Claims (20)
- 表示装置の一スライスに対する圧縮ストレスデータ(compressed stress data)を受信する段階、
前記圧縮ストレスデータを伸長して前記スライスに対する復元ストレスデータ(reconstructed stress data)を得る段階、
追加ストレスデータ(additional stress data)を前記復元ストレスデータに加えて前記スライスに対する更新ストレスデータ(updated stress data)を得る段階、
前記更新ストレスデータを第1正確度レベル(precision level,pc)で符号化して前記スライスに対する第1圧縮更新ストレスデータ(updated compressed stress data)を生成する段階、
前記スライスに対する前記第1圧縮更新ストレスデータのサイズ(bc)がバッファのサイズ(bt)より大きいことに応答して、第2正確度レベル(p)を決定する段階、および
前記更新ストレスデータを前記第2正確度レベル(p)で符号化して第2圧縮更新ストレスデータを生成する段階
を含み、
前記第2正確度レベル(p)を決定する段階は、前記第1正確度レベル(pc)、前記追加ストレスデータの第3正確度レベル(ps)および前記バッファの第4正確度レベル(pb)に基づく、
表示装置の制御方法。 - 前記第2正確度レベル(p)を決定する段階は、前記第2正確度レベル(p)を[(pc-pm)bt/bc]+pmと同一に設定する段階を含み、
pmは、前記第3正確度レベル(ps)及び前記第4正確度レベル(pb)のうち小さい方である、請求項1に記載の表示装置の制御方法。 - 前記追加ストレスデータの最上位ビット(MSB:most significant bit)に基づいて前記追加ストレスデータの前記第3正確度レベル(ps)を決定する段階、および
前記バッファ内のデータの最上位ビットに基づいて前記バッファの前記第4正確度レベル(pb)を決定する段階
をさらに含む、請求項2に記載の表示装置の制御方法。 - 前記第2正確度レベル(p)を決定する段階は、前記第2正確度レベル(p)をpcbt/bcと同一に設定する段階を含む、請求項1に記載の表示装置の制御方法。
- 前記第1正確度レベル(pc)は、前記圧縮ストレスデータを生成するために使用される正確度レベルである、請求項1に記載の表示装置の制御方法。
- 前記追加ストレスデータに加え、ディザを前記復元ストレスデータに加えて前記スライスに対する前記更新ストレスデータを求める段階をさらに含む、請求項1に記載の表示装置の制御方法。
- 前記第2圧縮更新ストレスデータが前記バッファ内に収まることを判断する段階、および
前記第2圧縮更新ストレスデータを前記バッファに保存する段階
をさらに含む、請求項1に記載の表示装置の制御方法。 - 圧縮ストレスデータ(compressed stress data)を保存するバッファ、
表示装置の一スライスに対する前記圧縮ストレスデータを受信し、前記圧縮ストレスデータを伸長して前記スライスに対する復元ストレスデータ(reconstructed stress data)を得る復号化回路、
追加ストレスデータ(additional stress data)を前記復元ストレスデータに加えて前記スライスに対する更新ストレスデータ(updated stress data)を得る加算回路、
前記更新ストレスデータを第1正確度レベル(precision level,pc)で符号化して前記スライスに対する第1圧縮更新ストレスデータ(updated compressed stress data)を生成する符号化回路、および
前記スライスに対する前記第1圧縮更新ストレスデータのサイズ(bc)がバッファのサイズ(bt)より大きいことに応答して、第2正確度レベル(p)を決定するプロセッサ
を含み、
前記プロセッサは、前記第1正確度レベル(pc)、前記追加ストレスデータの第3正確度レベル(ps)および前記バッファの第4正確度レベル(pb)に基づいて前記第2正確度レベル(p)を決定し、
前記符号化回路は、前記更新ストレスデータを前記第2正確度レベル(p)で符号化して第2圧縮更新ストレスデータを生成する、
表示装置。 - 前記プロセッサは、前記第2正確度レベル(p)を[(pc-pm)bt/bc]+pmと同一に設定することによって前記第2正確度レベル(p)を決定し、
pmは、前記第3正確度レベル(ps)及び前記第4正確度レベル(pb)のうち小さい方である、請求項8に記載の表示装置。 - 前記プロセッサは、
前記追加ストレスデータの最上位ビット(MSB:most significant bit)に基づいて前記追加ストレスデータの前記第3正確度レベル(ps)を決定し、
前記バッファ内のデータの最上位ビットに基づいて前記バッファの前記第4正確度レベル(pb)を決定する、請求項9に記載の表示装置。 - 前記プロセッサは、前記第2正確度レベル(p)をpcbt/bcと同一に設定することによって前記第2正確度レベル(p)を決定する、請求項8に記載の表示装置。
- 前記第1正確度レベル(pc)は、前記バッファに保存された前記圧縮ストレスデータを生成するために使用される正確度レベルである、請求項8に記載の表示装置。
- 前記追加ストレスデータに加え、ディザを前記復元ストレスデータに加えて前記スライスに対する前記更新ストレスデータを求めるディザリング回路をさらに含む、請求項8に記載の表示装置。
- 前記第2圧縮更新ストレスデータを前記バッファに保存するメモリ制御器をさらに含む、請求項8に記載の表示装置。
- 表示装置とともに備えられる非一時的コンピュータ読み取り可能媒体(non-transitory computer readable medium)であって、
プロセッサで実行されると前記表示装置の制御方法で制御を行うコンピュータコードを含み、
前記制御方法は、
表示装置の一スライスに対する圧縮ストレスデータ(compressed stress data)を受信する段階、
前記圧縮ストレスデータを伸長して前記スライスに対する復元ストレスデータ(reconstructed stress data)を得る段階、
追加ストレスデータ(additional stress data)を前記復元ストレスデータに加えて前記スライスに対する更新ストレスデータ(updated stress data)を得る段階、
前記更新ストレスデータを第1正確度レベル(precision level,pc)で符号化して前記スライスに対する第1圧縮更新ストレスデータ(updated compressed stress data)を生成する段階、
前記スライスに対する前記第1圧縮更新ストレスデータのサイズ(bc)がバッファのサイズ(bt)より大きいことに応答して、第2正確度レベル(p)を決定する段階、および
前記更新ストレスデータを前記第2正確度レベル(p)で符号化して第2圧縮更新ストレスデータを生成する段階

- 前記コンピュータコードは、前記プロセッサで実行されると、前記追加ストレスデータに加え、ディザを前記復元ストレスデータに加えて前記スライスに対する前記更新ストレスデータを求めることによって前記制御方法を行う、請求項15に記載の非一時的コンピュータ読み取り可能媒体。
- 前記コンピュータコードは、前記プロセッサで実行されると、
前記第2圧縮更新ストレスデータが前記バッファ内に収まることを判断し、
