Description

The present invention relates to a rail fastening device that fastens the flange portion of a rail to a sleeper using the elastic force of a wire spring member.

Railway tracks are made up of sleepers laid on the trackbed, rails placed on the sleepers, and rail fastening devices for fastening the rails to the sleepers. In recent years, rail fastening devices have been proposed that use a wire spring member with a clip function that is bent into a "U" shape, and that uses the elastic force of the wire spring member to press and hold the rail flange (see, for example, Patent Documents 1 to 3).

The spring support body constituting a conventional rail fastening device using a wire spring member is installed on both sides of the rail flange and has a through hole extending in the longitudinal direction of the rail. The wire spring member is formed in a "no" shape with a clip function, with an insertion part provided at the beginning of the "no" character and a flange pressing part provided at the end of the "no" character, and a support part provided between the insertion part and the flange pressing part. The insertion part is the part that is inserted into the through hole of the spring support body, and the flange pressing part is the part that presses and holds the rail flange.

特公昭57-47321号公報Japanese Patent Publication No. 57-47321 実開平2-6701号公報Japanese Utility Model Application Publication No. 2-6701 特許第4154319号公報Patent No. 4154319

When using a conventional rail fastening device to fasten a rail to a sleeper, the worker uses a commercially available lever-shaped tool called a pump puller to push the insertion part of the wire spring member into the through-hole of the spring support. However, it is difficult to control the amount of force used, and the tip of the insertion part inserted into the through-hole often pops out of the hole, so the worker must actually use the pump puller to readjust the position of the insertion part.

However, during the readjustment work, the insertion portion of the wire spring member may break or the broken insertion portion may remain in the through hole, making it necessary to replace it with a new wire spring member or remove the insertion portion remaining in the through hole, resulting in reduced work efficiency.

The problem that this invention aims to solve is to provide a rail fastening device that can reduce breakage of wire spring members during the work of fixing rails to sleepers and improve work efficiency.

Below, a rail fastening device 100 according to an embodiment of the present invention will be described with reference to Figures 1 to 6.

As shown in Figures 1 and 2, the rail fastening device 100 includes a spring support 10 arranged on the iron sleeper 3 along the flanges 2, 2 on both sides of the rail 1 laid on the iron sleeper 3, and a wire spring member 11 with a clip function that elastically engages the spring support 10 and the flanges 2, 2 of the rail 1. The spring support 10 is fixed to the upper surface of the iron sleeper 3 by a welded portion 13. The wire spring member 11 has a planar shape of the character "no", and has an insertion portion 11a provided at one end side (the start side of the character "no"), a flange pressing portion 11c provided at the other end side (the end side of the character "no"), and a support portion 11b provided in the portion between the insertion portion 11a and the flange pressing portion 11c.

The rail fastening device 100 according to this embodiment is used as a fastening means for a rail 1 laid on steel sleepers 3, but is not limited to this and can also be used for sleepers other than steel sleepers 3 (e.g. concrete sleepers, etc.).

As shown in Figures 3 to 5, the spring support 10 has a cavity 12 formed along the longitudinal direction L of the rail 1. The cavity 12 has an opening 12a at one end in the longitudinal direction L, and the other end in the longitudinal direction L is closed by a wall 12b. The wall 12b has a through hole 12c that communicates with the cavity 12.

In the rail fastening device 100, the distance 12d from the end face of the opening 12a of the hollow portion 12 of the spring support 10 to the inner surface of the wall portion 12b within the hollow portion 12 is set to be equal to the length 11d of the insertion portion 11a of the wire spring member 11 (the straight portion at the beginning of the character "no"), but is not limited to this.

As shown in Figures 1 and 2, the insertion portion 11a of the wire spring member 11 is inserted into the cavity 12 through the opening 12a of the spring support 10, and the flange pressing portion 11c of the wire spring member 11 abuts against the upper surface of the flange 2 of the rail 1, pressing and holding the flange 2 against the iron sleeper 3, thereby fastening the rail 1 onto the iron sleeper 3.

Next, a method of mounting the wire spring member 11 to the spring support member 10 in the rail fastening device 100 will be described with reference to Figures 1 and 6. The method of mounting the wire spring member 11 to the spring support member 10 in the rail fastening device 100 shown in Figure 1 is the same as in the case of a conventional rail fastening device, and an operator can use a commercially available lever-shaped tool (not shown) called a pump puller or the like to push the insertion portion 11a of the wire spring member 11 into the hollow portion 12 of the spring support member 10.

That is, as shown in FIG. 6, the tip side of the insertion portion 11a of the wire spring member 11 is positioned toward the opening 12a of the hollow portion 12 of the spring support 10, and the tip side of the insertion portion 11a is inserted into the hollow portion 12 from the opening 12a. Then, the tip of the pumper (not shown) is engaged with the outside of the wall portion 12b of the spring support 10 and near the apex of the "" character of the wire spring member 11, and the base end of the pumper is tilted in the direction of the arrow X. The wire spring member 11 moves in the direction of the arrow X, and the insertion portion 11a is inserted into the hollow portion 12 of the spring support 10.

During the process of inserting the insertion portion 11a of the wire spring member 11 into the cavity 12 of the spring support 10, the insertion of the insertion portion 11a is prevented when the tip 11e of the insertion portion 11a abuts against the inner surface 12e of the wall portion 12b of the cavity 12, so the insertion portion 11a of the wire spring member 11 does not protrude from the spring support 10. This eliminates the need for position adjustment work after inserting the insertion portion 11a into the cavity 12, as was previously required, and prevents breakage of the insertion portion 11a, improving workability. In addition, work efficiency is improved by eliminating the need for position adjustment work after inserting the insertion portion 11a into the cavity 12.

On the other hand, in conventional rail fastening structures, when the wire spring member 11 becomes thinner due to deterioration over time, or the insertion portion 11a of the wire spring member 11 becomes stuck inside the cavity 12 of the spring support 10, if an attempt is made to forcibly remove the insertion portion 11a of the wire spring member 11 from the cavity 12, the insertion portion 11a may break and remain inside the cavity 12, making it difficult to remove the broken portion.

However, in the rail fastening device 100, if a rod (not shown) or the like is inserted into the hollow portion 12 from the outside of the through hole 12c provided in the wall portion 12b and the broken portion of the insertion portion 11a remaining in the hollow portion 12 is moved toward the opening 12a, the broken portion of the insertion portion 11a can be easily removed from the hollow portion 12. Therefore, even if the broken portion of the insertion portion 11a remains in the hollow portion 12, the labor required for removing the broken portion can be significantly reduced.

In addition, by providing the through hole 12c, it is possible to ensure ventilation within the cavity 12, particularly in the inner part of the cavity 12 (the part close to the inner surface 12e of the wall 12b), so that the cavity 12 can be kept dry and rust and corrosion caused by residual moisture can be prevented. In addition, since the tip 11e of the insertion part 11a is normally only in contact with the inner surface 12e of the wall 12b, it is possible to ensure ventilation while preventing soil particles, dust, and the like from entering the cavity 12 via the through hole 12c.

Note that the rail fastening device 100 described based on Figures 1 to 6 shows one example of a rail fastening device according to the present invention, and the rail fastening device according to the present invention is not limited to the rail fastening device 100 described above.

The rail fastening device of the present invention can be widely used in fields such as the railway industry, where fastening and repair work is performed on rails laid on railways.
