is placed in the bathwater 50 and shrinks, bringing the appearance of the doll body 20 closer (as time passes), the color of the bathwater 50 can change, or bubbles can be generated, creating a visual effect.

Furthermore, in the solid bath additive 1 of the above embodiment, the main body 10 is spherical, allowing it to be rolled around for play.

Furthermore, in the second type of solid bath additive 1, the foaming component of the main body 10 can be made to generate bubbles by stirring or vibrating it during or after dissolution. This allows for a more intriguing and secretive way to enjoy the bath, such as burying the floating doll 20 in the bubbles, allowing users to imagine what the character is.

Furthermore, in the third type of solid bath additive 1 described above, the dissolution of the main body 10 reveals a sub-body 30 made of minerals that can float in the bathwater 50, allowing the bathwater 50 to sparkle and creating the effect of a floating doll 20 on the water surface 50a. Additionally, since the sub-body 30 is made of water-soluble minerals, it requires no cleanup and is easy to use.

The embodiments of the present invention have been described above, but the present invention can be modified as appropriate within the scope of its technical concept. For example, in the above embodiment, the solid bath additive 1 has a spherical body portion 10, but it is not limited to this configuration, and may be configured in various shapes such as octahedron, hexahedron, tetrahedron, etc.

Furthermore, although the configurations of the second type (bubble-generating type) and the third type (mica-containing type) of solid bath additive 1 were described as separate configurations in the above embodiment, the invention is not limited to this, and a configuration comprising both the second and third types simultaneously is also possible.

Furthermore, while the above embodiment describes a configuration in which the solid bath additive 1 sinks in water, it is not limited to this configuration and may also be configured to float.
