Description

The present invention relates to a safety device, and more particularly to a safety device for an elevating work device that is not easily damaged by contact with an obstacle and whose function can be restored by replacing parts.

Elevating and lowering work using electrically operated aerial work platforms and self-propelled aerial work vehicles in order to carry out work at heights such as construction sites such as buildings, inspecting the tops of tunnels, and repairing bridge piers. The device is in use.
The height of the handrail on the work deck of the lifting work device is approximately 1 m, and the upper half of the worker's body is exposed above the handrail, so when the work deck is raised, the worker's head may collide with an obstacle, or the worker's upper body may be damaged. Accidents have occurred in which workers were caught between obstacles and work decks (Non-Patent Document 1).

The conventional safety device has a structure in which a shock caused by contact with an obstacle is absorbed by elastic deformation of a coil spring.
A coil spring deforms greatly when contacted from the side or diagonally above, but the amount of deformation due to compression in the axial direction is extremely small. Therefore, when the safety device is compressed in the axial direction, there is a risk that the shaft portion may bend or the pressing force may be directly transmitted to the alarm device, causing damage to the alarm device.
Furthermore, if the safety device is damaged, it is necessary to discard the entire safety device and replace it with a new one, which increases restoration costs.

An object of the present invention is to provide a safety device for solving the problems of the prior art as described above.

The safety device of the present invention includes a rod portion having a proximal end rod, a distal end rod that is telescopically connected to the proximal end rod in the longitudinal direction and is biased toward the distal side, The system includes an externally inserted cylindrical buffer section, an alarm section externally attached to the proximal rod, and a joint section connected to the proximal rod that can be fixed to the upper part of the work deck. , has an alarm device that issues an alarm upon contact with the proximal end of the buffer portion, and is characterized in that the buffer portion is made of a member that can be compressed and deformed in the direction in which the rod portion is shortened.

In the safety device of the present invention, the tip rod may include a contact end provided at the tip of the tip rod, and the proximal end of the contact end may come into contact with the tip of the buffer portion when the tip rod is shortened.

In the safety device of the present invention, the alarm section may include an alarm holder capable of housing the alarm device, and the alarm holder may be slidably attached to the proximal rod.

In the safety device of the present invention, the joint portion may include a clamp that clamps and fixes the handrail of the work deck, and a connecting end that is detachably connected to the proximal rod.

In the safety device of the present invention, a warning display may be attached to the outer peripheral surface of the buffer portion to call attention to the worker.

The safety device of the present invention absorbs the axial pressing force caused by contact with an obstacle by shortening the rod part and compressing deformation of the buffer part, thereby reducing the impact on the rod part and the alarm device and preventing damage. be able to.
In addition, since the buffer section and the joint section are assembled, it is easy to replace the parts, and even if a part is damaged, the function can be restored by replacing the part.
Furthermore, the position from which the alarm will sound can be easily adjusted on site by changing the length of the rod or shifting the installation height of the alarm depending on the height of the handrail and the height of the worker. .

<3> Buffer section (Figure 2)
The buffer section 20 is a cylindrical member that has both a buffer function and a transmission function to the alarm section 30 upon contact with the obstacle B.
The buffer portion 20 is fitted over at least a portion of the tip rod 11 . That is, in the state where the rod portion 10 is extended, the buffer portion 20 may cover a portion of the tip rod 11 or may cover the entire length of the tip rod 11.
The buffer section 20 is made of a member that can be compressed and deformed in the direction in which the rod section 10 is shortened. Specifically, for example, a cylindrical body made of polyurethane can be used.
In this example, a warning display 20a is displayed on the outer peripheral surface of the buffer section 20. <4> Alarm part (Figure 3)
The alarm unit 30 is a device that issues an alarm upon contact with the obstacle B.
The alarm section 30 includes at least an alarm device 31. In this example, an alarm folder 32 capable of accommodating the alarm device 31 is further provided, and the alarm device 31 is configured to be freely replaceable in the alarm folder 32.
The alarm device 31 is a device that issues an alarm upon contact with the lower end of the buffer section 20 . Here, "alarming" includes the generation of a warning siren, the lighting of a warning light, or a combination thereof. Alternatively, the alarm device 31 may be communicably connected to the lifting mechanism of the lifting work device A, and the raising and lowering of the work deck A1 may be forcibly stopped when an alarm is issued.
In this example, as the alarm device 31, an alarm buzzer including a battery-powered device body 31a and an alarm button 31b protruding from the outer periphery of the device body 31a is employed.
In this example, the alarm folder 32 employs a combination of a holding part 32a that corresponds to the external shape of the device main body 31a, and an outer fitting part 32b that is slidably attached to the proximal end rod 12.
When setting the alarm device 31, the alarm button 31b is housed in the holding part 32a in a direction facing the base end of the buffer part 20.

<5>Joint part (Figure 4)
The joint portion 40 is a member for connecting with the work deck A1.
The upper portion of the joint portion 40 is connected to the proximal rod 12 .
In this example, the joint portion 40 includes a clamp 41 that clamps and fixes the handrail of the work deck A1, and a connecting end 42 that is detachably connected to the base end rod 12.
As the clamp 41, for example, a bracket clamp including a bracket that fits into the handrail of the work deck A1 and two bearing screws that press the handrail against the inner surface of the bracket can be adopted.
However, the structure of the joint part 40 is not limited to this, and may be, for example, a structure in which the lower end is inserted and fixed into a cylindrical folder attached to the work deck A1, or a structure in which it is fixed in a stand set on the floorboard of the work deck A1. Good too. In short, any structure is sufficient as long as the safety device 1 can be fixed upward to the work deck A1.

<6> How to use the safety device The safety device 1 of the present invention is used, for example, as follows.

<6.1> Fixing the safety device Fix the safety device 1 to the handrail of the work deck A1 (Figure 5A).
Specifically, with the tip of the rod part 10 facing upward, the handrail of the work deck A1 is fitted into the clamp 41 of the joint part 40, and the bearing pressure screw is screwed in to fix it to the handrail.
The position and number of safety devices 1 fixed to the work deck A1 can be arbitrarily selected depending on the size of the work deck A1, the distance to the obstacle B, and the like.
Further, by selecting rod portions 10 having different lengths depending on the height of the handrail of the work deck A1 and the height of the worker, the length of the safety device 1 can be arbitrarily set.

<6.2> Raising the work deck When the work deck A1 rises (Fig. 5B) and the contact end 13 of the safety device 1 contacts the obstacle B (Fig. 5C), the tip rod 11 is pushed down and the rod At the same time as the portion 10 is shortened, the proximal end of the contact end 13 presses the tip of the buffer portion 20, so that the buffer portion 20 slides downward along the tip rod 11.
Note that if the rod portion 10 is not provided with the contact end 13, the tip of the buffer portion 20 directly contacts the obstacle B and is pushed down, sliding downward along the tip rod 11.

<6.3> Triggering of the alarm device When the work deck A1 continues to rise, the buffer section 20 slides downward, and the base end of the buffer section 20 presses the alarm button 31b of the alarm device 31, the alarm device 31 (Figure 5D).
This allows the worker to recognize the danger and stop operating the lifting mechanism to stop the lift or crouch down, thereby preventing accidents such as colliding with obstacle B or being caught between work deck A1 and obstacle B. It can be prevented.

<6.4> Buffer function of safety device If the work deck A1 continues to rise even after the alarm device 31 is activated, the buffer portion 20 is pressed against the contact end 13 and compressively deforms in the axial direction (FIG. 5E).
Further, in this example, the alarm device 31 pressed by the buffer section 20 slides downward on the proximal rod 12 together with the alarm folder 32, thereby reducing the pressing force on the alarm device 31 due to pushing of the buffer section 20. Therefore, damage to the alarm device 31 can be prevented.
