Description
The present invention relates to a control method, control device, welding system, and program for electroslag welding or electrogas welding.
Vertical welding is often used in the manufacture of structures in the fields of shipbuilding and industrial machinery. Electrogas arc welding (hereinafter referred to as EGW) or electroslag welding (hereinafter referred to as ESW) is generally used for this type of welding, and automation has been progressing for some time.
Regarding the automation of EGW, Patent Document 1 discloses a method for controlling the travel of the welding head while widening the scope of application. In Patent Document 1, the feed speed of the welding wire is detected, and the welding current that changes in accordance with fluctuations in the wire extension is detected, and these two detected values are used to control the travel speed of the welding head. In this way, the wire extension is controlled to be kept almost constant.
In addition, regarding the automation of ESW, Patent Document 2 shows a configuration in which, in electroslag welding using a sliding backing, welding is performed while maintaining the slag bath depth at a predetermined depth, ensuring sound penetration and preventing deterioration of the mechanical properties of the weld metal. In Patent Document 2, in electroslag welding, flux is supplied so that the length of the welding wire from the tip of the contact tip to the slag bath is a predetermined length. Then, the travel speed of a traveling carriage carrying a welding torch and a sliding backing is adjusted so that the welding current has a predetermined relationship with a reference current value. In this way, welding is performed while maintaining the slag bath depth at a predetermined depth.
Each welding method, EGW and ESW, has its own advantages, and it is desirable to use them appropriately depending on the situation. For example, EGW can achieve high efficiency. On the other hand, ESW excels in welding workability, such as reducing fumes and spatter. However, since EGW and ESW are controlled differently, it is difficult to apply the control method of Patent Document 1, for example, to ESW, and a separate device is required to use EGW and ESW appropriately.
Furthermore, in Patent Document 1, a function of the welding current and the extension length is obtained when the extension length is constant. At this time, the constants must be adjusted individually each time the extension length is changed. In Patent Document 2, the function is determined with the wire feed speed constant, and as in Patent Document 1, the control formula must be adjusted according to the application. Therefore, in Patent Documents 1 and 2, optimal automatic control cannot be performed when various welding conditions need to be changed, for example, when the plate thickness changes during welding, and general-purpose use corresponding to various conditions cannot be performed. For this reason, it takes time to adjust the control formula and switch the welding method, and work efficiency decreases. In addition, since it is difficult to automatically change the welding conditions appropriately during welding, welding cannot be performed under appropriate welding conditions, and adverse effects such as deterioration of welding quality occur.
The objective of this invention is to provide a control method that can be applied to both EGW and ESW welding methods with a single device, and that is versatile enough to be applied under a variety of welding conditions.

The flux
As welding progresses, the
The amount of solidified
In this embodiment, control is performed to keep the depth Ls of the
The first requirement for keeping the depth Ls of the
The dry extension Ld can be controlled by detecting the
In the case of EGW, since there is no

The slag

In this embodiment, the sliding
The molten
Moreover, it is more preferable that the
If a space is simply provided between the
The detection circuit (not shown) included in the molten
The reference signal setter outputs a voltage that is a predetermined ratio of the potential difference between the
As described above, when the
The comparator receives the output signal of the differential amplifier and the reference signal of the reference signal setter as inputs, and generates a detection signal indicating that the
The detection signal generated by the comparator is also input to the traveling
In addition, in the detection circuit, a filter circuit may be provided after the differential amplifier to prevent false detection and increase the accuracy of the detection signal. In this case, whether or not the

[Problems with the Prior Art]
Here, the problems associated with the conventional technology will be described. Conventionally, ESW or EGW stabilizes the welding operation by controlling the rising speed based on the difference between the detected welding current and the preset target value of the welding current, while keeping the set value of the extension length or the set value of the feed speed constant. However, for example, the appropriate welding conditions such as the welding current, extension length, and feed speed differ depending on the difference in the welding method such as ESW or EGW, or the difference in the welding conditions such as the composition of the welding wire, the wire diameter, the plate thickness, and the groove shape. Therefore, in the conventional control method as described above, various melting rate equations must be constructed according to the conditions.
Conventionally, it is essential to take the difference between the welding current and a preset reference value of the welding current, and the extension length or feed speed value is fixed. Since the welding current fluctuates, the thermal energy changes depending on the welding position, and the penetration varies depending on the position. Therefore, if the extension length or feed speed value is fixed, depending on the situation, welding defects such as insufficient fusion may occur. In other words, conventional methods cannot generally control according to the situation, such as by keeping the welding current constant to stabilize the thermal energy or by keeping the feed speed constant to stabilize the deposition amount according to the welding conditions. The purpose of this embodiment is to solve the above problems.

Fig. 4 is a diagram for explaining an example of a functional configuration of the traveling

In this embodiment, the
The
In this embodiment, construction information including at least the items of the welding method and welding material is associated with coefficient information including at least two or more coefficients. At least two or more coefficients associated with each combination of welding method and welding material are set so that a constant relationship is maintained even if the values of at least the feed speed, welding current, and extension length change. As a result, appropriate values are derived for welding conditions such as the feed speed, welding current, and extension length even when the welding method and welding conditions are different. Therefore, it is not necessary to manually adjust functions individually according to the welding method and welding conditions or to define separate functions each time, as in the past. In addition, it is possible to utilize various welding methods and welding conditions by using only predefined functions, and stable welding quality can be maintained.
The reference
The welding

Figure 5 is a diagram showing an example of the configuration of a DB managed by the
Furthermore, the
The reference
The reference
The control
The processing flow according to this embodiment will be described with reference to FIG. 7. This processing flow may be realized by a control unit (not shown) provided in the traveling
In S701, the traveling
At S702, the traveling
In S703, the traveling
In S704, the traveling
In S705, the traveling
Ext:
Wf : Feed speed I: Welding current Ext: Extension length
a, b, c, d: coefficients specified using DB
As shown in formula (1), there is a correlation between the items of the welding conditions. For example, when the feed speed and the extension length are specified as the welding conditions, the reference value of the welding condition can be calculated. In other words, a formula is specified corresponding to the items input in S702, and the reference value for the items that have not been input can be calculated. In addition, in the case of formula (1), the constants a, b, c, and d correspond to the items of the coefficient information determined in S703.
Note that formula (1) is applicable whether the welding method is ESW or EGW. In the case of ESW, formula (1) can be applied by replacing Ext, which indicates the extension length, with the dry extension value.
In S706, the traveling
In S707, the traveling
In S708, the traveling
If : Actual measured current value (feedback value)
I c : Reference value (target value) of current
Kp : Proportional gain (constant)
K I : Integral gain (constant)

(Modification)
