図3に示すように、各柱7では、柱本体部7aが桁3a、3bの桁本体部9と横樋部11とを支持しているので、強度が出しやすく、垂木5を固定している横樋部11では垂木5の荷重を横樋部11から柱本体部7aに逃がし易い。
前側柱カバー7b及び後側柱カバー7cの中空部を、竪樋部19としているので、竪樋部19が目立たない。

図6に示すように、前側柱カバー7bと後側柱カバー7cの外面29aは、それぞれ柱本体部7aの外周側部55の外面55aと面一にしているので、この点についても外観が良い。

左右の桁3a、3bは、横樋部11、垂木載置部25及び垂木取付部13を押出しで一体成型しているので、構成が簡易且つ外観が良い。
妻破風51は左右の桁3a、3bの端面と妻垂木5E(5)に取り付けてこれらを隠しているので外観が良い。
