Abstract

Description

The present invention relates to a pet care aid that is wrapped around a pet's neck when caring for the pet.

Conventionally, when caring for pets such as dogs and cats, such as washing, grooming, clipping nails, or administering medical care, the pet's head is surrounded by a trumpet-shaped collar.

For example, Patent Document 1 proposes a mesh collar for pets that is an animal collar with a donut-shaped disk equipped with a locking means, and has a suitably shaped grip protruding from the outer periphery of the main body made of a mesh material so that it can be attached and detached.

When pets are cared for, if the tools held by the person providing the pet care (such as a shower head, scissors, nail clippers, etc.) come into view, the pet may become restless and bring its face close to the tools or lick its body, making it difficult to provide smooth pet care. In such cases, even if the pet net collar of Patent Document 1 is attached to the pet, the tools come into view through the main body made of a mesh material, making the pet restless and preventing smooth pet care.

The present invention aims to provide a pet care aid that prevents a pet from becoming restless during pet care and allows for smooth pet care.

According to the invention of (1), a pet care aid that is wrapped around a pet's neck and surrounds the pet's face during pet care includes a main body and a fixing part.

Here, if the main body of the pet care aid that is wrapped around the pet's neck and surrounds the pet's face is made of an elastically deformable material, and the thickness of the main body is thin (for example, about 1 mm), it needs to be made of a relatively hard material in order to maintain the shape that surrounds the pet's face. If the main body is made of such a relatively hard material, there is a risk that the edge of the main body may injure the pet or the pet caregiver if it comes into contact with the pet's legs or the hands of the pet caregiver.

According to the invention of (2), by making the thickness of the main body 3 mm or more, it is possible to form the main body from a softer material compared to a case where the thickness of the main body is thin (for example, about 1 mm). This reduces the possibility of injury to the pet or the pet caregiver when the edge of the main body comes into contact with the pet's legs or the hands of the pet caregiver.

In addition, relatively soft materials that are elastically deformable often have higher water absorption than relatively hard materials. For this reason, if the elastic member of the main body is made of a relatively soft material, for example, when washing a pet, this elastic member may absorb water and become heavy, placing a burden on the pet or making it impossible for the pet care aid to maintain its proper position.

According to the invention of (2), the elastic member is covered with a waterproof or water-repellent sheet, which prevents the elastic member from absorbing water and makes the main body heavy, which puts a burden on the pet and prevents the pet care aid from being unable to maintain the correct position.

According to the invention of (3), the elastic member and the sheet can be sewn together with edge seams extending along the outer edge, inner edge, and pair of side edges, and auxiliary seams extending along the outer edge and/or inner edge inside the edge seams. Therefore, the elastic member and the sheet can be sewn together at the edge and inside of the main body, so that deformation of only the elastic member inside the sheet can be prevented over the entire surface from the end portion to the center portion of the main body.

The present invention provides a pet care aid that prevents a pet from becoming restless during pet care and allows for smooth pet care.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENTS Hereinafter, an embodiment of the present invention will be described with reference to the drawings. In the following description, the same components are denoted by the same reference numerals, and the description thereof will be omitted or simplified.
FIG. 1 is a diagram illustrating a state in which a pet care aid according to an embodiment of the present invention is used.
The pet care aid 1 is wrapped around the neck of a pet (e.g., a dog, a cat, etc.) P during pet care (e.g., washing, trimming, clipping nails, providing medical treatment, etc.) to surround the face of the pet P and block the view to the back of the pet P.

The pet care aid 1 comprises a main body 10 and a fixing part 20 .

The main body 10 can be any shape as long as it can be wrapped around the pet's neck, surround the pet's face, and block the view to the pet's back, but it is preferable for it to be formed into a C-shape or U-shape with part of the doughnut shape missing when viewed from above.

Specifically, the main body 10 is an elastically deformable plate-like body made of an opaque material, and has an inner edge 101 formed in an arc shape that is wrapped around the neck of the pet P (see Figure 1), an outer edge 102 also formed in an arc shape that faces the inner edge 101 and is positioned on the nose side of the pet P, and a pair of side edges 103 that are connected to both ends of the inner edge 101 and the outer edge 102, respectively.

The main body 10 is made of an elastically deformable elastic member 11 with a thickness of 3 mm or more, covered with a sheet 12.

FIG. 5 is a plan view of an elastic member of a pet care aid according to an embodiment of the present invention.
The elastic member 11 has an inner edge 111 formed in an arc shape, an outer edge 112 opposed to the inner edge 111 and also formed in an arc shape, and a pair of side edges 113 respectively connected to both ends of the inner edge 111 and the outer edge 112. The shapes of the inner edge 101, the outer edge 102 and the pair of side edges 103 of the main body 10 are shapes that are expressed by the shapes of the inner edge 111, the outer edge 112 and the pair of side edges 113 of the elastic member 11 through the sheet 12 (see FIG. 4 ).

The elastic member 11 is formed, for example, from a polyethylene foam plate having a thickness of 3 mm to 15 mm (preferably 5 mm), but is not limited to this and any material that is elastically deformable can be used.

Returning to FIG. 4, the sheet 12 is preferably made of, for example, a water-repellent nylon fabric (water-repellent nylon) having a thickness of 30 to 100 denier, but it may also be made of a waterproof laminate fabric made by laminating polyvinyl chloride onto the surface of a fabric such as cotton, vinyl, rubber, etc.

The main body 10 is formed by sealing the elastic member 11 inside the sheet 12 formed into a bag shape. The elastic member 11 and the sheet 12 are sewn together with thread members 13.

As shown in FIGS. 2 and 3, the thread member 13 appears as stitches 130 on the front and bottom surfaces of the main body 10.
The seam 130 includes a edge seam 131 and a secondary seam 132 .

The edge seam 131 extends along the inner edge 101, the outer edge 102, and a pair of side edges 103 of the main body 10. That is, the edge seam 131 extends around the entire edge near the edge of the main body 10.

The auxiliary stitch 132 extends along the outer edge 102 and/or inner edge 101 on the inside of the edge stitch 131. There may be one auxiliary stitch 132 or multiple auxiliary stitches 132 (two in the example shown in Figures 2 and 3). Also, when multiple auxiliary stitches 132 are provided, some may be formed along the outer edge 102 and the other may be formed along the inner edge 101.

The fixing parts 20 are provided near one side edge 103 (left side in the example shown in FIG. 2) on one side of the main body 10 (front side shown in FIG. 2) and near the other side edge (right side in the example shown in FIG. 3) on the other side of the main body 10 (rear side shown in FIG. 3), and can connect both ends of the main body 10 to each other.

The fastening portion 20 is formed, for example, from a hook-and-loop fastener with a hook on one side and a loop on the other, but is not limited to this and can be of any configuration, such as a snap button with a recess on one side and a protrusion on the other.

There may be one or more fixing parts 20, but it is preferable to arrange them so that they can connect the vicinity of the inner edge 101 and the vicinity of the outer edge 102 at both ends of the main body 10.

Next, a method of using the pet care aid 1 will be described.
When caring for a pet, the user places the outer edge 102 of the main body 10 on the nose side of the pet P, wraps the inner edge 101 of the main body 10 around the neck of the pet P, and connects both ends of the main body 10 (near both side edges 103) to each other with the fixing parts 20. This results in the state shown in Fig. 1, where the face of the pet P is surrounded by the pet care aid 1.

As described above, according to the pet care aid 1 of this embodiment, the main body 10 surrounding the face of the pet P is made of an opaque material, so that it is possible to block the view to the back side of the pet P. Therefore, even if tools for pet care (e.g., a shower head, scissors, nail clippers, etc.) are brought close to the back side of the pet P during pet care, the pet P cannot see them, so it is possible to prevent the pet P from becoming restless.
Therefore, it is possible to provide a pet care aid 1 that prevents the pet from becoming restless during pet care and enables smooth pet care.

In addition, with the pet care aid 1, the thickness of the main body 10 is set to 3 mm or more, so that the main body 10 can be made of a softer material than when the main body 10 is thin (for example, about 1 mm). This reduces the possibility of the edge of the main body 10 injuring the pet P or the pet caregiver when it comes into contact with the legs of the pet P or the hands of the pet caregiver.

In addition, according to the pet care aid 1, the elastic member 11 is covered with a waterproof or water-repellent sheet 12, which prevents the elastic member 11 from absorbing water and makes the main body 10 heavy, which can cause a burden on the pet P or prevent the pet care aid 1 from being unable to maintain the correct position.

Furthermore, according to the pet care aid 1, by sewing the elastic member 11 and the sheet 12 with the thread member 13, it is possible to prevent only the elastic member 11 from deforming inside the sheet 12, which would cause the main body 10 to lose its shape.
According to the pet care aid 1, the elastic member 11 and the sheet 12 can be sewn together by edge seams 131 extending along the outer edge 102, the inner edge 101, and the pair of side edges 103, and by auxiliary seams 132 extending along the outer edge 102 and/or the inner edge 101 inside the edge seams 131. Therefore, since the elastic member 11 and the sheet 12 can be sewn together at the edge and inside of the main body 10, it is possible to prevent only the elastic member 11 from being deformed inside the sheet 12 over the entire surface of the main body 10 from the end portion to the center portion.

The present invention is not limited to the above-described embodiment, and any modifications or improvements that can achieve the object of the present invention are included in the present invention.
