Description
Claims (19)
- 支持部と収集器とを有する展開可能アンテナを作製する方法であって、
複数の炭素繊維を適切な長さで提供するステップであって、複数の炭素繊維がサイジングにおいて保持される、ステップと、
溶剤を用いてサイジングを除去して、洗浄された複数の炭素繊維を作るステップと、
洗浄された複数の炭素繊維にプライマー溶液を適用して、プライマー処理された炭素繊維を作るステップと、
プライマー処理された炭素繊維に樹脂を適用して、樹脂炭素繊維を作るステップと、
支持部の所望の形状において溝を有するマンドレルを提供するステップと、
マンドレルの溝内に樹脂炭素繊維を位置付けるステップと、
サイジングにおいて保持された別の複数の炭素繊維を提供し、サイジングを除去し、プライマー溶液を適用し、樹脂を適用して、別の樹脂炭素繊維を作り、マンドレルの全ての所望の溝が樹脂含浸繊維で埋められるまでマンドレルの別の溝内に別の樹脂炭素繊維を位置付けることを繰り返すステップと、
マンドレル内の樹脂含浸繊維を硬化して、支持部を作るステップと、
マンドレルから支持部を除去するステップと、
支持部に膜を結合して、収集器を作るステップと
を含む、方法。 - 複数の炭素繊維を提供するステップが、サイジングにおいて保持される複数の炭素繊維を有する炭素繊維束を提供するステップを含み、複数の炭素繊維を提供するステップが、炭素繊維束を切断することによる、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 適切な長さが、複数の炭素繊維が位置付けされる溝の長さを超えておおよそ4インチである、請求項2に記載の方法。
- 溶媒を用いてサイジングを除去して、洗浄された複数の炭素繊維を作る前に、炭素繊維束を少なくとも一端において固定するステップをさらに含む、請求項2に記載の方法。
- サイジングが除去された後に、炭素繊維が乾燥することを可能とするステップをさらに含む、請求項4に記載の方法。
- 樹脂の適用前にプライマー溶液が乾燥することを可能にするステップをさらに含む、請求項5に記載の方法。
- 樹脂が弾性樹脂である、請求項6に記載の方法。
- アプリケータとしてテフロンのブロックを使用して樹脂が適用され、樹脂が複数の炭素繊維上にブラシで付けられる、請求項7に記載の方法。
- マンドレルの溝内の樹脂炭素繊維に圧力を印加して、樹脂炭素繊維を溝に一致させてマンドレルの溝の底部に接触させるステップをさらに含む、請求項8に記載の方法。
- 樹脂含浸繊維が位置付けされるマンドレルの溝の長さに樹脂炭素繊維を切断するステップをさらに含む、請求項9に記載の方法。
- マンドレルから過剰な樹脂を除去するステップをさらに含む、請求項10に記載の方法。
- 支持部が、52から65の間の繊維対樹脂体積分率を有する炭素繊維および弾性樹脂の複合材料を含む、請求項11に記載の方法。
- マンドレルが、トロイダル外側溝と、トロイダル外側溝に結合される少なくとも3つの支柱溝とを含む、請求項12に記載の方法。
- 支持部のトロイダル外側フレームに網メッシュを取り付けるステップをさらに含み、網メッシュが複数のノードを画定する、請求項13に記載の方法。
- 複数のノードに複数の引張り要素を取り付けるステップをさらに含み、引張り要素が張力をかけられ、展開された構成における網メッシュの展開された形状を画定する、請求項14に記載の方法。
- 支持部への膜の結合が、引張り要素に膜を取り付けることによるものである、請求項15に記載の方法。
- 収集器が複数の膜を含み、各反射器膜が隣接する引張り要素に結合される、請求項16に記載の方法。
- マンドレルがトロイドの形状の溝を含み、支柱がトロイドの面から延在し、全体的に互いに向かって収束する、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 膜が、その上に位置付けされるメタライゼーションを有して、複数の反射ストライプを画定する、請求項1に記載の方法。
