Description

This invention relates to training equipment for volleyball.

For some time now, there have been training devices that consist of a pair of posts with a net for ball games, a pair of poles attached to each post, a rope stretched between the upper ends of the poles, and a target used for practicing ball control, such as serving, by aiming at the gap between the rope and the top of the net (see Patent Document 1).

Incidentally, in volleyball blocking, a blocking form that minimizes preparatory movements such as flaring and quickly reaches the ball over the top of the volleyball net towards the opponent is considered desirable. However, existing volleyball training equipment for practicing blocking form has the problem of not being able to effectively reduce preparatory movements.

This invention provides a volleyball training tool that allows players to acquire a desirable blocking form by reducing preparatory movements such as flicking motions and quickly reaching over the top of the volleyball net towards the opponent.

The volleyball training equipment according to the present invention comprises a pair of support members provided on a volleyball net stretched to a predetermined height, and an elastic guideline member provided between the pair of support members. The guideline member is tensioned parallel and horizontally to the volleyball net, and the support members include fastening means for detachably fixing the support members to a strip-shaped upper end provided at the upper end of the volleyball net. The support members are positioned so that the guideline member is separated from one surface of the volleyball net in an out-of-plane direction, forming a gap between the guideline member and one surface of the volleyball net.

According to the volleyball training equipment of the present invention, by practicing passing one's hand through the gap formed between the guideline member and the volleyball net, it is possible to reduce preparatory movements such as flicking motions and quickly acquire a desirable blocking form in which the hand reaches over the top of the volleyball net to the opponent's side.

Furthermore, the support member has a contact surface that abuts against the upper end when fixed to the upper end by the fastening means, and it is preferable that the vertical length of the contact surface is equal to the vertical width of the upper end.

In this configuration, the vertical length of the contact surface of the support member is equal to the vertical width of the upper end, so that the support member that tensions the guideline member is supported in a stable position by the contact surface.

Furthermore, the support member preferably has opposing sides and an opposite side to the opposing sides, and the fastening means is preferably provided on the opposite side.

According to this configuration, the fastening means not only secures the support member to its upper end, but also suppresses the rotation of the support member caused by the elastic contraction force of the guideline member, which is tensioned in a horizontal position.

Furthermore, it is preferable that the support member has a height adjustment means for adjusting the installation height of the guideline member.

According to this configuration, the support members allow for adjustment of the installation height of the guideline members, thereby adjusting the difficulty of practicing reaching over the top of the volleyball net towards the opponent, and correcting the blocking form to a desirable one.

Furthermore, it is preferable that the support member has spacing adjustment means to adjust the size of the gap by changing the installation interval of the guideline members.

According to this configuration, the support member can adjust the size of the gap between the guideline member and the volleyball net, thereby adjusting the difficulty of practicing reaching over the top of the volleyball net towards the opponent, and correcting the player's blocking form to a desirable one.

Furthermore, the fastening means is a fastening slot integrally formed in the support members, opening from one side of the opposing support members to the other, and is preferably provided on the inside side of the support member adjacent to the volleyball net and on the lower end side of the support member.

In this configuration, a fixing slot integrally formed on the support member is provided on the lower end of the support member, functioning as a fixing means for fixing the support member to the upper end. Therefore, since the fixing means is provided simply by forming the shape of the support member, the manufacturing cost of volleyball training equipment can be reduced.

Furthermore, it is preferable that the fixing slot is composed of a guide portion that opens in a tapered shape, a holding portion that holds the portion of the upper end through which the upper cable of the volleyball net passes, and a passage portion that connects the guide portion and the holding portion.

In this configuration, the upper end of the volleyball net enters the fixing slot via the guide section, passes through the passage section, and reaches the holding section located at the back of the fixing slot. The holding section then secures the upper end of the portion through which the upper cable passes, allowing the support member to be stably fixed to the upper end of the volleyball net.

Furthermore, the support member preferably includes a winding slot that opens from the opposing side to the opposite side and is integrally formed with the support member, and the winding slot is preferably provided on the outside side of the support member, spaced apart from the volleyball net, and on the upper end side of the support member.

This configuration allows for the winding slot to be formed solely by shaping the support member, facilitating the installation of guideline members and reducing the manufacturing cost of volleyball training equipment.

Based on the above, the volleyball training equipment according to the present invention can provide a volleyball training tool that allows players to acquire a desirable blocking form that reduces preparatory movements such as flicking motions and allows them to quickly reach over the top of the volleyball net and extend their hand towards the opponent.

The embodiments of the present invention will be described below with reference to the drawings. Components denoted by the same reference numerals in each figure are identified as identical components, and their descriptions will be omitted.

First, a first embodiment of the present invention will be described. Figure 1 is a perspective view showing a volleyball practice device 1 according to the first embodiment of the present invention. Figure 2 is a front view showing the volleyball practice device 1 shown in Figure 1 installed on a volleyball net 9. The volleyball practice device 1 shown in Figures 1 and 2 includes a pair of support members 2, 2 provided on a volleyball net 9 that is stretched to a predetermined height, for example, a height in accordance with the rules of volleyball, and a guideline member 3 provided between the support members 2, 2.

The volleyball net 9 has upper cables 92 and lower ropes 93 at both ends. The upper cables 92 and lower ropes 93 are attached to a pair of support posts 91, 91 spaced a predetermined distance apart, thereby tensioning the volleyball net 9. Note that the location where the volleyball net 9 is installed does not necessarily have to be between the support posts 91, 91, as long as the volleyball net 9 is tensioned at a predetermined height.

The support members 2, 2 include fastening means 20 for detachably securing them to the upper end 90 of the volleyball net 9. It is preferable that the support members 2, 2 be provided inside the side bands 94, 94 at both ends of the volleyball net 9, i.e., on the upper end 90 inside the sidelines of the volleyball court. Alternatively, the support members 2, 2 may be provided on the upper end 90 outside the side bands 94, 94.

The fastening means 20 uses a pair of belts, each with a base end fixed to the support members 2, 2 by means of adhesive or sewing, and each end equipped with a pair of male and female hook-and-loop fasteners. However, the fastening means 20 is not limited to the above configuration, as long as the support members 2, 2 can be detachably fixed to the upper end 90.

The guideline member 3 is an elastic wire, such as a stretchable rubber cord, and both ends of the guideline member 3 are wrapped around the height adjustment means 24 of the support members 2, 2, which will be described later. The guideline member 3 is tensioned parallel and horizontal to the volleyball net 9 between the support members 2, 2.

The support members 2, 2 are provided with contact surfaces 21 that abut against the upper end 90 when fixed to the upper end 90 by the fixing means 20. When the guideline member 3 is tensed between the support members 2, 2, an elastic contraction force is generated. The contact surfaces 21 of the support members 2, 2 abut against the upper end 90, reducing displacement of the support members 2, 2 due to this contraction force. Preferably, the vertical length of the contact surface 21 is equal to the vertical width of the upper end 90. This ensures that the fixing to the upper end 90 by the fixing means 20 is strong. As a result, the support members 2, 2 are positioned stably relative to the upper end 90 by the contact surfaces 21.

Furthermore, the support members 2, 2 are provided with opposing sides 22 and opposite sides 23 located opposite the opposing sides 22, and the fastening means 20 is provided on the opposite side 23. The fastening means 20 secures the support members 2, 2 to the upper end 90, thereby tensioning the guideline member 3 between the support members 2, 2 parallel and horizontal to the volleyball net 9. At this time, an elastic contraction force acts, pulling the support members 2, 2 around which the guideline member 3 is wrapped inward.

When the fixing means 20 is provided on the opposing side 22 located between the support members 2, 2, the fixing means 20 cannot resist the contraction force acting on the support members 2, 2, causing the support members 2, 2 to be pulled inward and rotate.

In contrast, if the fastening means 20 is provided on the opposite side 23, which is opposite to the opposing side 22, even if a contractile force acts on the support members 2, 2, the rotation of the support members 2, 2 is suppressed because the fastening means 20 is located on the opposite side in the tensile direction. Furthermore, even if an external force greater than the contractile force is applied, such as when a user's hand H catches on the guide line member 3 during practice and pulls it inward, the rotation of the support members 2, 2 is suppressed.

As a result, the fixing means 20 not only fixes the support members 2, 2 to the upper end portion 90, but also suppresses the rotation of the support members 2, 2 caused by the elastic contraction force of the guideline member 3, which is tensioned in a horizontal position.

Figure 3 is a plan view of the volleyball practice equipment shown in Figure 1. As shown in Figure 3, the support members 2, 2 are positioned so that the guideline member 3 is separated out of plane from one surface of the volleyball net 9, forming a gap 4 between the guideline member 3 and one surface of the volleyball net 9.

Next, we will describe block practice using the volleyball training equipment 1 according to the present invention. Figure 4 is a schematic diagram showing the trajectory of the user's hand when performing block practice using the volleyball training equipment 1 shown in Figure 1. Figure 5 is a schematic diagram showing the trajectory of the user's hand when performing block practice without using the volleyball training equipment 1.

Normally, when practicing blocking without conscious effort, users (not shown in the illustration) often follow an upward trajectory Ta, as shown in Figure 5, where they jump from a point far from the volleyball net 9 and extend their hand H towards the opponent. Because the upward trajectory Ta follows an arc, as shown in Figure 5, the time between the user jumping and extending their hand H towards the opponent becomes longer.

By installing a volleyball practice device 1 on the volleyball net 9, which forms a gap 4 between the guideline member 3 and one side of the net 9, and practicing blocking while consciously passing the hand H through the gap 4, the user can draw a thrusting trajectory T, as shown in Figure 4, by jumping from a point close to the volleyball net 9 and extending the hand H linearly towards the opponent. Thus, the volleyball practice device 1 can provide practice for acquiring a desirable blocking form that shortens the time from jumping to extending the hand H towards the opponent.

Volleyball training equipment 1 has various means of adjusting the difficulty of blocking practice, which involves reaching over the top of the volleyball net towards the opponent, in order to gradually correct the user's blocking form from an upward trajectory Ta to an outward trajectory T.

As shown in Figure 1, the support members 2, 2 are equipped with height adjustment means 24 for adjusting the installation height of the guideline member 3. The height adjustment means 24 is, for example, a protruding part with notches or markings every 1 centimeter (cm). When the height adjustment means 24 raises the installation height of the guideline member 3 above the height of the upper end of the volleyball net 9, the front-to-back width of the gap 4 from the user's perspective widens.

From the user's perspective, widening the front-to-back width of the gap 4 makes the angle at which the user extends their hand H towards the opponent obtuse, making it easier to pass through the gap 4 and thus reducing the difficulty of blocking practice where the hand H is extended towards the opponent. Therefore, the volleyball training equipment 1 can adjust the difficulty of blocking practice by adjusting the installation height of the guideline member 3 using the height adjustment means 24. This allows the volleyball training equipment 1 to adjust the difficulty of blocking practice where the hand H is extended towards the opponent over the top of the volleyball net 9, and to correct the user's blocking form to a more desirable form.

Figure 6 is a perspective view showing a volleyball practice device 1 according to another embodiment of the present invention. The support members 2, 2 of the volleyball practice device 1 shown in Figure 6 are equipped with spacing adjustment means 25 that adjust the size of the gap 4 by changing the spacing of the guideline members 3. Here, "size" refers to the front-to-back width between the guideline member 3 and one side of the volleyball net 9. The spacing adjustment means 25 is, for example, a plate member with a thickness of 2 centimeters.

As shown in Figure 6(a), the spacing adjustment means 25 is provided between the support members 2, 2 and the guideline member 3. This changes the spacing between the guideline members 3 without changing their installation height, thereby widening the front-to-back width of the gap 4. If multiple spacing adjustment means 25 are provided between the support members 2, 2 and the guideline member 3, the installation spacing changes by the number of spacing adjustment means 25 provided, further widening the front-to-back width of the gap 4.

When the spacing between the equipment pieces changes and the front-to-back width of the gap 4 widens, the user has more time to extend their hand H towards the opponent, thus reducing the difficulty of block practice. Therefore, the volleyball practice equipment 1 can adjust the difficulty of block practice by adjusting the spacing of the guideline members 3 using the spacing adjustment means 25. This allows the volleyball practice equipment 1 to adjust the difficulty of block practice where the user extends their hand H over the top of the volleyball net 9 towards the opponent, thereby correcting the user's blocking form to a more desirable form.

Furthermore, as shown in Figure 6(b), the spacing adjustment means 25 can be provided between the support members 2, 2 (contact surfaces 21, 21) and the upper end portion 90 to change the installation interval and enlarge the gap 4. It is preferable to provide the spacing adjustment means 25 between the support members 2, 2 and the guideline member 3. The spacing adjustment means 25 may also be provided between the support members 2, 2 and the guideline member 3, and between the support members 2, 2 and the upper end portion 90.

Furthermore, while urethane is preferred for the support members 2, 2 and the spacing adjustment means 25, it is not limited to urethane as long as it is a material that can withstand the contraction force of the guideline member 3, tension the guideline member 3, easily maintain its shape, and prevent injury in the event of collision during practice.

Next, a second embodiment of the present invention will be described. Note that parts identical to those in the first embodiment will be omitted from the description, and the parts that differ from the first embodiment will be described in detail.

Figure 7 is a perspective view showing a volleyball practice device 10 according to a second embodiment of the present invention. The volleyball practice device 10 shown in Figure 7 is equipped with support members 200, 200. Each support member 200 has a winding slot 210 and a fixing slot 220 integrally formed. The winding slot 210 is provided on the outside side 203 and upper end side 204 of the support member 200, spaced apart from the volleyball net 9, and opens from the opposing side 201 of the opposing support members 200 to the opposite side 202 of the support member 200. The fixing slot 220 is provided on the inside side 205 and lower end side 206 of the support member 200, close to the volleyball net 9, and opens from the opposing side 201 to the opposite side 202.

The support member 200 is preferably made of urethane, as in the first embodiment. However, it is not limited to urethane, as long as it can withstand the contraction force of the guideline member 3, tension the guideline member 3, maintain its shape easily, and possess the flexibility to prevent injury in the event of a collision during practice.

The winding slot 210 separates a portion of the upper end of the support member 200 to form the winding section 211. The guideline member 3 is wound around the winding sections 211, 211 of the support member 200 at both ends, and is tensioned parallel and horizontally to the volleyball net 9 between the support members 200, 200. The fixing slot 220 allows the upper end 90 of the volleyball net 9 to enter, detachably fixing the support member 200 to the upper end 90.

Figure 8 is a schematic diagram showing the support members 200 attached to the volleyball net 9 in Figure 7. The support members 200 are provided on the outer upper ends 90 of the side bands 94, which are located at both ends of the volleyball net 9, via fixing slots 220. The support members 200, 200 are positioned outside the antennas 95, 95, which are also located outside the side bands 94, 94. In this configuration, the support members 200, 200 are positioned in contact with the antennas 95, 95. This ensures that even if the support members 200, 200 are pulled by the contraction force of the guideline member 3, the antennas 95, 95 act as stoppers, stably fixing the support members 200, 200 to the volleyball net 9.

Figure 9 is a perspective view showing the support member 200 of the volleyball practice equipment 1 shown in Figure 7. The fixing slot 220 is composed of a tapered opening guide portion 221, a holding portion 223 that holds the portion of the upper end 90 through which the upper cable 92 of the volleyball net 9 passes, and a passage portion 222 connecting the guide portion 221 and the holding portion 223.

The guide section 221 opens wider than the thickness of the upper end 90 in the front-rear direction and narrows towards the passage section 222. Therefore, when the upper end 90 enters the fixing slot, it is guided towards the passage section 222.

The passage section 222 guides the upper end portion 90, which has entered from the guide section 221, to the holding section 223 located further inside. The distance in the front-rear direction of the support member 200 of the passage section 222 is less than or equal to the thickness of the upper end portion 90 of the volleyball net 9 where the upper cable 92 passes through. Because the support member 200 is flexible, the passage section 222 can allow the upper end portion 90 to pass through even if the distance in the front-rear direction is less than the thickness of the upper end portion 90 of the volleyball net 9 where the upper cable 92 passes through. It is preferable that the passage section 222 extends to the holding section 223 at a constant interval.

The holding portion 223 has a greater spacing in the front-to-back direction than the passage portion 222, and can hold the upper end portion 90 of the volleyball net 9 through which the upper cable 92 passes. Therefore, the spacing of the holding portion 223 in the front-to-back direction may be equal to or greater than the thickness of the upper end portion 90 of the volleyball net 9 through which the upper cable 92 passes.

The upper end portion 90 is held by the holding portion 223 of the fixing slot 220, thereby stably fixing the support members 200, 200 to the upper end portion 90. Furthermore, because the support member 200 is flexible, it can be easily removed even when the upper end portion 90 is held by the holding portion 223 of the fixing slot 220. Therefore, the fixing slot 220 functions as a fixing means 20.

Furthermore, the bottom surface 212 of the winding slot 210 and the top surface 224 of the fixing slot 220 are at the same height. Therefore, when the support members 200, 200 are fixed to the upper end 90, and the guide line member 3 is positioned at the bottom surface 212 of the winding slot 210 when winding it around the winding section 211, the guide line member 3 is positioned at the same height as the upper end of the volleyball net 9.

The support member 200 should withstand the contraction force of the guideline member 3, tension the guideline member 3, and form a gap 4 between the volleyball net 9 and the guideline member 3. Therefore, the winding slot 210 does not necessarily open from the opposing side 201 to the opposite side 202; it may open from the opposing side 201 to the outside side 203, or from the opposite side 202 to the outside side 203. Similarly, the fixing slot 220 does not necessarily open from the opposing side 201 to the opposite side 202; it may open from the opposing side 201 to the inside side 205, or from the opposite side 202 to the inside side 205.

Therefore, by integrally forming the winding slot 210 and fixing slot 220 of the support member 200 solely by shaping, it can be detachably fixed to the upper end portion 90 using the fixing slot 220, and the guide line member 3 can be tensioned using the winding slot 210. Consequently, since the winding slot 210 and fixing slot 220 of the support member 200 of the volleyball practice equipment 10 are integrally formed, manufacturing costs can be reduced.

Although embodiments of the present invention have been described above, the present invention is not limited in any way to the examples described above, and can be implemented in various forms without departing from the spirit of the invention.
