Description

The present invention relates to protective fences that are primarily installed on riverbeds, and more specifically, to protective fences that are primarily installed on the boundary between low-water areas (areas where water constantly flows, i.e., the so-called river) and high-water areas (sidewalks next to rivers, parks, and other public or private facilities, etc.) that are adjacent to the low-water areas and are normally higher than the water level of the river but may be flooded when the river floods.

Protective fences have traditionally been installed in a variety of locations, such as between roadways and sidewalks, on the boundaries between roads and the premises of factories, commercial facilities, and other facilities, and on sidewalks and bridges along rivers. As disclosed in Prior Art Document 1, for example, such protective fences consist of multiple posts erected at appropriate intervals on the ground and a panel attached to span between the multiple posts. In the example of Prior Art Document 1, the panel consists of two horizontal bars (upper and lower horizontal bars) that span approximately horizontally between the posts, and multiple vertical bars that are installed horizontally at a specified interval between the upper and lower horizontal bars.

This type of protective fence is also sometimes installed on the boundary between a low-water area (an area where water is constantly flowing, i.e. the so-called river) and a high-water area (a sidewalk beside a river, a park, or other public or private facility, etc.) that is adjacent to the low-water area and is normally higher than the river's water level but becomes flooded when the river floods. The installation of such a protective fence prevents people and vehicles from falling from the high-water area into the low-water area (the river).

Japanese Patent Application Laid-Open No. 10-25721

However, in recent years, there have been many abnormal weather events, including torrential rains, and flooding of high-water areas due to rising river levels has occurred. In such cases, if a protective fence is installed between the low-water area and the high-water area, soil, driftwood, rubble, and other floating objects washed up from upstream collide with the protective fence, damaging or destroying it, or driftwood and rubble getting caught in the protective fence often obstructs the flow of the river. When a protective fence is damaged or destroyed, it must be repaired or replaced, resulting in a great deal of cost and effort. Alternatively, if the protective fence was removable, the heavy fence would have to be removed in advance and moved to another location when rising river levels were predicted.

The present invention is intended to overcome the above problems, and aims to provide a protective fence that will not be damaged or collapsed even if soil, driftwood, rubble, and other floating objects are washed down from upstream when the river floods. It also aims to provide a protective fence that does not need to be removed in advance and moved to another location when a flood in the river is expected.

In order to achieve the above object, the present invention is configured as follows: That is, the protective fence according to the present invention comprises a plurality of posts erected on the ground at appropriate intervals and a panel material attached across the plurality of posts, the posts each having a base member installed on the ground and a post body attached to the base member, the post body being bendable relative to the base member at the connection point with the base member and being movable between an erect position extending substantially vertically upward from the base member and an inclined position inclined substantially horizontally ,
The base member has an insertion hole having an elongated hole portion and an arc hole portion extending in communication with the elongated hole portion, and a bolt attached to the support body is inserted into the insertion hole,
The bolt disposed in the long hole portion prevents the support body from tilting in the upright position.
The bolt that has moved within the long hole portion is placed in the arc hole portion, making the support body tiltable .

The protective fence according to the present invention comprises a base member on which the posts are installed on the ground and a support body attached to the base member, and the support body is bendable relative to the base member at the connection point with the base member, and is a collapsible fence that can be freely moved between an upright position extending substantially vertically upward from the base member and a tilted position tilted substantially horizontally. Therefore, when the river is flooded, if the support body is bent relative to the base member and placed in the tilted position, the risk of the protective fence being damaged or collapsed by soil, driftwood, rubble, and other floating objects flowing from upstream is reduced. There is also a reduced risk of driftwood, rubble, etc. getting caught on the protective fence and obstructing the flow of the river.

In the protective fence of the present invention, the panel material may consist of two horizontal bars, one above and one below, stretched approximately horizontally between two posts, and a number of vertical bars stretched vertically between the two horizontal bars at a predetermined interval .

Therefore, when the river floods, if the support body is bent relative to the base member and placed in the tilted position, the risk of the protective fence being damaged or collapsed by soil, driftwood, rubble, and other floating objects flowing from upstream is reduced. In addition, when flooding of the river is expected, the support body of the protective fence can be simply bent and placed in the tilted position, so there is no need to remove the heavy protective fence in advance and move it to another location.

Next, the best mode for carrying out the present invention will be specifically described with reference to the drawings.

Figures 1 to 3 show one embodiment of a protective fence according to the present invention, with Figure 1 being a front view of multiple protective fences 1 of this embodiment installed side by side, Figure 2 being a front view showing only one of the protective fences 1, and Figure 3 being a right side view of the protective fence 1 shown in Figure 2.

As shown in Fig. 1 and Fig. 2, the protective fence 1 in this embodiment is composed of two posts 4 erected on the ground with a predetermined distance between them, and a panel material 5 installed between the two posts 4. The posts 4 are equipped with a base member 2 fixed to the ground with anchor bolts AB, and a post body 3 attached to the base member 2 and extending vertically upward. The panel material 5 is composed of two horizontal bars 51 and 52, one above the other, that are inserted horizontally between the two posts 4, and a plurality of vertical bars 53 that are inserted vertically between the two horizontal bars 51 and 52 at a predetermined interval. In this embodiment, the posts 4 and the panel material 5 are both made of painted steel, and in particular, the post body 3, the horizontal bars 51 and 52, and the vertical bars 53 are made of painted hollow steel pipes. However, the present invention is not limited to this, and stainless steel, aluminum, other metals, artificial wood, and other materials can be appropriately selected and used.

As shown in Figures 1 to 3, the base member 2 of the support pillar 4 comprises a base plate 21 that is placed on the ground surface and fixed to the ground surface by anchor bolts AB, a pair of left and right side plates 22, 22 that are formed integrally with the base plate 21 and rise vertically upward, sandwiching the support pillar body 3 from the left and right, and a front plate 28 that spans the front between the pair of side plates 22, 22. The left and right side plates 22 each have a first insertion hole 24 and a second insertion hole 23 formed symmetrically on the left and right.

In the erected position shown in Figures 2 and 3 in which the support body 3 is set up substantially vertically, the base member 2 and the support body 3 are fastened together and fixed in the erected position by bolts B and nuts N which pass through the first insertion holes 24 and the second insertion holes 23 formed in the left and right side plates 22, respectively, and through two bolt holes (not shown) formed in the support body 3.

Next, we will explain the mechanism and method for displacing the pillar body 3 from the upright position shown in Figure 3 to a tilted position. To displace it to the tilted position, first loosen the bolt B and nut N and pull the pillar body 3 upward (arrow X) as shown in Figure 4, and then tilt the pillar body 3 forward (to the left in Figure 4) of the protective fence 1 (arrow Y). This will be shown and explained in detail in Figure 5 and subsequent figures. For ease of explanation, only the cross section B of the bolt B and nut N is shown in Figures 4 to 8 (the same applies to Figures 11 to 16).

5, the side plate 22 of the base member 2 is formed with a first insertion hole 24 formed at a position toward the front of the side plate 22 (a position toward the left in FIG. 5) and slightly above the side plate 22, which is an elongated hole extending linearly in the vertical direction, and a second insertion hole 23 formed directly below the first insertion hole 24 and having an elongated hole portion 231 similarly extending linearly in the vertical direction and an arc hole portion 232 communicating with the upper end of the elongated hole portion 231 and extending upward and rearward in a quarter-circular arc shape. When the protective fence 1 is installed in peacetime, i.e., when the support body 3 is upright, a bolt B is inserted through the first insertion hole 24 formed in the left and right side plates 22 and through a bolt hole (one of the upper of two bolt holes; not shown) formed on the left and right side surfaces of the support body 3, and the side plate 22 and the support body 3 are fastened and fixed at the lower end position of the first insertion hole 24 by the bolt B and a nut N. Similarly, a bolt B is inserted through the second insertion hole 23 formed in the left and right side plates 22 and through a bolt hole (one of the two lower bolt holes, not shown) formed on the left and right side surfaces of the support body 3, and the side plate 22 and the support body 3 are fastened and fixed together by the bolt B and nut N at the lower end position of the long hole portion 231 of the second insertion hole 24.

To displace the support body 3 from this erected position to the tilted position, first loosen the bolt B and nut N, and then pull the support body 3 upward as shown by the arrow X in FIG. 5. As a result, the support body 3 is lifted upward as shown in FIG. 6, and the bolts B and B are pulled up to the upper end of the first insertion hole 24 and the upper end of the long hole portion 231 of the second insertion hole 23, respectively. From this state, the support body 3 is further tilted toward the front side of the protective fence 1, that is, toward the left side in FIG. 6 (arrow Y). At this time, the position of the bolt B inserted into the first insertion hole 24 does not change, and only the bolt B inserted into the second insertion hole 23 is displaced in the direction of the arrow Y2 in FIG. 6 along with the rotation of the support body 3. In this way, the support body 3 is tilted by bending its lower end relative to the base member 2, resulting in the state shown in FIG. 7. As shown in Figure 7, at this time, the bolt B inserted into the second insertion hole 23 is at the upper end position of the arc hole portion 232, and the support body 3 is in a position where it is placed on the upper edge of the front plate 28, so that the tilt (rotation) of the support body 3 stops at this position. All that remains is to tighten the bolt B and nut N again at this position.

Next, an embodiment in which a stopper member 7 is further provided on the support 4 of the protective fence 1 described above is shown. Figures 8 to 12 show an embodiment further equipped with a stopper member 7. As shown in Figure 10, the stopper member 7 is a member in which both sides of a rectangular metal plate are bent to form a roughly U-shape in plan view, and is made up of a central main body portion 71 and left and right bent pieces 72. The main body portion has two communication holes 75 formed at the top and bottom, each of which is made up of a first vertical hole portion 751, a horizontal hole portion 752, and a second vertical hole portion 753 that communicate with each other.

As shown in Figures 8-9, the stopper member 7 is fixed by inserting a bolt B into the communication hole 75 and tightening a nut N together with the base member 2 and the support body 3. At this time, the bolt B is inserted into the upper end position of the first vertical hole portion 751 of the communication hole 75. In this way, when the support body 3 is pulled upward (arrow X in Figure 11), the upper edge of the stopper member 7 hits the protruding piece 27 that protrudes horizontally from the upper edge of the side plate 22. Then, even if the support body 3 is tilted, the upper edge of the stopper member 7 hits the protruding piece 27, so it cannot be tilted (rotated) in the Y direction in Figure 11. Therefore, even if the fastening by the bolt B and nut N becomes slightly loose when the protective fence 1 is installed in normal times, there is no risk of the support body 3 falling over (tilting) on its own.

Therefore, when flooding is predicted and it is necessary to tilt the support pillar body 3, after loosening the bolt B and nut N, the stopper member 7 is first moved to move the insertion position of the bolt B from the first vertical hole 751 to the second vertical hole 753 via the horizontal hole 752 (moving the stopper member 7 in the direction of the arrows P → Q → R in Figure 11 moves the insertion position of the bolt B as shown by the arrow S in Figure 11). After that, the support pillar body 3 is pulled upward (arrow X) and further tilted forward of the protective fence 1 (arrow Y). This allows it to be displaced to the tilted position shown in Figure 12.

Figures 13 to 16 show another embodiment of the protective fence 1 according to the present invention. Here, only the differences from the first embodiment described above will be explained.

As shown in FIG. 13, in this embodiment, the first insertion hole 24 is formed at a position toward the front of the side plate 22 (to the left in FIG. 13) and slightly above, and has a horizontal hole 242 that communicates with the upper end of a long hole portion 241 that extends linearly in the vertical direction, and extends approximately horizontally and rearward (to the right in FIG. 13). The second insertion hole 23 is formed at the upper end of a long hole portion 231 formed directly below the long hole portion 241 of the first insertion hole 24, and has a horizontal hole 233 that communicates with the upper end of a circular hole portion 232 that extends upward and rearward in a quarter-circular arc shape, and further extends approximately horizontally and rearward (to the right in FIG. 13).

As in the first embodiment described with reference to FIG. 5, when the protective fence 1 is installed in peacetime, i.e., when the support body 3 is erected, a bolt B is inserted through the first insertion hole 24 formed in the left and right side plates 22 and the bolt hole (one of the upper of the two bolt holes; not shown) formed on the left and right side surfaces of the support body 3, and the side plate 22 and the support body 3 are fastened and fixed at the lower end position of the first insertion hole 24 (the lower end position of the long hole portion 241) by the bolt B and nut N. Similarly, a bolt B is inserted through the second insertion hole 23 formed in the left and right side plates 22 and the bolt hole (one of the lower of the two bolt holes; not shown) formed on the left and right side surfaces of the support body 3, and the side plate 22 and the support body 3 are fastened and fixed at the lower end position of the long hole portion 231 of the second insertion hole 24 by the bolt B and nut N.

To displace the support body 3 from this erected position to the tilted position, first loosen the bolt B and nut N, and then pull the support body 3 upward as shown by the arrow X in FIG. 13. As a result, the support body 3 is lifted upward as shown in FIG. 14, and the bolts B and B are pulled up to the upper end of the long hole portion 241 of the first insertion hole 24 and the upper end of the long hole portion 231 of the second insertion hole 23, respectively. From this state, the support body 3 is further tilted toward the front side of the protective fence 1, that is, toward the left side in FIG. 14 (arrow Y). At this time, the position of the bolt B inserted into the first insertion hole 24 does not change, and only the bolt B inserted into the second insertion hole 23 is displaced in the direction of the arrow Y2 in FIG. 14 along with the rotation of the support body 3. In this way, the support body 3 is tilted by bending its lower end relative to the base member 2, resulting in the state shown in FIG. 15. As shown in FIG. 15, at this time, the bolt B inserted into the second insertion hole 23 is at the upper end position of the arc hole portion 232, and the support body 3 is in a position where it is placed on the upper edge of the front plate 28, so that the tilt (rotation) of the support body 3 stops at this position.

Furthermore, in this embodiment, the support pillar body 3 is slid to the rear of the protective fence 1, to the right in Figure 15 (arrow Z). Figure 16 shows the slid state. As shown in this figure, the insertion positions of bolt B are the innermost part of the horizontal hole 242 of the first insertion hole 24 (in FIG. 16) and the innermost part of the horizontal hole 233 of the second insertion hole 23 (the right end position in FIG. 16). After that, the bolt B and nut N can be tightened again at this position. According to this embodiment, for example, after the support body 3 is in the tilted position, if the river rises and overflows and the protective fence 1 is flooded, buoyancy will act on the support body 3 and panel material 5 made of hollow steel pipes, and a force will act to return the support body 3 to the upright position. However, by providing horizontal holes 242, 233 in the first insertion hole 24 and second insertion hole 23 of the side plate 22, respectively, and by setting the fastening position of bolt B and nut N to the innermost part of the horizontal holes 242, 233 in the tilted position, the support body 3 will not easily move from the tilted position to the upright position.

The above describes the protective fence according to the present invention based on an embodiment, but the present invention is not limited to the above-mentioned embodiment. Various modifications that a person skilled in the art can make without departing from the gist of the present invention are also included within the scope of the present invention.

According to the present invention, the support pole comprises a base member on which the pole is installed on the ground and a pole body attached to the base member, and the pole body is bendable relative to the base member at the connection point with the base member, and can be moved between an erect position extending substantially vertically upward from the base member and a tilted position tilted substantially horizontally. Therefore, when the river floods, the pole body can be bent relative to the base member to the tilted position, reducing the risk of the guardrail being damaged or collapsed by soil, driftwood, rubble, and other floating objects flowing from upstream. In addition, when flooding of the river is expected, the guardrail pole body can be bent to the tilted position, making it possible to provide a guardrail that does not require the guardrail to be removed in advance and moved to another location.
