Description
a)25~85重量%、好ましくは35~75重量%のC8~C24脂肪酸石鹸であって、
(i)バー組成物全体の重量で8%または15%以上、さらに好ましくは16~32%のC10石鹸、および
(ii)不飽和C18石鹸を含み、C10(カプレート)石鹸に対する前述の不飽和C18石鹸の比が1.2~0.1である、C8~C24脂肪酸石鹸と、
b)組成物の重量で1~45%の有機および無機補助材料と、
c)組成物の重量で5~30%、好ましくは13~28%の水と、
を含む石鹸バー組成物に関する。

バー組成物に使用される補助材料の総レベルは、石鹸バー組成物の重量で50%以下、好ましくは1~50%、さらに好ましくは1~45%、さらになお好ましくは3~45%の量であるべきである。
別の有機補助剤は、ポリオール、またはポリオールの混合物であり得る。ポリオールとは、高度に水溶性であり、好ましくは水に自由に溶解できる、複数のヒドロキシル基(少なくとも2つ、好ましくは少なくとも3つ)を有する化合物を示すために本明細書で使用される用語である。

ここで強調される特定のクラスの任意の成分は、皮膚および毛髪の健康および状態を促進するために含まれる皮膚有益剤である。潜在的な有益剤には、限定するものではないが、脂質、例えば、コレステロール、セラミドおよびプソイドセラミド;抗微生物剤、例えば、トリクロサン;日焼け止め剤、例えば、シンナメート;他の種類のスクラブ剤粒子、例えば、ポリエチレンビーズ、クルミ殻、アンズ種子、花弁および種子、およびシリカおよび軽石などの無機物;追加の軟化剤(皮膚軟化剤)、例えば、長鎖アルコール、およびラノリンのようなワックス;追加の保湿剤;皮膚調色剤;皮膚栄養素、例えば、ビタミンC、DおよびEのようなビタミン類、およびベルガモット、ウンシュウミカン、ショウブなどの精油;アボカド、ブドウ、ブドウ種子、ミルラ、キュウリ、クレソン、カレンデュラ、エルダーフラワー、ゼラニウム、リンデンの花、アマランサス、海藻、イチョウ、チョウセンニンジン、ニンジンの水溶性または水不溶性抽出物;ホウセンカ(impatiens balsamina)、カムカム、アルピナの葉および他の植物抽出物、例えば、アメリカマンサク(witch-hazel)、ならびにそれらの混合物が含まれる。
石鹸バーは、0.5重量%~5重量%の電解質を含む。好ましい電解質には、アルカリ金属またはアルカリ土類金属の塩化物、サルフェートおよびホスフェートが含まれる。理論に束縛されることを望むものではないが、電解質は、固化した石鹸塊を構造化し、また共通イオン効果によって溶融塊の粘度を増加させるのに役立つと考えられている。電解質を含まない比較用の石鹸バーの方が柔らかいことが見出された。塩化ナトリウムおよび硫酸ナトリウムが最も好ましい電解質であり、さらに好ましくは0.6~3.6重量%、最も好ましくは1.0~3.6重量%である。
石鹸バーは、アクリレートまたはセルロースエーテルから選択されるポリマーを0.1~5重量%含み得る。好ましいアクリレートには、架橋アクリレート、ポリアクリル酸またはポリアクリル酸ナトリウムが含まれる。好ましいセルロースエーテルには、カルボキシメチルセルロースまたはヒドロキシアルキルセルロースが含まれる。ポリマーの総量が5重量%を超えない限り、これらのポリマーの組合せも使用され得る。
好ましいバーは、0.1~5%のアクリレートを含む。さらに好ましいバーは、0.15~3%のアクリレートを含む。アクリレートポリマーの例には、参照により本明細書に組み込まれる米国特許第2,798,053号に記載されているような、ポリアリルスクロースによって架橋されたアクリル酸のポリマーおよびコポリマーが挙げられる。他の例には、ポリアクリレート、アクリレートコポリマーまたはアルカリ膨潤性エマルジョンアクリレートコポリマー(例えば、Rohm and Haas製のACULYN(登録商標)33;Lubrizol Inc.製のCARBOPOL(登録商標)Aqua SF-1)、疎水変性アルカリ膨潤性コポリマー(例えば、Rohm and Haas製のACULYN(登録商標)22、ACULYN(登録商標)28およびACULYN(登録商標)38)が挙げられる。市販のアクリル酸の架橋ホモポリマーには、Lubrizol Inc.から入手可能なCARBOPOL(登録商標)934、940、941、956、980および996カルボマーが含まれる。他の市販の架橋アクリル酸コポリマーには、Lubrizol Inc.から入手可能なCARBOPOL(登録商標)Ultrezグレードシリーズ(Ultrez(登録商標)10、20および21)およびETDシリーズ(ETD 2020および2050)が含まれる。
好ましいバーは、0.1~5%のセルロースエーテルを含む。さらに好ましいバーは、0.1~3%のセルロースエーテルを含む。好ましいセルロースエーテルは、アルキルセルロース、ヒドロキシアルキルセルロースおよびカルボキシアルキルセルロースから選択される。さらに好ましいバーは、ヒドロキシアルキルセルロースまたはカルボキシアルキルセルロースを含み、特に好ましいバーは、カルボキシアルキルセルロースを含む。
好ましいワックスには、パラフィンワックスおよびマイクロクリスタリンワックスが含まれる。ポリアルキレングリコールが使用される場合、好ましいバーは、0.01~5重量%、さらに好ましくは0.03~3重量%、最も好ましくは0.5~1重量%のポリアルキレングリコールを含み得る。好適な例には、ポリエチレングリコールおよびポリプロピレングリコールが挙げられる。好ましい市販品には、The Dow Chemical Companyによって販売されているPOLYOX(登録商標)がある。

インビトロ抗微生物プロトコル
石鹸スラリーの調製
微細なチーズおろし器を用いて、評価する固形石鹸バーを小さなチップにすりおろす。石鹸バーチップを水と10重量%で混合し、磁気撹拌プレート上で25℃で一晩撹拌した。混合を通してボルテックスを維持するように、撹拌バーの寸法を選択することが重要である。インビトロタイムキルアッセイのために新たに均一なゲル状石鹸スラリーを調製し、使用した。
American Type Culture Collectionから、凍結乾燥培養物として大腸菌(Escherichia coli)ATCC 10536を得た。各実験の前に、トリプトソイ寒天(TSA)画線プレート上で37.0℃で24時間かけて、新鮮な試験培養物を2回増殖させた。次いで、効力試験の直前に、トリプトン塩化ナトリウムを用いて大腸菌懸濁液を調製した。
参照により本明細書に組み込まれる「Chemical Disinfectants and Antiseptics-Quantitative Suspension Test for the Evaluation of Basic Bactericidal Activity of Chemical Disinfectants and Antiseptics-Test Method and Requirements(Phase 1)」と題された欧州規格EN 1040:2005に従って、タイムキルアッセイを25℃で行った。この手順に従って、25℃で(上記のように調製した)石鹸溶液を用いて、1.5×108~5×108コロニー形成単位/ml(cfu/ml)での増殖期細菌培養物を処理した。試験試料の形成では、上記のように調製した8重量部の石鹸溶液と、1重量部の培養物および1重量部の水とを合わせた。10、20および30秒の曝露後、試料を中和して石鹸溶液の抗細菌活性を停止させた。次いで、試験溶液を段階希釈し、固体培地に播種し、24時間インキュベートし、生存細胞を計数した。殺菌活性は、0秒での細菌濃度に対するcfu/mlの対数減少として定義されている。石鹸溶液に曝露していない培養物は無処理対照として機能する。

基材洗浄アッセイ
基材から細菌を除去するバー製剤の効果を決定するために、人工皮膚試料(ヒト皮膚の表面化学を模倣するように設計された合成基材である、IMS Corp.のVITRO-SKIN(商標))に対してインビトロ性能試験を行う。基材を調製するために、85%の水、15%のグリセリンのリザーバを備えた水和チャンバ内でVITRO-SKINの小片を一晩水和させた。約24時間後、VITRO-SKINの小片をチャンバから取り出し、周囲の温度および湿度で約1時間放置し、次いで、直径5cmの円形部分をXRFカップの対向する片の間に取り付けた。
以下の実施例は、本発明の範囲内の実施形態をさらに説明および実証する。実施例は、例示のみを目的として与えられており、本発明の趣旨および範囲から逸脱することなく多くのその変形例が可能であるため、限定として解釈されるべきではない。

Claims (5)
- a)25~85重量%のC8~C24脂肪酸石鹸であって、
(i)バー組成物全体の重量で7%または15%以上のC10石鹸、および
(ii)不飽和C18石鹸を含み、C10(カプレート)石鹸に対する前記不飽和C18石鹸の重量比が0.8~0.1である、C8~C24脂肪酸石鹸と、
b)前記組成物の重量で1~45%の有機および無機補助材料と、
c)前記組成物の重量で5~30%の水と、
を含む石鹸バー組成物であって、不飽和C18石鹸に対するC10石鹸の過剰が少なくとも6%であり、
前記不飽和C18石鹸がそのヒドロキシ誘導体を含む、石鹸バー組成物。 - 不飽和C18脂肪酸石鹸が、1、2もしくは3個の不飽和基を有する不飽和C18脂肪酸石鹸、またはその混合物である、請求項1に記載の組成物。
- 30秒の接触時間で、1.2以上の、大腸菌ATCC 10536のlog10減少をもたらす、請求項1または2に記載の組成物。
- 前記有機および無機補助材料が、充填剤、ポリオール、塩およびそれらの混合物からなる群から選択される、請求項1から3のいずれか一項に記載の組成物。
- C10石鹸に対する不飽和C18石鹸の比がより高いバーに対して抗細菌活性を増強するための、請求項1から4のいずれか一項に記載の組成物の使用であって、前記活性が、「Chemical Disinfectants and Antiseptics-Quantitative Suspension Test for the Evaluation of Basic Bactericidal Activity of Chemical Disinfectants and Antiseptics-Test Method and Requirements(Phase 1)」(「化学消毒剤および防腐剤-化学消毒剤および防腐剤の基本的な殺菌活性を評価するための定量懸濁液試験-試験方法および要件(フェーズ1)」)と題された欧州規格EN 1040:2005に従って25℃でタイムキルアッセイを行うことによって決定される使用。
