The present invention relates to a pants-type absorbent article.

Among conventional absorbent articles that absorb excrement such as urine and feces, pants-type absorbent articles that can be worn like underwear are known. The present invention was made in consideration of the above problems, and its purpose is to provide a pants-type absorbent article that makes it easy for the wearer to recognize when they have inserted their fingers into the space.

The "unfolded state" of the diaper 1 refers to the state in which the diaper 1 in the pants-type state shown in FIG. 1 is unwound at both the left and right joints (end joints 40), the pair of waistbands 20, 30 (described later) are separated, the diaper 1 is opened in the vertical direction (longitudinal direction), and the diaper 1 is unfolded on a flat surface. The "stretched state" of the diaper 1 refers to the state in which the diaper 1 is stretched without wrinkles, specifically, the state in which the dimensions of each component constituting the diaper 1 (e.g., waistbands 20, 30, etc.) are stretched to the extent that they match or are close to the dimensions of the individual components.

In the pants-type state shown in FIG. 1, the diaper 1 has a vertical direction, a horizontal direction, and a front-to-back direction that intersect with each other, and is formed with a waist opening BH and a pair of leg openings LH. In the unfolded state shown in FIG. 2, the diaper 1 has a longitudinal direction, a horizontal direction, and a thickness direction that intersect with each other. The longitudinal direction in the unfolded state is the direction along the vertical direction of the pants-type state. The thickness direction is the direction in which the members that make up the diaper 1 are stacked (see FIG. 3 and FIG. 4). In the vertical direction, the waist opening BH side is the upper side, and the crotch side is the lower side. In the front-to-back direction, the side that faces the wearer's abdomen is the front side, and the side that faces the wearer's back is the rear side. In the thickness direction, the side that comes into contact with the wearer's body (skin) is the skin side, and the side opposite the skin side is the non-skin side.

The diaper 1 has a pair of waist sections 20, 30 that are placed around the waist of the wearer, and an absorbent body 10. Of the pair of waist sections 20, 30, the one that is placed against the wearer's abdominal side is referred to as the abdominal waist section 20, and the one that is placed against the wearer's dorsal side is referred to as the dorsal waist section 30.

In the unfolded state of the diaper 1 shown in FIG. 2, one end of the absorbent body 10 in the longitudinal direction is disposed in the center of the ventral waist section 20 in the left-right direction, and the non-skin side of the end of the one side is joined to the ventral waist section 20 by an adhesive such as a hot melt adhesive. Similarly, the other end of the absorbent body 10 in the longitudinal direction is disposed in the center of the dorsal waist section 30 in the left-right direction, and the non-skin side of the end of the other side is joined to the dorsal waist section 30 by an adhesive such as a hot melt adhesive. In the unfolded state of the diaper 1, the absorbent body 10 is folded in half at the center position CL, and both left-right sides of the ventral waist section 20 and the dorsal waist section 30 are joined at a pair of end joints 40 to form the pants-type diaper 1 shown in FIG. 1. Examples of the joining method at the end joints 40 include welding and joining with an adhesive.

As shown in FIG. 3, the absorbent body 10 includes an absorbent body 11 that absorbs excreted liquid, a liquid-permeable top sheet 12 arranged closer to the skin than the absorbent body 11 in the thickness direction, a liquid-impermeable back sheet 13 arranged closer to the skin than the absorbent body 11 in the thickness direction, and a sheet member 14. Both left and right sides of the top sheet 12 are folded back to the non-skin side so as to roll up the absorbent body 11. The sheet member 14 has a portion arranged closer to the skin than the back sheet 13 and a portion forming a leak-proof wall portion 50 closer to the skin than the top sheet 12.

The absorbent body 11 has an absorbent core 11a that absorbs and retains excreted liquids such as urine, and a liquid-permeable core wrap sheet 11b that covers the absorbent core 11a. An example of the absorbent core 11a is liquid-absorbent fibers such as pulp containing superabsorbent polymer (SAP) molded into a predetermined shape. On the other hand, an example of the core wrap sheet 11b is tissue paper. Note that the absorbent body 11 may not have a core wrap sheet. Note that the absorbent core 11a in the absorbent body 11 may have linear compressed parts, slits that run through in the thickness direction, high basis weight areas in which the basis weight of the liquid-absorbent fibers is partially increased, etc.

The top sheet 12 is a sheet-like member that covers the absorbent body 11 from the skin side, and is formed, for example, from a liquid-permeable nonwoven fabric with a planar size larger than that of the absorbent body 11.

The back sheet 13 is a sheet-like member that covers the absorbent body 11 from the non-skin side, and may be, for example, a liquid-impermeable leak-proof sheet made of polyethylene or polypropylene. The sheet member 14 may be, for example, a nonwoven fabric.

The absorbent body 10 has a pair of leak-proof walls 50 along the longitudinal direction on both sides in the left-right direction. When the diaper 1 is worn, the leak-proof walls 50 rise from both sides of the absorbent body 11 in the left-right direction toward the wearer's skin, thereby preventing excrement from leaking out of the absorbent body 10. In this embodiment, the sheet member 14 constituting the exterior of the absorbent body 10 has a planar size in the left-right direction larger than the top sheet 12 and the absorbent core 11a, and both left-right side portions of the sheet member 14 are folded toward the skin in the thickness direction at both ends in the left-right direction of the absorbent body 10, starting from the fulcrum 50B. The sheet member 14 is then folded back inward in the left-right direction at the fulcrum 50E located closer to the skin than the top sheet 12, and joined to the left-right ends of the top sheet 12 along the longitudinal direction at the joining portion 50A to form the leak-proof walls 50.

In the leak-preventing wall portion 50, a longitudinally contractible elastic member is fixed between the two stacked sheet members 14, 14 in a stretched state in the longitudinal direction of the absorbent body 10. In this embodiment, a plurality of leak-preventing wall elastic members 51 such as rubber threads are arranged side by side in the left-right direction as the elastic members. When the diaper 1 is worn, the leak-preventing wall portion 50 contracts along the longitudinal direction of the absorbent body 10 and stands up against the wearer's skin due to the stretchability exhibited by the leak-preventing wall elastic members 51, fitting to the wearer's crotch area.

The ventral waist portion 20 and the back waist portion 30 each have an inner layer sheet 21, 31, an outer layer sheet 22, 32 arranged on the non-skin side of the inner layer sheet 21, 31, and a plurality of waist elastic members 23, 33 that can stretch in the left-right direction. The inner layer sheet 21 and the outer layer sheet 22 are joined to each other via the waist elastic member 23 to which an adhesive is applied, and the inner layer sheet 31 and the outer layer sheet 32 are joined to each other via the waist elastic member 33 to which an adhesive is applied. The joining between the inner layer sheet 21 and the outer layer sheet 22 and the joining between the inner layer sheet 31 and the outer layer sheet 32 are not limited to adhesives, and may be joining means such as welding. In addition, as shown in FIG. 2, in the diaper 1, the area between the ventral waist portion 20 and the back waist portion 30 is the crotch portion MA. The crotch portion MA is the portion that corresponds to the crotch of the wearer when worn. The ventral waist portion 20 has ventral spaces Pa and Pb, and the dorsal waist portion 30 has dorsal spaces Pc and Pd. The spaces Pa, Pb, Pc, and Pd will be described later.

The inner layer sheets 21, 31 and the outer layer sheets 22, 32 are arranged on the non-skin side of the absorbent body 10. As the inner layer sheets 21, 31 and the outer layer sheets 22, 32, SMS nonwoven fabric (spunbond, meltblown, spunbond nonwoven fabric), spunbond nonwoven fabric, air-through nonwoven fabric, plastic sheet, perforated plastic sheet, and laminate sheets thereof can be used.

The waist elastic members 23, 33 are arranged side by side in the vertical direction in the pants-type state between the inner layer sheets 21, 31 and the outer layer sheets 22, 32, and are fixed in a stretched state in the horizontal direction. Therefore, the ventral waist section 20 and the dorsal waist section 30 fit the waist of the wearer. Examples of the waist elastic members 23, 33 include thread-like elastic members such as rubber and spandex. In addition, cover sheets 26, 36 may be provided to cover the upper end of the absorbent body 10 from the skin side.

In the unfolded and stretched state of FIG. 2, the ventral waist portion 20 is rectangular in plan view. The back waist portion 30 has an overlapping portion 30A that overlaps with the ventral waist portion 20 in the front-to-rear direction of the diaper 1 in the pants-type state, and an extending portion 30B that extends downward from the ventral waist portion 20. The overlapping portion 30A is rectangular in plan view, and the extending portion 30B is inverted trapezoidal in plan view. The extending portion 30B can cover the wearer's buttocks. On the other hand, the ventral waist portion 20 is shorter in the vertical direction than the back waist portion 30, and does not extend to the crotch side. Therefore, the movement of the legs that are pulled up to the ventral side when walking, etc. is not hindered, making it easier to walk.

The extension 30B of the back waist portion 30 has an extension elastic member 35 along its lower end. The extension elastic member 35 is fixed in a stretched state between the inner sheet 31 and the outer sheet 32, similar to the waist elastic member 33. The extension elastic member 35 allows the extension 30B to fit the wearer's buttocks and prevents the extension 30B from turning up. However, this is not limited to the above, and for example, the back waist portion 30 may have the same rectangular shape in plan view as the ventral waist portion 20 and may not have the extension elastic member 35.

When wearing a pants-type absorbent article such as a disposable diaper, the wearer first passes both legs through the waist opening and the leg opening, and then grabs the waist part and pulls it up. In pants-type absorbent articles, in order to make it easier to grab the waist part, for example, a space with an opening at the bottom, a so-called pocket, may be provided on the skin side or non-skin side of the waist part. Usually, if this pocket (space) has a rectangular shape surrounded by sides along the top-bottom direction and sides along the left-right direction, it is difficult for the wearer to recognize that he has put his hands in the pocket, and even if he puts his hands in the pocket, it is not necessarily easy to grab the waist part. In particular, since the back waist part is disposed on the back side of the wearer, it may not be directly visible to the wearer, and even if the absorbent article has a pocket, it is difficult for the wearer to recognize that he has put his fingers in the pocket, and it is not necessarily easy to grab the back waist part and pull it up.

In contrast, by having the rear waist portion 30 of the diaper 1 have the rear first space Pc, it becomes easier for the wearer to recognize that he or she has inserted a finger into the rear first space Pc, and it becomes easier to grasp the rear waist portion 30 with a finger inserted into the rear first space Pc, making it easier to pull up the diaper 1.

The following describes the features of the rear-side first space Pc in the rear-side waistband portion 30 of the diaper 1. Fig. 5 is an enlarged schematic view of a portion X in Fig. 2 .
As shown in Fig. 5, the back-side waistline portion (one-side waistline portion) 30 of the diaper 1 includes an inner layer sheet 31 and an outer layer sheet 32 (a pair of waistline sheet portions) joined together, and has a folded-back portion (sheet portion, one-side sheet portion) 34 on the non-skin side of the outer layer sheet 32. Hereinafter, the folded-back portion 34 is also referred to as the "back-side folded-back portion 34." The folded-back portion 34 has a back-side fixed portion (one-side fixed portion) T34 fixed to the outer layer sheet 32 by a fixing means S, and a back-side non-fixed portion (one-side non-fixed portion) U34 that is not fixed to the outer layer sheet 32.
The back-side first space Pc, which is the space between the outer sheet 32 and the back-side non-fixed portion U34 of the folded-back portion 34, is configured so that a finger can be inserted from below.
With regard to the fixing means S, the fixing means S is provided at a first position P1 in the vertical direction adjacent to one end ex1 of the rear non-fixed portion U34 in the left-right direction, and the fixing means S is provided at a second position P2 in the vertical direction adjacent to one end ex2 of the rear non-fixed portion U34 in the left-right direction.
When the dorsal waist portion 30 and the ventral waist portion 20 are stretched (see FIG. 2), an end ex1 on one side in the left-right direction of the dorsal non-fixed portion U34 at the first position P1 and an end ex2 on one side in the left-right direction of the dorsal non-fixed portion U34 at the second position P2 are provided at different positions in the left-right direction.

The folded-back portion 34 is the portion where the inner layer sheet 31 is folded back to the non-skin side with the outer layer sheet 32 in between. Specifically, as shown in FIG. 4, it is the portion where the inner layer sheet 31 is folded back from the skin side to the non-skin side so as to cover the upper end of the outer layer sheet 32. The vertical length of this folded-back portion 34 can be set as desired.

In this embodiment, the inner layer sheet 31 is folded back to the non-skin side, the folded back portion 34 is joined to the non-skin side of the outer layer sheet 32, and the first back space Pc is provided between the outer layer sheet 32 and the folded back portion 34, but this is not limited to the above. The folded back portion 34 may be formed, for example, by folding back the outer layer sheet 32, or a sheet member different from the inner layer sheet 31 and the outer layer sheet 32 may be fixed to the outer layer sheet 32.

In addition, in this embodiment, the folded-back portion 34 is provided on the non-skin side of the outer layer sheet 32 (the surface of the back waistband portion 30 closest to the skin), but this is not limited to this. The folded-back portion 34 may be fixed to the inner layer sheet 31 and provided on the surface of the back waistband portion 30 closest to the skin, or a sheet member different from the inner layer sheet 31 and the outer layer sheet 32 may be fixed to the inner layer sheet 31.

The fixing means S for fixing the folded-back member 34 and the outer layer sheet 32 in this embodiment is an adhesive S such as a hot melt adhesive. As shown in FIG. 5, the fixing means S in this embodiment is applied with the adhesive S in a so-called spiral pattern. The folded-back portion 34 and the outer layer sheet 32 are fixed together by the adhesive S. Therefore, when the back waist portion 30 (folded-back portion 34) is viewed in plan, the area that overlaps with the adhesive S is the "back fixed portion T34" of the folded-back portion 34, and the area that does not overlap with the adhesive S is the "back non-fixed portion U34" of the folded-back portion 34. In FIG. 5, for convenience, the back fixed portion T34 is shown by a solid line as the same portion as the adhesive S, and the back non-fixed portion U34 is shown by a diagonal line slanting downward to the left.

Regarding the back fixing portion T34, the fixing means S for fixing the folded portion 34 to the outer layer sheet 32 is not limited to adhesive. The fixing means S may be, for example, any fixing means such as welding, or the end joint portion 40 of the diaper 1. When the fixing means S is the end joint portion 40, the back fixing portion T34 is a portion that overlaps with the end joint portion 40 that welds the ventral waist portion 20 and the back waist portion 30 together in a plan view. In this case, the other end of the first space Pc in the left-right direction coincides with the inner end of the end joint portion 40 on the other side of the left-right direction of the diaper 1.

The back-side first space Pc is a space between the outer layer sheet 32 and the folded-back portion 34, configured so that a finger can be inserted from below. In other words, it is a back-side non-fixed portion U34 where the outer layer sheet 32 and the folded-back portion 34 are not fixed, and the back-side non-fixed portion U34 has a length in the vertical direction sufficient to allow a finger to be inserted from the lower end of the folded-back portion 34. The upper end tpc of the back-side first space Pc is the lowermost position of the fixing means S adjacent to the back-side non-fixed portion U34 in the vertical direction. The lower end of the back-side first space Pc is the lower end 34e of the folded-back portion 34 in the vertical direction.
From the viewpoint of ensuring a sufficient length for finger insertion, the length from the upper end tpc to the lower end 34e of the back-side first space Pc is preferably 5 mm or more, more preferably 10 mm or more, and even more preferably 15 mm or more in an extended state in which the back-side waistline portion 30 and the ventral waistline portion 20 are extended. Moreover, the length from the upper end tpc to the lower end 34e of the back-side first space Pc is preferably 70 mm or less, more preferably 60 mm or less, and even more preferably 50 mm or less in an extended state in which the back-side waistline portion 30 and the ventral waistline portion 20 are extended.
From the viewpoint of ensuring a sufficient length for finger insertion, the length in the left-right direction of the part where the distance between the end ex on one side in the left-right direction of the back-side non-fixed part U34 adjacent to the fixing means S in the back-side first space Pc and the end ey on the other side in the left-right direction is the longest in the stretched state in which the back-side waistline part 30 and the ventral waistline part 20 are stretched is preferably 10 mm or more, more preferably 15 mm or more, and even more preferably 20 mm or more. The fixing means S adjacent to one end ex1 of the back non-fixed part U34 in the left-right direction at the first position P1 is the boundary point ex1 between the fixing means S and the back non-fixed part U34, and the fixing means S adjacent to one end ex2 of the back non-fixed part U34 in the left-right direction at the second position P2 is also the boundary point ex2 between the fixing means S and the back non-fixed part U34.

In the stretched state in which the dorsal waist portion 30 and the ventral waist portion 20 are stretched, the end ex1 on one side of the dorsal non-fixed portion U34 at the first position P1 and the end ex2 on one side of the dorsal non-fixed portion U34 at the second position P2 are provided at different positions in the left-right direction. In this embodiment, as shown in FIG. 5, the end (boundary point) ex1 of the first position P1 is located on the other side of the end (boundary point) ex2 of the second position P2.

The way of gripping and pulling up the back waist portion 30 varies depending on the wearer. As shown in Figure 5, in the back first space Pc, the boundary between one end of the back non-fixed part U34 in the left-right direction and the back fixed part T34 in the left-right direction is defined as one-side boundary point ex, and the boundary between the other end of the back non-fixed part U34 in the left-right direction and the back fixed part T34 in the left-right direction is defined as the other-side boundary point ey.

In the left-right direction, the region between one-side boundary point ex1 at the first position P1 and one-side boundary point ex2 at the second position P2 is defined as an adjacent region Rc. This adjacent region Rc has an upper adjacent region Rct above the center cr in the up-down direction of the back-side first space Pc, and a lower adjacent region Rce below the center cr in the up-down direction of the back-side first space Pc. For the upper adjacent region Rct and the lower adjacent region Rce, it is preferable that the peel strength per unit area for peeling the fixation between the outer layer sheet 32 and the folded portion 34 in the upper adjacent region Rct is greater than the peel strength per unit area for peeling the fixation between the outer layer sheet 32 and the folded portion 34 in the lower adjacent region Rce.

As a result, even when a wearer presses his or her finger against the upper end of the interior of the first back space Pc and applies an upward force to pull up the diaper 1 in order to put on the diaper 1, the risk of the outer layer sheet 32 and the folded-back portion 34 being peeled off in the upper adjacent region Rct can be reduced compared to when the peel strength per unit area of the upper adjacent region Rct is smaller than the peel strength per unit area of the lower adjacent region Rce. On the other hand, for the upper adjacent region Rct and the lower adjacent region Rce, the peel strength per unit area for peeling the fixation between the outer layer sheet 32 and the folded-back portion 34 in the upper adjacent region Rct may be smaller than the peel strength per unit area for peeling the fixation between the outer layer sheet 32 and the folded-back portion 34 in the lower adjacent region Rce.

As a result, even when a wearer inserts his/her finger into the first back space Pc to pull up the diaper 1 in order to put on the diaper 1, the risk of the outer layer sheet 32 in the lower adjacent region Rce and the folded-back portion 34 becoming detached from each other can be reduced compared to when the peel strength per unit area of the upper adjacent region Rct is made greater than the peel strength per unit area of the lower adjacent region Rce. This makes it easier for the wearer to pull up the diaper 1 while reducing concerns that the diaper 1 may be damaged by the act of putting it on.

The peel strength, which indicates the force required to peel off the outer sheet 32 from the folded-back portion 34, is also the bonding strength, which indicates the strength of the fixation between the outer sheet 32 and the folded-back portion 34. The peel strength of each adjacent region Rct, Rce can be measured by a known method. For example, the upper adjacent region Rct and the lower adjacent region Rce are cut out and each is made into a sample piece. Then, for each sample piece, tape is applied to the ends of both sides of the inner sheet 31 (the member closest to the skin of the back waist portion 30) and the folded-back portion 34 to create a pair of gripping portions. The pair of gripping portions are each clamped in the chucks of a tensile tester. Then, the load of the tensile tester is set to zero and measurement is started. The chuck distance is 10 mm, the tensile speed is 100 mm/min, and the maximum load is read. This measurement is performed multiple times (N=10) to calculate the average value of the maximum load. The calculated maximum load is converted into a load per unit width (N/25 mm), and the magnitude of the peeling force is divided by the area of the upper adjacent region Rct and the lower adjacent region Rce to obtain the peel strength per unit area. It is recommended to compare the results. The peel strength should be measured in a constant environment (for example, a temperature of 20°C (±2°C), humidity of 60% (±5%)) with the temperature of the sample piece stable.

The rear waist portion 30 may have not only the rear first space Pc provided on the other side in the left-right direction, but also a rear second space Pd (another space) different from the rear first space Pc. FIG. 6 is an enlarged schematic diagram of portion Y in FIG. 2. The rear second space Pd in this embodiment is provided on one side of the center C-C in the left-right direction of the rear waist portion 30, at a position spaced apart in the left-right direction from the rear first space Pc and at a position spaced apart in the left-right direction from the end joint portion 40 on one side in the left-right direction of the diaper 1.

The second back space Pd, like the first back space Pc, has an outer layer sheet portion 32 and a folded portion (sheet portion) 34 on the non-skin side of the outer layer sheet 32, and the folded portion 34 has a back fixed portion T34 fixed to the outer layer sheet 32 by a fixing means S, and a back non-fixed portion U34 that is not fixed to the outer layer sheet 32. The second back space Pd, which is the space between the outer layer sheet 32 and the back non-fixed portion U34 of the folded portion 34, is configured so that a finger can be inserted from below. In this embodiment, the first back space Pc and the second back space Pd are formed by a single folded portion 34, but this is not limited to this. The sheet portion for forming the first back space Pc and the sheet portion for forming the second back space Pd may be separate sheet portions or may be discontinuous sheet portions.

Regarding the fastening means S for forming the back second space Pd, the fastening means S is provided adjacent to one end dx3 of the back non-fixed part U34 in the left-right direction at the third position P3 in the up-down direction. In this embodiment, the back first space Pc and the back second space Pd are formed by one folded part 34, the fastening means S for forming the back first space Pc and the fastening means S for forming the back second space Pd have a continuous part, and the back fixed part T34 has a continuous part from one end of the back waist part 30 in the left-right direction to the other end.

In the stretched state in which the back waist portion 30 and the ventral waist portion 20 are stretched, in the first back space Pc, the distance between the end ex on one side in the left-right direction of the back non-fixed part U34 and the end ey on the other side in the left-right direction is shortest at the first position P1 in the vertical direction, and in the second back space Pd, the distance between the end dx on one side in the left-right direction of the back non-fixed part U34 and the end dy on the other side in the left-right direction is shortest at the third position P3 in the vertical direction. In such a case, it is preferable that the distance L1 between the end ex1 on one side in the left-right direction of the back non-fixed part U34 and the end ey1 on the other side in the left-right direction at the first position P1 in the vertical direction is different from the distance L3 between the end dx3 on one side in the left-right direction of the back non-fixed part U34 and the end dy3 on the other side in the left-right direction at the third position P3 in the vertical direction. In other words, it is preferable that the minimum value of the length in the left-right direction of the first back space Pc is different from the minimum value of the length in the left-right direction of the second back space Pd. In this embodiment, the distance L1 between the end ex1 on one side and the end ey1 on the other side at the first position P1 is longer than the distance L3 between the end dx3 on one side and the end dy3 on the other side in the left-right direction at the third position P3 (see Figures 5 and 6).

This allows the wearer to easily recognize that he or she has inserted a finger into at least one of the rear first space Pc or the rear second space Pd, so that the wearer's finger can easily come into contact with the uneven portion on the inside (inner wall) of the rear first space Pc or the rear second space Pd, and the wearer can easily grasp or apply force to the rear waist portion 30 with the finger inserted into the rear first space Pc or the rear second space Pd, which makes it easier for the wearer to pull the diaper 1 upward and makes it easier for the wearer to put on the diaper 1. With regard to the first back space Pc and the second back space Pd of the back waist section 30, in a stretched state in which the back waist section 30 and the ventral waist section 20 are stretched, at the first position P1 in the up-down direction, it is preferable that the distance L1 between the end ex1 on one side in the left-right direction and the end ey1 on the other side in the left-right direction of the back non-fixed section U34 of the first back space Pc is different from the distance Ld1 between the end dx1 on one side in the left-right direction and the end dy1 on the other side in the left-right direction of the back non-fixed section U34 of the second back space Pd.

In a plan view of the back waist portion 30 (see Fig. 1B, Fig. 2, etc.), it is preferable that the folded portion 34 has a portion that is different in color or pattern from the outer layer sheet 22 (or the inner layer sheet 21). For example, the outer layer sheet 22 may be white and the folded portion 34 may be blue, or the outer layer sheet 22 may be a plain sheet and the folded portion 34 may have a floral pattern. Also, in a plan view of the back waist portion 30, the portion of the folded portion 34 that overlaps with the first back space Pc may have a portion that is different in color or pattern from the outer layer sheet 22.

This makes it easier for the wearer to visually recognize that the diaper 1 has a first rear space Pc into which a finger can be inserted, making it easier to insert a finger into the first rear space Pc and making it easier to put on the diaper 1.

In addition, in a plan view of the back waist portion 30 (see FIG. 1B, FIG. 2, etc.), the portion overlapping with the back first space Pc may have a different light transmittance from the surroundings of the back first space Pc. The light transmittance can be measured by a known method. For example, the light transmittance of the back first space Pc and the surroundings of the back first space Pc can be measured as follows based on JIS-K7105. First, a sample piece 30 mm wide and 30 mm long is taken from the portion to be measured. Then, the Tt value (%) of the taken sample piece is measured using a commercially available color difference meter (for example, Nippon Denshoku Kogyo Co., Ltd.'s public illumination photometric color difference meter Z-300A) to determine the total light transmittance. Note that the color difference meter is turned on 30 minutes before the measurement.

The rear waist portion 30 may be provided with a marking (not shown) for indicating the position of the rear first space Pc. Examples of the marking for indicating the position of the rear first space Pc include an arrow, wording, or a design indicating the position of the rear first space Pc. By providing the rear waist portion 30 with a marking for indicating the position of the rear first space Pc, the wearer can easily recognize the position of the rear first space Pc. This makes it easier for the wearer to insert their fingers into the first rear space Pc, making it easier to put on the diaper 1.

As in the diaper 1, it is preferable that the back waist portion 30 is provided with a back first space Pc, and it is preferable that the back waist portion 30 is provided with a lower elastic member 33s (lower elastic member) that is a waist elastic member (elastic member) 33 that stretches in the left-right direction below the folded-back portion 34. Figure 7 is an enlarged view of the back waist portion 30 in Figure 2. When the back-side waistline portion 30 is provided with the back-side first space Pc, in addition to the lower elastic member 33s provided below the folded-back portion 34 of the back-side waistline portion 30, it is preferable to provide an elastic member 33 that expands and contracts in the left-right direction above the folded-back portion. The elastic member 33 has a lower first elastic member (lower elastic member, lower first elastic member) 33sa, a lower second elastic member (lower second elastic member) 33sb, an upper first elastic member (upper elastic member, upper first elastic member) 33ua, and an upper second elastic member (upper second elastic member) 33ub.
The lower first elastic member 33sa is adjacent to the lower end 34e of the folded portion 34 from below.
The lower second elastic member 33sb is adjacent to the lower first elastic member 33sa from below.
The upper first elastic member 33ua is adjacent to the lower end 34e of the folded-back portion 34 from above.
The upper second elastic member 33ub is adjacent to the upper first elastic member 33ua from above.

For the waist elastic members 33 of the back waist portion 30, it is preferable that the force that stretches the lower first elastic member 33sa by a unit length is greater than the force that stretches the upper first elastic member 33ua by a unit length. This makes it easier for the lower side of the back first space Pc to open due to contraction of the lower elastic member 33s than when the force that stretches the lower first elastic member 33sa by a unit length is smaller than the force that stretches the upper first elastic member 33ua by a unit length. This makes it easier for the wearer to insert their fingers into the back first space Pc, even on the back side, which is difficult to see directly when wearing the garment.

In addition, it is more preferable that the distance Ls between the lower first elastic member 33sa and the lower second elastic member 33sb of the waistline elastic member 33 of the back waistline portion 30 is shorter than the distance Lu between the upper first elastic member 33ua and the upper second elastic member 33ub. The shorter the distance between adjacent waistline elastic members 33 in the vertical direction, the easier it is to contract the back waistline portion 30 in the left-right direction. Therefore, when the distance Ls is shorter than the distance Lu, the waistline elastic member 33 makes it easier to contract the back waistline portion 30 in the left-right direction than when the distance Ls is longer than the distance Lu, and the lower side of the back first space Pc is easier to open. This makes it easier for the wearer to insert their fingers into the back first space Pc, even on the back side, which is difficult to see directly when wearing the garment.

In the back waist portion 30, the lower end of the folded portion 34 has a non-adhesive portion DE between the outer layer sheet 32 and the lower end of the folded portion 34, and it is preferable that this non-adhesive portion DE is continuous with the back first space Pc. The non-adhesive portion DE is an area where the lower end of the folded portion 34 is not adhered to the outer layer sheet 32, and is an area that opens downward, but is not large enough to allow the wearer's finger to be inserted. However, since the non-adhesive portion DE is continuous with the back first space Pc, the non-adhesive portion DE serves as a catch for opening the back first space Pc, making it easier for the lower side of the back first space Pc to open. This makes it easier for the wearer to insert their finger into the back first space Pc.

In addition, in the back waist portion 30, a non-adhesive portion um is preferably provided between the folded portion 34 and the outer layer sheet 32, where the folded portion 34 and the outer layer sheet 32 are not adhered to each other. This non-adhesive portion um preferably has a portion that continues from the end joint portion 40 on one side in the left-right direction to the end joint portion 40 on the other side in the left-right direction between the first position P1 and the second position P2 in the vertical direction. The non-adhesive portion um is not large enough to insert a finger. In addition, in the back waist portion 30, it is preferable that the folded portion 34 has a portion having higher rigidity than the outer layer sheet 32. The folded portion 34 of the back waist portion 30 of the diaper 1 of this embodiment is a portion where the inner layer sheet 31 is folded back toward the non-skin side, and the folded portion 34 has a portion having higher rigidity than the outer layer sheet 32 by having a portion f where the tip of the folded portion 34 is further folded back toward the skin side. This increases the rigidity of the folded portion 34, and when a finger is inserted into the first back space Pc, it becomes easier to apply force to the back waist portion 30, while reducing the risk of the diaper 1 being damaged. Note that the method of providing a portion having higher rigidity in the folded portion 34 is not limited to the folded portion f, but may include fixing a sheet member other than the inner layer sheet 31 or the outer layer sheet 32 to the folded portion 34, or using a sheet member having higher rigidity other than the inner layer sheet 31 or the outer layer sheet 32 as the "sheet member" in place of the folded portion 34.

It is also preferable that not only the rear waist portion 30 but also the ventral waist portion (other side waist portion) 20 has a ventral first space Pa or a ventral second space Pb. Figure 8 is an enlarged schematic diagram of portion Z in Figure 2. In addition to the ventral first space Pa, the diaper 1 has a ventral second space Pb. The ventral second space Pb has the same configuration as the ventral first space Pa described below, so details thereof will be omitted.

The abdominal waist portion 20 of the diaper 1 of this embodiment includes an inner layer sheet 21 and an outer layer sheet 22 (a pair of other side waist portion portions) joined together, and has an abdominal fold portion (other side fold portion) 24 on the non-skin side of the outer layer sheet 22. The abdominal fold portion 24 has an abdominal fixed portion (other side fixed portion) T24 fixed to the outer layer sheet 22 by a fixing means S, and an abdominal non-fixed portion (other side non-fixed portion) U24 that is not fixed to the outer layer sheet 22. The first abdominal space Pa is provided on the other side of the center C-C in the left-right direction of the abdominal waist portion 20, and is provided at a position spaced apart in the left-right direction from the end joint portion 40 on the other side in the left-right direction of the diaper 1.

Regarding the fixing means S for forming the first ventral space Pa, at the fourth position P4 in the vertical direction, the fixing means S is provided adjacent to the end ax4 on one side in the left-right direction of the ventral non-fixed part U24, and the fixing means S is provided adjacent to the end ay4 on the other side in the left-right direction of the ventral non-fixed part U24.

In the stretched state in which the dorsal waistline portion 30 and the ventral waistline portion 20 are stretched, in the dorsal first space Pc, the distance between the end ex on one side in the left-right direction of the dorsal non-fixed portion U34 and the end ey on the other side in the left-right direction is shortest at the first position P1 in the vertical direction, and in the ventral first space Pa, the distance between the end ax on one side in the left-right direction of the ventral non-fixed portion U24 and the end ay on the other side in the left-right direction is shortest at the fourth position P4 in the vertical direction. Also in the ventral waist portion 20, as shown in FIG. 8, with respect to the ventral fixed portion T24 and the ventral non-fixed portion U24, a fixing means S is provided adjacent to one end ax5 of the ventral non-fixed portion U24 in the left-right direction at a fifth position P5 in the vertical direction, and a fixing means S is provided adjacent to one end ax6 of the dorsal non-fixed portion U34 in the left-right direction at a sixth position P6 in the vertical direction.
In a stretched state in which the dorsal waist portion 30 and the ventral waist portion 20 are stretched, an end ax5 on one side of the ventral non-fixed portion U24 at the fifth position P5 and an end ay6 on one side of the ventral non-fixed portion U24 at the sixth position P6 are provided at different positions in the left-right direction.
