At a position where the fastener is to be attached, one or more protrusions protruding downward from the upper wall portion are formed integrally, and at least one of the protrusions has a rectangular mounting hole formed to penetrate in the interior and exterior directions of the vehicle for attaching the fastener, and at least one of the protrusions has a forward surface facing the front of the vehicle, a rearward surface facing the rear of the vehicle, and an upward surface facing the upper side of the vehicle, the fastener has a head and an engaging portion which protrudes downward from the head and is formed in a shape that is folded back towards the exterior side wall portion and engages with the door panel, and the head of the fastener has a front abutment surface which abuts against the forward surface of the protrusion to which the fastener is attached, a rear abutment surface which abuts against the rearward surface of the protrusion, and an upper abutment surface which abuts against the upward surface of the protrusion.

In this configuration, at least one end face of the molding body in the longitudinal direction is integrally formed with a covering portion that covers at least a portion of the end face and extends continuously from the vehicle-exterior side wall portion and upper wall portion of the molding body, eliminating the seam (boundary line) between the molding body and the covering portion of its end face, improving the appearance. In addition, at least one protruding portion has a forward surface facing the front of the vehicle, a rearward surface facing the rear of the vehicle, and an upward surface facing the upper side of the vehicle, and the head of the fixing device has a front abutment surface that abuts against the forward surface of the protruding portion to which the fixing device is attached, a rear abutment surface that abuts against the rearward surface of the protruding portion, and an upper abutment surface that abuts against the upward surface of the protruding portion, so that the forward/backward and downward movement of the fixing device attached to the protruding portion can be restricted.

As described in Example 3 below, the invention according to claim 2 provides a molding body molded by injection molding of a polymer material , in at least one end face in the longitudinal direction of which a covering portion is integrally formed so as to cover at least a part of the end face and extend continuously from the vehicle exterior side wall portion and the upper wall portion, and at least one of the protruding portions is formed with a rectangular mounting hole for mounting the fixing device so as to penetrate the vehicle interior/exterior direction, and the protruding portion is formed with an upward surface facing the vehicle upper side, and at least one of the covering portions and a portion adjacent thereto are formed with a rectangular mounting hole for mounting the fixing device, the rectangular mounting hole being formed ... One of the protrusions has a forward-facing surface facing the front of the vehicle, and the other has a rear-facing surface facing the rear of the vehicle , and the fixing device has a head and an engaging portion that protrudes downward from the head and is folded back toward the exterior side wall portion to engage with the door panel, and the head of the fixing device has a front abutment surface that abuts against the forward-facing surface of the protrusion or covering portion to which the fixing device is attached, a rear abutment surface that abuts against the rear-facing surface of the covering portion or protrusion, and an upper abutment surface that abuts against the upward-facing surface of the protrusion.

Even with this configuration, the covering portion is integrally formed on at least one end face in the longitudinal direction of the molding body so as to extend continuously from the vehicle-exterior side wall portion and the upper wall portion of the molding body, eliminating the seam (boundary line) between the molding body and the covering portion on that end face, improving the appearance. Note that the front contact surface, rear contact surface, and upper contact surface are supposed to contact the forward-facing surface, rear-facing surface, and upward-facing surface, respectively, but this also includes cases where they face each other with a small gap between them.

In addition, when multiple fasteners are attached to the molding body, as in claim 3, the fastener attached to the protruding portion located next to the covering portion on at least one end face of the molding body may be attached in the manner described in claim 2, and the other fasteners may be attached in the manner described in claim 1.

Also, as in claim 4, the top surface of the head of the fixing device may be in contact with the back surface of the upper wall of the molding body. In this way, the upward movement of the fixing device relative to the molding body can also be restricted.

Also, as in claim 5, the head of the fixing device may be formed with a locking portion that is locked to the side wall of the protruding portion. In this way, the forward or backward movement of the fixing device relative to the molding body can be firmly restricted.

Next, the structure of the belt molding 16 will be described with reference to FIGS.
The belt molding 16 includes a molding body 17 and one or more fasteners 30 attached to one or more locations of the molding body 17. The molding body 17 is formed into a long shape having an inverted U-shaped cross section extending in the vehicle longitudinal direction by injection molding or press molding of a polymer material. As shown in FIG. 2, the molding body 17 integrally includes an exterior side wall portion 18 that covers the flange 15 at the upper edge of the door panel 14 from the outside of the vehicle, an upper wall portion 19 that extends from the upper end of the exterior side wall portion 18 to the interior of the vehicle, and an interior side wall portion 20 that faces the exterior side wall portion 18. The cross-sectional shape of the molding body 17 changes along the vehicle longitudinal direction, and the rear end portion of the molding body 17 shown in FIG. 3 to FIG. 7 has a cross-sectional shape different from that shown in FIG. 2. Although no core metal is embedded in the molding body 17 of the first embodiment, a core metal may be embedded in the molding body 17. An exterior lip portion 21 that protrudes obliquely downward toward the door panel 14 is integrally formed at the lower end of the exterior side wall portion 18 .

On the other hand, a lip support plate 22 is attached to the interior side of the interior sidewall 20 by gluing or crimping, and two interior lip portions 23, 24 are integrally formed with this lip support plate 22 so that they protrude diagonally upward toward the interior of the vehicle, with a vertical positional relationship, and the gap between the molding main body 17 and the window plate 13 is sealed by the two interior lip portions 23, 24. These lip support plate 22 and the interior lip portions 23, 24 are integrally formed by extrusion molding, etc., and low friction layers 23a, 24a are formed on the surfaces of the interior lip portions 23, 24 (at least the surfaces that come into contact with the window plate 13) by flocking with nylon pile or the like.

The molding body 17 is made of a material that is harder and more rigid than the interior lip portions 23, 24, such as AES resin, ABS resin, or polypropylene resin.

On the other hand, the vehicle interior lip portions 23, 24 and the lip support plate portion 22 are made of a material that is softer and more elastic than the molding body 17, such as rubber or thermoplastic elastomer (TPE).

As shown in Figures 3 to 7, at least one end face in the longitudinal direction of the molding body 17, for example the rear end face, is integrally formed with a covering portion 25 that covers at least a portion of the end face (the entire end face in this embodiment 1) and extends continuously from the exterior side wall portion 18 and the upper wall portion 19. Note that the exterior lip portion 21 of the molding body 17 shown in Figure 3 is omitted.

As shown in Figs. 4 to 8, one or more overhanging parts 26 are integrally formed at the position of the molding body 17 where the fixing device 30 is attached, and extend downward from the vehicle inner end edge of the upper wall part 19. At least one overhanging part 26 (all overhanging parts 26 in this embodiment 1) has a rectangular mounting hole 27 that is long in the front-rear direction and penetrates in the vehicle interior-exterior direction. In this embodiment 1, the front side surface of the front wall part 26a located in front of the mounting hole 27 of the overhanging part 26 becomes the forward surface 26b facing the front side of the vehicle, the rear side surface of the front wall part 26a of the overhanging part 26 (the front inner wall surface of the mounting hole 27) becomes the rear surface 26c facing the rear side of the vehicle, and the upper surface of the lower wall part 26d located below the mounting hole 27 of the overhanging part 26 (the lower inner wall surface of the mounting hole 27) becomes the upward surface 26e facing the upper side of the vehicle.

8 , the fixing device 30 has a head 31 and an engaging portion 32 that protrudes downward from the head 31 and is folded back toward the vehicle exterior side wall portion 18 to engage with the door panel 14. The head 31 and engaging portion 32 of the fixing device 30 are integrally formed by injection molding of polyacetal (POM), polybutylene terephthalate (PBT), or the like.

The head 31 of the fixing device 30 has a protrusion 33 (see Figures 4, 6 to 8) formed integrally with it on the vehicle interior side, which fits into the mounting hole 27 of the overhang 26. The front side of the protrusion 33 on the vehicle interior side forms an inclined surface 33a that protrudes more toward the vehicle interior than the rear side, the front side of the protrusion 33 forms a rear abutment surface 33b that abuts against the rearward surface 26c of the overhang 26, and the lower surface of the protrusion 33 forms an upper abutment surface 33c that abuts against the upward surface 26e of the overhang 26.

Furthermore, an L-shaped hook-shaped locking portion 34 (see Figures 6 and 7) that locks onto the front wall portion 26a of the overhang portion 26 is integrally formed on the front portion of the head portion 31 of the fixing device 30 so as to protrude toward the inside of the vehicle. The rear side surface of this locking portion 34 forms a front abutment surface 34a that abuts against the forward surface 26b of the overhang portion 26. The front abutment surface 34a of this locking portion 34 faces the rear abutment surface 33b of the protrusion portion 33, and is formed so that the gap dimension between the front abutment surface 34a of the locking portion 34 and the rear abutment surface 33b of the protrusion portion 33 is slightly larger than the front-to-rear width of the front wall portion 26a of the overhang portion 26.

When attaching this fixing device 30 to the protrusion 26, the top surface 31a and the exterior side surface 31b of the head 31 of the fixing device 30 are placed against the upper wall portion 19 and the rear surface of the exterior side wall portion 18 of the molding main body 17 (see Figure 8), and the rear end portion of the inclined surface 33a of the protrusion portion 33 of the fixing device 30 is pressed against the front wall portion 26a of the protrusion 26 to elastically deform the protrusion 26 toward the interior of the vehicle, while the head 31 of the fixing device 30 is slid from the front to the rear relative to the molding main body 17, and the protrusion portion 33 is fitted into the mounting hole 27 of the protrusion 26. As a result, the overhang 26 returns to its original shape without elastic deformation, and the front wall 26a of the overhang 26 fits into the gap between the rear abutment surface 33b of the protruding portion 33 of the fixing device 30 and the front abutment surface 34a of the locking portion 34, so that the locking portion 34 is locked to the front wall 26a of the overhang 26. In this state, as shown in Figures 5 and 7, the front abutment surface 34a of the locking portion 34 of the fixing device 30 abuts on the forward surface 26b of the overhang 26 of the molding body 17, and the rear abutment surface 33b of the protruding portion 33 of the fixing device 30 abuts on the rear surface 26c of the overhang 26 of the molding body 17, restricting the forward and rearward movement of the fixing device 30 relative to the molding body 17.

Furthermore, as shown in FIG. 8, the upper abutment surface 33c of the protrusion 33 of the fixing device 30 abuts against the upward surface 26e of the overhang 26 of the molding body 17, and the top surface 31a of the head 31 of the fixing device 30 abuts against the back surface (lower surface) of the upper wall 19 of the molding body 17, thereby restricting the vertical movement of the fixing device 30 relative to the molding body 17.

In the present embodiment 1 described above, at least one end face in the longitudinal direction of the molding body 17 is integrally formed with a covering portion 25 that covers at least a portion of the end face and extends continuously from the exterior side wall portion 18 and the upper wall portion 19 of the molding body 17, eliminating the seam (boundary line) between the molding body 17 and the covering portion 25 on that end face, improving the appearance.

Next, a second embodiment of the present invention will be described as a reference example with reference to Figures 9 to 11. However, parts that are substantially the same as those in the first embodiment will be denoted by the same reference numerals and descriptions thereof will be omitted or simplified, and mainly different parts will be denoted by different reference numerals and described.

In this embodiment 2, one or more projections 50 are integrally formed at the position of the molding body 17 where the fixing device 40 is attached, projecting downward from the vehicle interior edge of the upper wall portion 19 of the molding body 17. At least one projection 50 (all projections 50 in this embodiment 2) is integrally formed with a protrusion 50a that projects to the vehicle exterior at the lower end portion of the projection 50, as shown in FIG. 11. The vehicle exterior side surface of this projection 50a is an inclined surface 50b that protrudes to the vehicle exterior from the lower side at the upper side, and the upper surface of the projection 50a is an upward surface 50c that faces the upper side of the vehicle. Also, as shown in FIG. 9, the front side surface of the projection 50 is a forward surface 50d that faces the front side of the vehicle, and the rear side surface of the projection 50 is a rearward surface 50e that faces the rear side of the vehicle.

On the other hand, the fixing device 40 has a head 41 and an engagement portion 42 that protrudes downward from the head 41 and engages with the door panel 14. The head 41 and engagement portion 42 of the fixing device 40 are integrally formed by injection molding of polyacetal (POM), polybutylene terephthalate (PBT), or the like.

The head 41 of the fixing device 40 has two locking portions 43, 44 that are engaged with the forward surface 50d and the rearward surface 50e of the overhanging portion 50, which are integrally formed on both front and rear end surfaces so as to protrude toward the vehicle interior. The rear side surface of the front locking portion 43 is a front abutment surface 43a that abuts against the forward surface 50d of the overhanging portion 50. On the other hand, the front side surface of the rear locking portion 44 is a rear abutment surface 44a that abuts against the rearward surface 50e of the overhanging portion 50. The gap dimension between the front abutment surface 43a of the front locking portion 43 and the rear abutment surface 44a of the rear locking portion 44 is formed to be slightly larger than the width of the overhanging portion 50 in the front-rear direction. As shown in FIG. 11, the lower surface of the portion of the head 41 that protrudes toward the vehicle interior is an upper abutment surface 41a that abuts against the upward surface 50c of the protruding portion 50a of the overhanging portion 50.

When attaching the fixing device 40 to the overhanging portion 50, the head 41 of the fixing device 40 is pressed from below against the inclined surface 50b of the protruding portion 50a of the overhanging portion 50 to elastically deform the overhanging portion 50 toward the inside of the vehicle, while the head 41 of the fixing device 40 is pressed from below to above the molding body 17, and the head 41 is fitted into the back side (outside of the vehicle) of the overhanging portion 50. As a result, as shown in Figure 11, the overhanging portion 50 returns to its original shape without elastic deformation, and the head 41 of the fixing device 40 is fitted between the back side (lower surface) of the upper wall portion 19 of the molding body 17 and the upward surface 50c of the protruding portion 50a of the overhanging portion 50 and is locked in place. In this state, the upper abutment surface 41a of the head 41 of the fixing device 40 abuts against the upward surface 50c of the protruding portion 50a of the protruding portion 50, and the top surface 41b of the head 41 of the fixing device 40 abuts against the back surface (lower surface) of the upper wall portion 19 of the molding body 17, restricting the vertical movement of the fixing device 50 relative to the molding body 17.

Furthermore, as shown in FIG. 10, the protruding portion 50 fits into the gap between the front abutment surface 43a and the rear abutment surface 44a of the locking portions 43, 44 on both the front and rear sides of the head 41 of the fixing device 40 and is locked in place. In this state, the front abutment surface 43a of the locking portion 43 on the front side of the head 41 abuts against the forward surface 50d of the protruding portion 50, and the rear abutment surface 44a of the locking portion 44 on the rear side of the head 41 abuts against the rear surface 50e of the protruding portion 50, restricting the movement of the fixing device 40 in the front-to-rear direction relative to the molding body 17.

In the second embodiment described above, the same effects as those in the first embodiment can be obtained.

Next, a third embodiment of the present invention will be described with reference to Figures 12 to 16. However, parts that are substantially the same as those in the first embodiment will be given the same reference numerals and descriptions thereof will be omitted or simplified, and mainly different parts will be given different reference numerals and described.

In the first and second embodiments, the forward and backward movement of the fasteners 30 and 40 is restricted only by the projections 26 and 50, but in the third embodiment, the forward and backward movement of the fastener 70 attached to the projection 60 is restricted by the covering 25.

In this third embodiment, a protrusion 60 for attaching a fixing device 70 is formed integrally at a position of the molding body 17 adjacent to the covering portion 25, protruding downward from the upper wall portion 19 of the molding body 17 and continuing from the vehicle interior edge portion of the covering portion 25. When covering portions 25 are provided on both the front and rear sides of the molding body 17, the protrusion 60 may be formed continuous with the covering portions 25 on both the front and rear sides, or the protrusion 60 may be formed continuous with only one of the covering portions 25 in the front-rear direction. In the following explanation, a configuration in which the protrusion 60 is formed continuous with the rear covering portion 25 will be explained.

The protruding portion 60 is formed with a rectangular mounting hole 61 that is long in the front-rear direction and penetrates in the vehicle interior-exterior direction, and the rear inner wall surface of the mounting hole 61 is flush with the front side surface of the rear covering portion 25. The rear side surface of the front wall portion 60a of the protruding portion 60 (the front inner wall surface of the mounting hole 61) forms a rearward facing surface 60b facing the rear side of the vehicle, and the front side surface of the covering portion 25 (the rear inner wall surface of the mounting hole 61) forms a forward facing surface 60c facing the front side of the vehicle. In the vehicle exterior portion of the protruding portion 60, a first groove portion 62 and a second groove portion 63 extend parallel to the front-rear direction, and the rear ends of both groove portions 62, 63 are formed to abut against the front side surface (forward facing surface 60c) of the covering portion 25. The vertical width dimension of the second groove portion 63 is the same as the vertical width dimension of the mounting hole 61, and a part of the portion of the protrusion 60 corresponding to the second groove portion 63 penetrates through it, and the upper and lower surfaces of the second groove portion 63 are connected to the inner wall surface of the mounting hole 61. As shown in FIG. 15, the lower surface of the first groove portion 62 of the protrusion 60 is an upward surface 62a that faces the upper side of the vehicle. The outer side surfaces 62b, 63b of the inner wall portions of both groove portions 62, 63 of the protrusion 60 are formed so that the lower side is an inclined surface that protrudes more toward the outside of the vehicle than the upper side.

16, the fixing device 70 has a head 71 and an engaging portion 72 that protrudes downward from the head 71 and is folded back toward the exterior side wall portion 18 to engage with the door panel 14. The head 71 and the engaging portion 72 of the fixing device 70 are integrally formed by injection molding of polyacetal (POM), polybutylene terephthalate (PBT), or the like.

The first protrusion 73 and the second protrusion 74 are integrally formed on the vehicle interior side of the head 71 of the fixing device 70 so as to extend parallel to each other in the front-to-rear direction. The first protrusion 73 and the second protrusion 74 are slid from the front to the rear of the vehicle and fitted into the first groove 62 and the second groove 63 of the overhang 60. The rear side of the head 71 forms a front abutment surface 71a that abuts against the forward surface 60c of the covering part 25. The lower side of the first protrusion 73 forms an upper abutment surface 73a that abuts against the upward surface 62a of the first groove 62 of the overhang 60. The second protrusion 74 is formed to a size that allows it to be fitted into the mounting hole 61 of the overhang 60.

Furthermore, in this embodiment 3, in order to facilitate fitting the second protrusion 74 of the fixing device 70 into the mounting hole 61 of the overhanging portion 60, the vertical width dimension of the second protrusion 74 of the fixing device 70 is made smaller than the vertical width dimension of the second groove 63 of the overhanging portion 60, so that a vertical gap is formed between the second groove 63 of the overhanging portion 60 and the second protrusion 74 of the fixing device 70. The front-rear width dimension of the second protrusion 74 is formed to be slightly smaller than the front-rear width dimension of the mounting hole 61 of the overhanging portion 60. The front side surface of the second protrusion 74 forms a rear abutment surface 74a that abuts against the rearward surface 60b of the front wall portion 60a of the overhanging portion 60.

As shown in FIG. 14, the top (inner side) of the second protrusion 74 is formed so that the front side forms an inclined surface 74b that protrudes further inward than the rear side, with the front portion of the second protrusion 74 protruding further inward than the front portion of the first protrusion 73, and the rear portion of the second protrusion 74 receding further outward than the rear portion of the first protrusion 73. This makes it easier for the inclined surface 74b of the second protrusion 74 to come into contact with the rear side 63c of the second groove 63 than for the top of the first protrusion 73 to come into contact with the rear side 62c of the first groove 62 when attaching the fixing device 70 to the molding body 17.

When attaching the fixing device 70 to the overhanging portion 60, the rear end portions of the first protrusion portion 73 and the second protrusion portion 74 of the head portion 71 of the fixing device 70 are aligned with the front end portions of the first groove portion 62 and the second groove portion 63 of the overhanging portion 60, and the rear end portion of the inclined surface 74b of the second protrusion portion 74 is pressed against the rear side surface 63c (bottom surface) of the second groove portion 63 of the front wall portion 60a of the overhanging portion 60 to elastically deform the overhanging portion 60 toward the inside of the vehicle, while sliding the head portion 71 of the fixing device 70 from the front side to the rear side relative to the molding main body 17, and fitting the second protrusion portion 74 of the head portion 71 into the mounting hole 61 of the overhanging portion 60. As a result, the overhanging portion 60 returns to its original state without elastic deformation, and the second protrusion portion 74 of the head portion 71 is engaged with the mounting hole 61 of the overhanging portion 60. In this state, the rear abutment surface 74a of the second protrusion 74 of the head 71 of the fixing device 70 abuts against the rearward surface 60b of the front wall 60a of the protruding portion 60, and the rear side surface (front abutment surface 71a) of the head 71 of the fixing device 70 abuts against the forward surface 60c of the covering portion 25, restricting the forward and backward movement of the fixing device 70 relative to the molding body 17.

Furthermore, as shown in FIG. 16, the upper abutment surface 73a of the first protrusion 73 of the head 71 of the fixing device 70 abuts against the lower surface (upward surface 62a) of the first recessed portion 62 of the protrusion 60, and the top surface 71b of the head 71 of the fixing device 70 abuts against the back surface (lower surface) of the upper wall portion 19 of the molding main body 17, thereby restricting the vertical movement of the fixing device 70 relative to the molding main body 17.

In this embodiment 3, the rear end of the overhang 60 is fixed by the covering portion 25, so the overhang 60 is less likely to elastically deform toward the inside of the vehicle compared to the overhangs 26 and 50 in the first and second embodiments. Therefore, depending on the size of the second protrusion 74 of the fixing device 70, it may be difficult to fit the second protrusion 74 into the mounting hole 61 of the overhang 60.

In consideration of this point, in this embodiment 3, the vertical width dimension of the second protrusion 74 of the fixing device 70 is made smaller than the vertical width dimension of the second groove 63 of the overhang 60, so that a vertical gap is formed between the second groove 63 of the overhang 60 (mounting hole 61) and the second protrusion 74 of the fixing device 70. As a result, when the fixing device 70 is slid from the front to the rear relative to the molding main body 17, the upper and lower surfaces of the second groove 63 of the overhang 60 are less likely to come into contact with the second protrusion 74 of the fixing device 70 in the vertical direction, making it easier to fit the second protrusion 74 of the fixing device 70 into the mounting hole 61 of the overhang 60.

In the present embodiment 3 described above, the same effects as those in the above-mentioned embodiments 1 and 2 can be obtained.

[Other Examples]
When a plurality of fasteners are attached to the molding main body 17, the overhanging portion 26 or 50 of the above-mentioned Example 1 or 2 and the overhanging portion 60 of the above-mentioned Example 3 may be formed on the molding main body 17, and the fasteners 30 or 40 of the above-mentioned Example 1 or 2 and the fasteners 70 of the above-mentioned Example 3 may be attached. For example, when it is desired to place fasteners at the end of the molding main body 17, the above-mentioned Example 3 is suitable, but when it is desired to place fasteners away from the end of the molding main body 17, the above-mentioned Example 1 or 2 is suitable.

The present invention is not limited to the above-mentioned first to third embodiments, and can be modified in various ways without departing from the spirit of the invention, for example, by applying it to the front door of a vehicle, or by changing the cross-sectional shape of the molding body 17 or the shape of the fasteners 30, 40, and 70.
