The present invention relates to, for example, a drive recorder, a display device for a drive recorder, a program, and the like.
For example, Patent Document 1 discloses a drive recorder that is attached adjacent to a rearview mirror fixed to the upper part of a windshield in a vehicle interior of a vehicle such as an automobile. In this drive recorder, an in-vehicle monitoring camera is provided in the third case body, and a front monitoring camera is provided in the first case body.
In Patent Document 1, as a description of the drive recorder, for example, in paragraph [0002], it states that "the driver's vehicle and the surrounding situation are imaged from the driver's field of view, and the imaged image data is stored in a temporary storage memory." For example, in paragraph [0006], it is stated that ``Rather than recording only a predetermined period of time before and after the occurrence of a vehicle accident, for example, there are devices that constantly capture images of the surrounding situation and record the captured image data. It is stated that there is.
The drive recorder disclosed in Patent Document 1 has a relatively narrow angle of view, as shown in FIG. 8 of Patent Document 1, which shows the vehicle in front as an example of the image taken by the forward monitoring camera. , a certain area in front of the vehicle is photographed. Paragraph [0077] of Patent Document 1 indicates that the in-vehicle monitoring camera is configured with a lens having a narrower angle of view than the front monitoring camera. As described above, conventional drive recorders have a narrow photographic range, and the video recording range is not sufficient.
Further, the object of the present invention is not limited thereto, but is to obtain effects obtained from the configuration portions disclosed in this specification, drawings, etc. For example, the present specification discloses a problem in which the phrase ``can be done'' is replaced with ``this is a problem.'' It is also an object of the present invention to solve this problem. The applicant of this application intends to claim a part of the structure described in this specification in an amendment or divisional application.
(1) The camera is equipped with a photographing means for photographing a wider range than the area of a hemispherical sphere, and a mounting means for attaching to the vehicle so that a part of the range photographed by the photographing means is in front of the vehicle. It is good because it allows you to photograph a wider area than the area of a half-celestial sphere, so you can photograph a wider area than before. The attachment means has a function of attaching the drive recorder to the vehicle and fixing the photographing direction of the photographing means. Since a wider area than the hemispherical area including the area in front of the vehicle is photographed, for example, when an accident occurs, the area to be photographed is wider, and in addition to the collision in front of the vehicle, it is also possible to photograph collisions in other directions. , which is good because it reduces blind spots. A range wider than the area of the hemispherical sphere is preferably a continuous space. This drive recorder records a wider area than the hemispherical area including the front area, so for example, if it is attached to a predetermined position inside the vehicle interior using the mounting means, it will capture images of the outside and inside of the vehicle from inside the vehicle. It is a device that outputs or records.
(2) The photographing means is equipped with a plurality of cameras, one of the plurality of cameras is a camera that photographs a range of a half-celestial sphere or more, and another camera is a camera that photographs a range narrower than a half-celestial sphere. Therefore, it is preferable that the two imaging areas have different areas. The photographing areas may partially overlap, but by allowing different parts to be photographed, an area that cannot be covered by the photographing range of a camera that photographs a half-celestial sphere or more can be photographed by another camera. As long as the imaging regions have different regions, the imaging regions may include an overlapping portion, or the imaging regions may not overlap, but it is more preferable that the imaging regions include an overlapping portion. Cameras that photograph a half-celestial sphere or larger range have lower resolution toward the periphery, so for example, a camera that photographs a region narrower than a half-celestial sphere may It is good to overlap the shooting areas because it allows you to take clear photos based on the camera shooting a narrower area than the hemispherical area. In the embodiment, this drive recorder corresponds to a drive recorder including a third camera and a fourth camera. A camera that photographs a range of a half-celestial sphere or more corresponds to a third camera, and a camera that photographs a range narrower than a half-celestial sphere corresponds to a fourth camera.
Furthermore, for example, when the camera is attached to a predetermined position on the vehicle using the mounting means, one camera that photographs a half-celestial sphere or more can photograph the downward direction, and another camera can photograph the front of the vehicle. In this case, it is preferable to use one camera to monitor the entire 360-degree horizontal area of the vehicle, and use another camera to function as a normal drive recorder. For example, if one camera photographs a hemispherical range with a viewing angle of 180 degrees all around, the surrounding area can be efficiently and clearly photographed. If the angle is 180 degrees or more, useless scenery such as the ceiling of the vehicle will be photographed, and the captured image will be correspondingly smaller and the resolution will drop, but if the angle is set to 180 degrees, this problem will disappear. On the other hand, if you set the angle to 180 degrees, you will not be able to photograph objects diagonally above, such as traffic lights in front of you, but this is good because you can use another camera to photograph the front.
(3) The photographing means may include one camera that, when attached to the vehicle by the mounting means, photographs a wider range than the lower hemisphere, including the lower hemisphere. In this way, images can be taken in all directions, front, back, left, and right of the vehicle, so that, for example, objects approaching the vehicle from various directions around the vehicle can be photographed. In order to photograph a wider range than the half-celestial sphere, for example, the space of the photographing means diagonally above also becomes the photographing area. Therefore, for example, when photographing the front of the vehicle, it is good because the vehicle ahead and the traffic light can also be clearly photographed.
By using the function that photographs all directions (front, rear, left, and right), for example, even if a vehicle collides from the side or rear while driving, there is a higher possibility of photographing the situation. There are fewer blind spots compared to recorders. Further, for example, when operating while the vehicle is parked, security monitoring can be effectively performed.
It is preferable to set the range wider than the 180-degree hemispherical sphere, for example, from 220 degrees to 260 degrees, because this allows you to photograph traffic lights and also confirm the color of the photographed traffic lights. A range of 230 degrees to 240 degrees is more preferable because it allows you to photograph the traffic light so that you can confirm the color of the traffic light more reliably, and also allows you to photograph the vehicle in front of the vehicle and other scenery without reducing the resolution.
(4) The photographing means includes two cameras that photograph a half-celestial sphere or more, and the two cameras photograph in opposite directions, and when mounted inside the vehicle by the mounting means. It is preferable that the dashboard and pillars of the vehicle are shown on the periphery of the images taken by the two cameras.
In this way, a single drive recorder can capture 720 degrees (horizontal 360 degrees + vertical 360 degrees) of spherical video. Conventional drive recorders can only record within a predetermined area in front of the vehicle, resulting in blind spots on the sides and rear, and in the unlikely event that the situation is not recorded in the video, but Taking pictures is good because it eliminates blind spots. The two cameras correspond to a
When the drive recorder is installed inside the vehicle, one of the two cameras mainly takes pictures of the area in front of the drive recorder, and the other camera mainly takes pictures of the area behind the drive recorder. Since the dashboard and pillars are shown on the periphery of the images captured by the two cameras, the drive recorder can be mounted in front of the driver using the mounting means. One camera takes pictures of the front in the direction of travel, and the other camera takes pictures of the rear and interior of the vehicle, so the central part of the image taken by each camera shows the front scenery and the driver inside the car. If the edges of each image shot by two cameras are connected to create a 360-degree continuous image of the front, back, left, right, top, and bottom, the driver's It can be placed to the side, so there is no need to worry about the transition being in the front view or in the center of the image of the interior of the vehicle, making it difficult to see. The central area photographed by each camera has a higher resolution than the peripheral area, and is good because it allows you to photograph the vehicle in front, the scenery in the center of the front, the driver and passengers inside the vehicle, etc. in this high-resolution area. . The view of the front, which functions as a driving recorder, can be captured using only one camera.
In addition, in the above example, the dashboard and pillars are reflected at the joint, but for example, by fixing the joint at a specific position, it is difficult to see the part at that specific position, and the other parts are reflected. It would be good to make it easier.
Alternatively, for example, the housing in which the photographing means is mounted and the main body case in which the processing circuits for performing various processes, various sensors, etc. are mounted are constructed as separate members, and both are connected by an angle adjustment mechanism, and the angle adjustment mechanism is It is preferable to configure it so that it rotates around the horizontal axis and allows swinging in the front and rear directions, but does not rotate around the vertical axis and does not swing sideways.
(5) The photographing means includes two cameras for photographing a half-celestial sphere or more, and the two cameras photograph in opposite directions, and the two cameras each photograph a half-celestial sphere or more. This is for connecting the peripheral edges of images to form one image, and it is preferable to include means for making the connecting portion of the peripheral areas photographed by the two cameras inconspicuous.
If you stitch two images together to create one spherical image, cut out and display a part of the entire image, and move the cut out area, the cut out area may include the connected part. Since the connecting part is provided with a means to make it inconspicuous, the connecting part becomes inconspicuous and the images can be connected to the entire celestial sphere without any discomfort.
The means for making it inconspicuous is, for example, a brightness adjustment means during photographing, and the brightness adjustment means is preferably such that, for example, two cameras take photographs with the same brightness. To achieve the same brightness, for example, it is preferable to make the exposure conditions controlled by the exposure control function the same. Normally, when two cameras are each equipped with an exposure control function, each camera measures light and takes pictures under appropriate exposure conditions according to the metered results. In this case, for example, if one camera mainly takes pictures of the outside of the vehicle, the subject is bright, and if the other camera mainly takes pictures of the inside of the car, the subject is dark, so the best option is based on the respective photometry results. If you set different exposure conditions, you will be shooting with different brightness. When shooting in this way, the difference in brightness at the joint becomes noticeable and creates a sense of discomfort. If the two cameras are controlled to take pictures with the same brightness using the brightness adjustment means, there will be no discomfort at the seam.
When the edges of images shot with the same brightness by two cameras are connected to create and display a single image, the connected portion is not noticeable. When the brightness of the two cameras is adjusted separately, the brightness is normally controlled so that, for example, the bright outside scenery and the relatively dark inside of the car are each clearly captured.
For example, when the video is rotated and the brightness differs in the part where the image changes from a camera photographing the front to a camera photographing the rear, the transition will stand out and look strange. It's a good idea to take a picture of the dark interior of a car when it's hard to see, because you can reproduce the situation as you see it.
If you want to make the entire area have the same brightness, for example, it is preferable to do so based on the photometry results of one camera that takes pictures of the front, as this allows you to clearly capture the scenery in front of you, but it is also preferable to do so based on the photometry results of one camera that takes pictures of the rear. It is more preferable to do so because it can prevent the interior of the vehicle from becoming completely dark and difficult to see. In addition, it is best to perform metering for each camera based on center-weighted metering, since the image you want to see is in the center of the image.Furthermore, since the bottom part of the image is the dashboard, floor, seats, etc. , it is best to perform focused metering on the central area, especially the upper area. Furthermore, it is better to perform split metering for the entire two images, including the seam, because you can capture the entire image without it being too dark or overexposed. It is also a good idea to extract a moving part, perform spot photometry on that part, and adjust the brightness based on the photometry results. For example, the pillars and dashboard do not move, but the scenery outside and the people inside the car do. By metering the area where there is movement, you can easily take pictures of what you want to see.
Further, the brightness adjustment means may be the same for the entire area, or may be adjusted individually for the central portion so that the brightness for the peripheral portions is the same. In that case, since the individually adjusted brightness of the central portion may differ from the brightness of the peripheral portion, it is preferable to perform correction such as gradation in the intermediate portion between the central portion and the periphery. It is more preferable to photograph the entire screen at the same brightness because it is easy to control the photographing means/camera side, and it is also easy to perform processing to connect two photographed images.
(6) The photographing means is equipped with two cameras that photograph a half-celestial sphere or more, and the two cameras are arranged so that the areas photographed by the two cameras overlap at the periphery, and It is preferable that the overlapping area is configured to photograph a predetermined position in the vehicle interior when the camera is attached to the vehicle by a means.
Objects present in the overlapping area are photographed by each of the two cameras. When joining images from two cameras, the same object may be split into two parts and displayed in different positions, but if the overlapping area is near a predetermined position inside the vehicle Even if it is hidden in a certain position and is not photographed in the first place, or even if it is photographed and displayed at a different position, the predetermined position in the vehicle interior becomes conspicuous, and the fact that it is displayed divided into two parts becomes inconspicuous, eliminating the sense of discomfort.
(7) The predetermined position may be at least one of a pillar and a dashboard of the vehicle. The pillar/dashboard is relatively close to the camera installed inside the vehicle, about 1 to 3 meters, compared to objects outside the vehicle, and there is little deviation when the images from the two cameras are connected. It doesn't stand out even when it's on. Further, since dashboards are often dark in color and have the same color throughout, it is good that even if the dashboard is misaligned, it will not be noticeable. Also, the dashboard and pillars are not something you pay attention to, so it doesn't matter if they are misaligned. Furthermore, although people and other objects outside the vehicle are located behind the pillars, they are partially or completely hidden by the pillars, which is good because their displacement is not noticeable.
(8) The two cameras photograph a range larger than a half-celestial sphere, the two cameras are mounted in one housing, the housing has a spherical outer shape, and the two cameras It is preferable that each lens is exposed on the diametrically opposite surface of the sphere.
The casing in which the camera is mounted is spherical, which is good because it makes it easy to imagine that it is a camera that takes pictures of all celestial spheres. Since the lens is placed so that it is exposed and protrudes from the surface of the sphere, it is good because it makes it difficult for the housing to be reflected in the camera, even if the camera is shooting an area larger than a half-celestial sphere. Making it spherical is good because it looks smaller and gives off the feel of a spherical drive recorder.
(9) A housing including a main body case in which a control unit is mounted and in which the two cameras are mounted is disposed below the main body case in a state where it is attached by the mounting means, and the main body case is attached to the camera. It is better to have a shape that makes it difficult to be reflected. The main body case is less likely to be reflected in the images taken by the camera, making it easier to see the scenery outside the car and the inside of the car. To create a shape that is difficult to capture, it is best to use a shape that minimizes the area that exists within the camera's shooting range. For example, take a certain corner of the main body case and make it a tapered surface, or make the main body case as small as possible. Since the blind spot is conical, it is a good idea to make the main body case close to the conical shape.
(10) It is preferable that the device includes a main body case in which a control unit and a recording means are mounted, and a case in which the two cameras are mounted is arranged separately from the main body case, and a switch is provided in the case. The recording means collects surrounding sounds, for example, in the event of an accident, it collects and records the sounds of a collision, sounds associated with brake operation, and the voices of the driver and passengers. belongs to. This is useful, for example, for analyzing an accident after it occurs. When a switch is operated, the operation sound reverberates inside the housing, and recording it as it is and playing it back later can be annoying, which can be troublesome for accident analysis, etc. However, the recording means is separate from the housing. Since it is mounted on the case, even the echoed operation sound will not be transmitted to the main body case, which is good because the operation sound will not be recorded. In the embodiment, the recording means corresponds to, for example, a microphone. The switch may, for example, be one that gives an instruction to record information based on an image taken by a camera in response to the operation of the switch.
(11) A case including a main body case in which a control unit and a recording means are mounted, and mounted in the vehicle interior with the mounting means, a case in which the two cameras are mounted is located below the main body case, It is best to provide a switch on the bottom side of the housing. The housing is placed under the main case, and the switch is placed on the bottom side of the housing. The switch is close to the driver and easy to press. Furthermore, if the housing is made into a sphere as in (8) above, the switch can be pressed while holding the sphere from above and below, which is good because it is easy to press and it is difficult to apply force to the main body case side.
(12) The casing is rotatably attached to the lower surface side of the main body case when it is attached to the vehicle interior by the attachment means, and the coupling mechanism is attached to the front and rear of the vehicle in the attached state. It is better to allow rotation in the direction and prevent swinging in the left and right directions.
(13) It is preferable to use a display device for a drive recorder that has a function of displaying videos taken by two cameras in a connected state on one screen. For example, by widening the viewing angle and displaying in the opposite direction, the inside of the car for the driver and passengers will be displayed in the center, while the outside scenery on the left and right will be displayed flowing around the periphery, and a virtual image will be displayed on the outside of the vehicle. It is good because there is a viewpoint, and the display gives the impression of seeing the vehicle from a distance, making it seem like the vehicle has become transparent, and it is interesting because it allows you to see novel scenery that cannot be seen by humans.
(14) It is preferable to use a display device for a drive recorder that has a function of displaying videos taken by two cameras in a connected state, changing the viewpoint, and displaying a reference screen with a one-touch operation.
This is great because you can quickly return to the standard screen when viewing from a different perspective, no matter what direction you are in. For example, if you cut out a part of the spherical screen and then move the cutout position or change the size, you may not know which direction you are facing. However, it is good because you can understand the situation by returning to the standard screen. Further, even if you know the direction in which you are currently viewing, if you want to return to the original reference screen, you can return it all at once, which is preferable. The reference screen includes, for example, the front, the driver (not directly behind, but diagonally behind), and in the embodiment, specific screens such as the front, rear, left and right, and even bookmarks registered during playback.
(15) It is preferable that the drive recorder display device has a masking function that makes predetermined portions of images shot by two cameras more difficult to see than other normal display portions. In this way, for example, by making at least the part of the driver's face difficult to see, it is possible to meet requests such as the driver not wanting to be photographed or feeling embarrassed. Examples of making it difficult to see include making it difficult to see clearly, covering it with a masking member to make it completely invisible, applying mosaic processing, or displaying it thinly. The area to be masked can be specified automatically or manually. For automatic settings, for example, it is preferable to recognize a specific location such as the driver's seat, a registered person (yourself, a family member, etc.), and set a part that includes that person's face.
(16) It is preferable to use a display device for a drive recorder that includes a main display section and a sub display section, and has a function of displaying different images on each display section. This is preferable because different images can be viewed at the same time. For example, it is preferable to display the scenery in front of the vehicle on the main display section and the situation inside the vehicle on the sub-display section, since this allows the driver to relate and understand the situation when viewing the scenery. In addition, when the vehicle is parked or parked, a circular or panoramic image of a horizontal 360 degree area is displayed on the main display section, and when the approach of a person is detected, an enlarged image of that person is displayed on the main display section, The entire image is continuously displayed on the sub display section. In the event of a collision, the main display shows the image from the direction of the impact, and the outside scenery in a different direction or the situation of the driver and passengers inside the vehicle can be displayed on the sub-display to help analyze the accident. It's good because you can do it accurately. It would be good to have a function to switch between the main display and the main display depending on the driving situation/circumstances. Doing so allows the necessary video to be played back depending on the driving situation, for example.
(17) It is preferable to use a display device for a drive recorder that has a function of displaying a specific direction so as to face a predetermined position on the screen. For example, since a specific direction is displayed so as to face a predetermined position within the screen, the user can recognize and understand the reproduced monkey image in relation to the direction when looking at the screen. For example, if the specific direction is "north" and the predetermined position is "above the screen," it would be good because it would be intuitive to understand by comparing it with a map.
(18) A display device for a drive recorder equipped with an editing and playback function that does not play back the videos shot by the two cameras in chronological order, but automatically skips unnecessary videos and plays back the videos. It is good to say. For example, the video that the user is not interested in or does not want to watch does not continue to be played, and the video that is interesting is played, so the user can request to watch the shot video later. preferable.
Examples of the drive recorder display devices described above include a viewer installed in a computer, a display device connected to or mounted on the drive recorder, and a display device of in-vehicle equipment linked to the drive recorder. Examples of in-vehicle devices include car navigation devices.
(19) The program may be characterized by causing a computer to realize the function as a drive recorder display device according to any one of (13) to (18).
(20) The drive recorder according to any one of (4) to (12) may preferably have the function of the drive recorder display device according to any one of (13) to (17).
The inventions (1) to (12) and (20) described above can be combined arbitrarily. For example, it may be provided with at least any one of the other configurations (2) to (12) and (20) without all or part of (1). However, it is particularly preferable to include all or part of configuration (1) and at least any one configuration and combination of configurations (2) to (12) and (20). Further, arbitrary constituent elements may be extracted from at least one of (1) to (12) and (20) and combined. Moreover, the inventions (13) to (18) can be combined arbitrarily. Alternatively, arbitrary constituent elements may be extracted from at least one of (13) to (18) and combined. The applicant of this application has the intention to obtain patent rights, design rights, etc. for these structures through amendments, divisional applications, conversion applications to design registration applications, etc.
According to the present invention, the range that can be photographed is expanded compared to the conventional method, which is good. In addition, for example, it is possible to provide products described in this specification, such as products that exhibit the effects described as "capable of" in this specification.

Embodiments of the present invention will be described below with reference to the drawings. These drawings are used to explain technical features that can be adopted by the present invention. The configuration, shape, etc. of the device described are merely illustrative examples, and the present invention is not to be construed as being limited thereto. , various changes, modifications, and improvements may be made.
1 to 8, FIG. 21, FIG. 22, etc. show external views of a preferred embodiment of a drive recorder according to the present invention. The
The
The
The
The
When the
As shown in FIG. 1(a), FIG. 3, etc., a

Inside the
As shown in FIG. 5 and the like, the
The
The
As shown in FIG. 5 etc., when the
The
A
With the
The
When using the
As shown in FIG. 8 and the like, the
The images taken by the
Areas at a predetermined angle or more become blind spots that cannot be photographed by each camera. Therefore, the area from the position where the photographing areas of the two cameras overlap, shown by hatching in FIG. 8, to the vicinity of the
The
The

As described above, in this embodiment, the
Therefore, a mode is provided in which parking records are performed using such functions. The parking recording mode is a mode in which power is supplied from the power supply device to the
In this embodiment, a
In this embodiment, the
Further, when the
Since the
Furthermore, in this embodiment, a lamp is mounted on the
Additionally, the lamp could emit different colors, such as red and blue. The ability to emit light is achieved, for example, by incorporating a light emitting body that emits different colors, such as a three-color LED. By being able to emit light in different colors, the operating state and the like can be notified by changing the emitted light color and light emitting pattern as appropriate (see FIG. 9).

As described above, in this embodiment, the
Affix the
In this embodiment, the
In this embodiment, fixed objects inside the car, such as the pillar 3 and the dashboard 4, are used as objects that are reflected in the boundary between the two cameras. There are very few pictures of it. Since parts of the vehicle such as the pillar 3 and the dashboard 4 are located about 1 to 3 meters from the camera, there is little deviation even if the parts of the vehicle are reflected on both boundary parts. On the other hand, outside the vehicle, the distance is often 10m to 30m or more, and the positions captured by each camera have a large discrepancy, making it impossible to combine them into one. On the other hand, in this embodiment, as described above, since the joint between the images of the two cameras is set to an object inside the car that is at the same or a close distance, it is difficult for people and other objects located on the rear side to be captured in the image. Furthermore, in this form, instead of simply hiding the rear side with nearby pillar 3, etc., we have successfully adapted the human cognitive behavior that if there is an object that does not move, even if people or objects behind it are reflected, it will not feel strange. Even if it were to be displayed in two parts, it would not be noticeable and people would not notice it when they saw it. Furthermore, since users tend to only look in front, in front, or to the side, they don't pay attention to things like pillars located in the middle, and the scenery behind them gets less attention, so it feels less strange. good.

In this embodiment, the exposure control functions provided in the
By doing this, the brightness will not suddenly change at the joint between the images taken by the
As described above, in the correct installation/mounting state, the
Depending on the direction of the viewpoint, the image displayed on the display screen may be based on the image taken only by either the
The
For example, if two images are stitched together to form a spherical image, and the spherical image is viewed while being rotated 360 degrees in the horizontal direction, the displayed content will change from bright and clear outside to indoor Although it may be difficult to see in the dark, the seam between the images from the two cameras is not a problem. On the other hand, if you change the brightness so that you can clearly see the inside of the car, when you rotate the car 360 degrees as shown above, you will be able to see the outside scenery and the inside of the car brightly and clearly, but the joints will look strange. Put it away. With a normal camera, each image is photographed and displayed brightly and beautifully, but with this mode, the concept is to photograph and display the entire celestial sphere, so an image cut out from a part of the entire celestial sphere can be arbitrarily captured. If the screen is displayed while moving in the direction of , if the space cannot be displayed as if it is connected when viewed in all 720-degree directions, a sense of discomfort will arise. Therefore, in this embodiment, as a solution to prevent the discomfort from occurring at the joint portion, the
As described above, the exposure control functions of the
As shown in FIG. 11(b), an area spot R10 is provided in the upper half of the circular image photographed by the first
In addition, the lower half and surrounding area R11 are areas where unimportant parts such as the ceiling and dashboard of the car are photographed, so even if the photometry of that area is not reflected and becomes invisible, it will not have much effect. It's good because there is no Further, the
[Variation example with the same brightness]
In the embodiment described above, the exposure conditions such as the shutter speed are determined only based on the photometry results of the photometry function of the
Further, contrary to the above modification, the exposure conditions may be determined with emphasis on the photometry results of the
Further, it is preferable to treat the photometry results of the
Further, it is preferable to provide a mode setting function for determining which of the photometry results of the
In the above-described embodiments and modified examples, it is assumed that the entire video is taken with the same settings without any image processing, but for example, it is necessary to make sure that there is no sense of discomfort at the joints during shooting. It is also possible to make only the connecting parts the same brightness. However, in such a case, it is necessary to set which area to start correction from, and it is preferable to photograph the entire area with the same brightness as in the above-described embodiments and modifications because it can be configured easily. Furthermore, the brightness may be adjusted when compositing using a PC viewer, which will be described later, to make the joint portion less noticeable.

[Display device: PC viewer]
An embodiment of the display device for a drive recorder according to the present invention is configured by a personal computer. Although not shown, the hardware configuration of the drive recorder display device includes an arithmetic processing section, a storage section, an input section, a display section, a card reader, and the like. The storage unit is a non-volatile memory that stores application programs executed by the arithmetic processing unit, a work memory that the arithmetic processing unit uses while executing calculations, an internal memory that records images, sounds, and other information recorded while driving, etc. There is an external storage device (hard disk). The input unit is a pointing device such as a mouse or a keyboard. The card reader is a device that reads and writes data to and from the attached
By starting an application program (referred to as "PC viewer" in this embodiment) installed in the storage unit, the personal computer operates as a display device for the drive recorder. As described above, the
FIG. 12 shows an example of a display layout displayed on the display section of a personal computer with the PC viewer activated, a recorded video selected, and played back. A menu bar is provided near the upper side of the display screen 60, and a display area 62 for displaying an image of selected data is arranged in a large area below the menu bar. A map display section 63, a related information display section 64, and a playlist list display section 70 are provided below the display area 62 in order from the left.

The menu bar button group 61 includes, from the left, a folder designation button 61a, a still image conversion button 61b, a print button 61c, a video conversion button 61d, a backup button 61e, a log data conversion button 61f, and a recording setting change button 61g. The folder designation button 61a is used to designate data to be played, etc. When the folder designation button 61a is clicked, the PC viewer displays a list of folders recorded on the memory card set in the personal computer. . The user clicks and selects a folder in which data to be reproduced or the like is recorded from the displayed list of folders.
The PC viewer of this embodiment has a function of converting, for example, a video displayed in the display area 62 into a still image in a predetermined file format, such as JPEG format, and saving the still image. When the still image conversion button 61b is clicked, the PC viewer converts the image on the screen displayed in the display area 62 into a still image and records it in a predetermined storage area of the personal computer. According to the settings, the PC viewer creates and records still images by dividing the image being displayed or the video in the display area 62 by a specified number of frames over a specified time range.
The PC viewer of this embodiment has a function of printing the video displayed in the display area 62, for example. When the print button 61c is clicked, the PC viewer prints the image on the screen displayed in the display area 62 according to the set conditions. The set conditions are, for example, similar to the still image conversion described above, such as printing the displayed video as a still image, or printing a still image by dividing a specified time range from the video in the display area 62 into a specified number of frames. There are things like printing.
The PC viewer of this embodiment has a function of converting, for example, recorded data into a moving image in a predetermined file format, such as AVI format, and saving the converted data. When the video conversion button 61d is clicked while the recorded data that the user wants to convert is selected and read, the PC viewer displays the condition setting screen and uses the contents set on the condition setting screen. Convert the loaded video data to video data in a predetermined format. The condition setting screen includes an input area for specifying items such as file name, save location, range, subtitles, and compression format, and a [Start] button. The user sets conditions using the input area and clicks the [Start] button. By converting a video into an AVI format, the converted and saved file can be viewed using various video playback software, or uploaded to a homepage or other site for public viewing.
When the backup button 61e is clicked, the PC viewer backs up the video recorded on the
The map display section 63 displays a map 63a of a predetermined area and the position of the vehicle on the map 63a. The PC viewer acquires map data of the surrounding area where the vehicle is located based on the position information of the vehicle associated with the loaded video, displays a map 63a of a set scale on the map display section 63, An own vehicle position icon 63b is drawn at the current position of the vehicle on the map 63a (see FIGS. 12(a), 12(c), etc.). The map data may be obtained, for example, from a server on which maps are recorded via the Internet. If the map is acquired from the Internet, the map will not be displayed on the map display section 63 when the personal computer is not connected to the Internet. In addition, by selecting "Do not display map" in the settings, the operation mode is set in which no map is displayed on the map display section 63.
Furthermore, if the current position is unknown due to non-GPS positioning, it is preferable to display information instead of the map, for example, as shown in FIG. 12(b), instead of displaying the map. For example, when GPS positioning is not performed, the map 63a may be displayed but the own vehicle position icon 63b may not be displayed. However, if the own vehicle position icon 63b is not displayed, users may end up looking for the own vehicle position icon on the map, or the vehicle may malfunction. However, it is better to display another image or the like without displaying the map 63a as in this embodiment, since it will be easier to understand that GPS positioning is not being performed.
The related information display section 64 has a timeline display section 74 arranged at the upper end, a volume switching button 66 arranged at the upper left of the lower side, a date and time information display section 73 arranged at the upper right, and a play button display section below it. 65, a running speed display section 67, an acceleration display section 68, and a latitude/longitude display section 69 are arranged in order from the top at the bottom left of the playback button display section 65, and an acceleration sensor graph display is arranged at the bottom right of the playback button display section 65. A layout is adopted in which the section 71 is arranged. The timeline display section 74 shows the playback position of the video displayed in the display area 62 in one piece of recorded data, and shows the entire timeline of the playback time of the recorded data with a red bar. , control is performed to move the position of the knob 74a to the right as the playback progresses. When the position of the knob 74a is slid and moved, playback starts from that position. During continuous recording, the location where the event was recorded is displayed with a yellow vertical line 74b (see FIG. 12(c), etc.).
The volume switching button 66 is a button for muting and adjusting the volume, and includes a mute button 66a and a knob 66b (see FIG. 16(c)). When the mute button 66a is clicked, the PC viewer mutes the reproduced audio, and when the mute button 66a is clicked in the muted state, the mute is released. When the user slides the knob 66b by operating the pointing device, the PC viewer adjusts the volume according to the position of the knob 66b.
The date and time information display section 73 is an area that displays the date and time when the video being played back was recorded. The time includes the main body time recorded based on the internal clock of the
The playback button display section 65 is a group of buttons for performing operations such as playback and fast forwarding. From left to right, it has buttons for ``fast rewind,'' ``previous frame,'' ``reverse play,'' ``stop,'' ``play,'' ``next frame,'' and ``fast forward.'' When each button is clicked, the PC viewer executes a process corresponding to that button. If each button of "fast rewind", "reverse play", "play", and "fast forward" is clicked multiple times, the PC viewer changes the playback speed. For example, if you click "playback" or "reverse playback" once, the paper will be recycled at 1x normal speed, and if you click twice, it will "playback" or "reverse playback" at a slow speed, such as 0.5x speed. Also, "Fast rewind" or "Fast forward" is clicked once at 2x speed, clicked twice at 4x speed, clicked three times at 8x speed, and clicked four times at 16x speed. "do. "Playback/Reverse Playback" adjusts the speed to slow down, and "Fast Forward/Fast Reverse" adjusts the speed to speed up, allowing you to suddenly switch from fast playback to slow playback, or vice versa. Switching can be done easily, and it is also good because the user can intuitively understand the assignment by using a button that originally performs high-speed playback, such as "fast forward," with the function of adjusting the speed in the direction of increasing the speed.
As shown in an enlarged view in FIG. 16(a), the traveling speed display section 67 is an area that displays the traveling speed recorded by GPS. The acceleration display section 68 is an area that displays the recorded impact/acceleration values front and back (X direction: e.g. red), left and right (Y direction: e.g. yellow-green), and up and down (Z direction: e.g. blue). . The latitude/longitude display section 69 is an area that displays latitude (N) and longitude (E) recorded by GPS. The traveling speed, acceleration, longitude and latitude are all information at the current position of the video displayed in the display area 62. The acceleration sensor graph display section 71 is an area that displays acceleration sensor graphs in chronological order. The recorded data is displayed in a graph with acceleration on the vertical axis and time on the horizontal axis. In this embodiment, an X-axis acceleration graph 71a, a Y-axis acceleration graph 71b, and a Z-axis acceleration graph 71c are displayed, and the display colors of the graphs are similar to the display color of the acceleration display section 68. This is good because it makes it easier to understand the correspondence between the two. When the inside of the area is clicked, the PC viewer moves the cursor 71d to the clicked position and displays the traveling speed, acceleration, latitude and longitude on each display section with the current position of the cursor 71d. When the play button is clicked, the PC viewer plays the video from the position of the cursor 71d. The PC viewer acquires various types of information stored in association with the video to be played, and displays the information on a corresponding display section.
A time display section 71e is arranged below the graph. The time display section 71e shows, from the left, the recording start time of the recorded data to be played back, the current time at the cursor position, and the recording end time. If there is an impact with an acceleration exceeding the reference value, the time at which the testimony occurred is displayed as event time 71f in the graph. A + button 71g, a return button 71h, and a - button 71i are provided on the right side of the graph. When the + button 71g is clicked, the PC viewer enlarges the acceleration sensor scale, and when the - button 71i is clicked, the PC viewer reduces the acceleration sensor scale. When the return button 71h is clicked, the PC viewer returns to the standard scale.
The playlist list display section 70 displays the selected data name. In FIG. 12, the data name “2016/09/06 11:47:28 [48 minutes]” is displayed. In the case of continuous recording, the data name is a combination of the date and time when recording started and the recording time. In the case of event recording, the data name is the date and time of event occurrence and the type of event occurrence. Types of event occurrence include "impact" based on the acceleration sensor, "sudden start/sudden stop", and "one touch" based on the operation of the
The display area 62 is an area where recorded video is displayed. As described above, the
For example, as shown in FIG. 13(a), in a state where a predetermined range in front is displayed, the user uses a pointing device such as a mouse to drag the left button at an arbitrary position in the display area 62. I do. When the PC viewer detects that the left button drag operation has been performed, the PC viewer displays the displayed image in the display area 62 so as to move it in the direction of the drag. For example, if you drag a predetermined distance to the right in the display area 62 as shown by the arrow 75 in FIG. 13(a), the PC viewer moves the displayed image to the right by a predetermined distance, and as shown in FIG. 13(a). The video that was on the left outside of the display area 62 is drawn in the display area 62, and the video that was displayed on the right side of the display area 62 in FIG. 13(b)). As a result, the image displayed in the display area 62 changes so that the line of sight rotates to the left, and in the example shown in the figure, the front left scenery is displayed. By increasing the dragging distance or repeatedly dragging in the same direction, the displayed image is displayed in such a way that the displayed image rotates counterclockwise in the horizontal direction around the position of the
The direction of dragging is not limited to the horizontal direction, but can be moved in any direction within the display area 62, such as up and down or diagonally, and the PC viewer will display the image along the direction of movement. Replace. The user can display and view the desired video by dragging the left button of the mouse and moving the pointer to the part he or she wants to display.
When the mouse is right-clicked with the pointer placed within the display area 62, the PC viewer displays the image display area menu shown in FIG. 13(b). This screen display area menu is, for example, drawn in an overlapping manner on the display area 62. This image display area menu has an "Image Status" item that displays the current image orientation at the top, and three operation items below it: "Return to Standard," "Invert," and "Enlarge/Reduce." Create a layout for arranging items. In the figure, the "image state" indicates "normal rotation" which is the state of FIG. 13(a).
When "Restore to Standard" is clicked and selected, the PC viewer returns the reversed, enlarged/reduced image to the initial display, and displays the restored video in the display area 62. "Flip" has three items as a lower menu list: "Flip horizontally", "Flip vertically", and "Flip front and back". When "horizontal flip" is clicked, the PC viewer flips the displayed image horizontally (see FIG. 13(d)). When "vertical flip" is clicked, the PC viewer flips the displayed image vertically (see FIG. 13(e)). When "Flip Front and Back" is clicked, the PC viewer displays an image that is flipped front and back and rotated 180 degrees from the currently displayed image. For example, when an image taken from the front is displayed as shown in FIG. 13(a), if "Flip front and back" is clicked, an image of the interior of the vehicle behind the drive recorder will be displayed as shown in FIG. 13(f). Display. "Enlarge/Reduce" has two items as a lower menu list: "Enlarge" and "Reduce". When "Enlarge" is clicked, the PC viewer enlarges and displays the image by 200% based on the center of the displayed image (see FIG. 14(a)). When "Reduce" is clicked, the PC viewer reduces the image by 50% based on the center of the display screen and displays it (see FIG. 14(a)). By changing the viewing direction as appropriate, you can check the driving situation from all directions.
When playing recorded data, a desired video list is selected from the playlist list display section 70 and executed. In this embodiment, the records are grouped into event records, constant records, and history records, and one of the grouped records is selected to be reproduced. Therefore, the user clicks on any one of the event recording tab 70a, the constant recording tab 70b, and the history recording tab 70c. For example, FIG. 15 shows a state in which the event recording tab 70a is clicked.
When the event record tab 70a is clicked, the PC viewer creates and displays a list of event record data recorded on the memory card. The user clicks and selects the checkbox 70d associated with the data name of the video he or she wishes to view. When the check box 70d is clicked, the PC viewer displays a check mark "R" in the check box 70d. This selection may be made for multiple pieces of data at once. When the read button 70e is clicked, the PC viewer reads the selected recorded data, displays the data name in the playlist, and displays the video in the display area 62. If multiple data are selected, multiple data names are listed in the playlist, and the topmost video is displayed.
The video displayed in the display area 62 along with this recording and playback is a predetermined main image. The main image is, for example, an image facing in a desired direction such as the front of the vehicle, and is an image of a standard size set as an initial display (see FIG. 17(a), etc.). The standard size may range from 120 degrees horizontally to 70 degrees vertically, for example. This range corresponds to the angle of view that is used as a normal drive recorder, so it is a familiar image for users of the normal drive recorder, and it is possible to obtain the same necessary information as with a normal drive recorder. It is good because it can be done. This main image should show the entire windshield.
In this embodiment, when the
It is also preferable to have a function of calculating the front position when displaying on a PC viewer from the installation angle obtained when correcting the installation angle using the acceleration sensor, and determining the standard position of the display image as the calculated front position. This assumes that the vertical direction to the acceleration sensor and the front of the camera are parallel. Then, from the angle between the gravity direction at the time of installation and the vertical direction of the acceleration sensor, find the angle so that the gravity direction is directly below, and the vertical direction of the acceleration sensor and the front of the camera are relative to the direction in which the gravity direction is directly below. The orthogonal direction is determined to be the center of the displayed image. As a result, even if, for example, the user places the sensor right next to the windshield by mistake, the front can be detected from the direction of gravity and displayed as the standard position.
Although specific illustration is omitted, when the constant recording tab 70b is clicked, the PC viewer creates and displays a list of constant recording data recorded on the memory card. The PC viewer captures the recorded data selected by the user, displays the data name in the playlist of the playlist list display section 70, and displays the video in the display area 62. When the trigger list display button 70f is clicked, the PC viewer displays the event trigger list 70h in the playlist of the playlist list display section 70 (see FIG. 16(b)). When an item in this trigger list 70h is clicked, the PC viewer jumps to the recorded event and plays back the video. By doing this, it is possible to efficiently play back the video of the portion where the event occurred and check the content.
Furthermore, the above-described processing based on the playback button display section 65 and the processing based on the volume switching button 66 is also executed based on the playback button 72a of the menu bar. For example, as shown in FIG. 16(d), when the play button 72a on the menu bar is clicked, the PC viewer displays a pull-down menu list 72b as shown. When a desired item in the menu list 72b is clicked, the PC viewer performs a playback operation for the corresponding item. In addition, although specific illustrations are omitted, based on the click of the button for each item of ``File'', ``View'', and ``Tools'' on the menu bar, a pull-down menu of items to perform each of the above-mentioned processes is displayed, and based on that It also has the ability to execute similar processing.
[A function that displays the driver and passengers and the scenery outside the vehicle on one screen, and displays the scenery outside in a flowing manner]
As mentioned above, at the start of playback, a predetermined reference image is displayed, and after that, the user can change the viewing direction or enlarge/reduce the angle of view according to the user's operations, etc. to display images in any direction. You can see the video. For example, by performing reduction processing to widen the angle of view, by reversing the reference image front and back, or by changing the viewing direction by 180 degrees horizontally, the rear-facing video captured by the
According to this display mode, the outside scenery is displayed flowing from the center toward the left and right rear, resulting in an interesting video that is not normally seen. If you just look at the front of the reference image, it is a function of the original drive recorder, but you can continue to see the scenery in front of you and the vehicle in front, which makes it difficult to get interested and lacks fun, but with the above display mode, you can't see it normally. Good because you can see the scenery. For example, recently, travel programs on TV show footage of the inside of the car, such as the driver and passengers, taken with a camera mounted on the dashboard, etc., but what is filmed and displayed is the driver and passengers outside. The scenery is not captured, and even if it were captured, it would only be slightly visible from the window behind the driver and passenger. According to this embodiment, not only the driver but also the passengers in the front and rear seats are displayed in the central portion 81, and the outside scenery on the left and right sides are displayed in a flowing manner on the periphery, which is interesting. It is also good because it allows you to have a picture of celebrities having fun inside the car and a beautiful view outside at the same time.
Furthermore, in this display mode, the image displayed in the peripheral area 82 is not only the scenery on the left and right sides of the vehicle, but also the scenery on both the left and right sides from the front of the vehicle photographed by the
[Viewer composition function]
As described above, in this embodiment, two images taken by the
[Mask function, etc.]
The
The display within the mask area 62b may be displayed in various ways, such as by performing mosaic processing, lowering the resolution, or painting with a predetermined color. When painting, it is best to adjust the transparency as appropriate so that you can see it faintly, rather than filling it completely with a solid color.
It is more preferable to have a function of automatically setting the mask area 62b. For example, use the automatic setting function as follows. For example, for a person such as a user who wants to be masked, an image of the face, etc. is registered in advance, and the registered person, such as the user, inside the vehicle is recognized using image recognition, and a predetermined area including that person's face is detected. Although it may be set in the mask area, it is more preferable to set it based on the movement speed/displacement speed within the image, for example. For example, while the vehicle is moving, people and objects outside the vehicle move at a fast speed relative to the vehicle, while people inside the vehicle move at a slow speed. Also, seats and other installed items inside the vehicle will not be moved. Based on this difference in moving speed, it is preferable to set a mask area for objects within a certain speed range. In this way, there is no need for advance registration, it is possible to mask with a simple process without image recognition, and even if there is a person who is not registered, the masking process can be performed for fellow passengers, so it is versatile. good.
[Specific image display function]
As mentioned above, the PC viewer allows you to pause the video being played at any position, view it in any direction, flip it upside down, and enlarge/reduce the video in all directions according to the user's operations. Display in any direction at a desired angle of view. If you change the display direction and angle of view as appropriate during playback, an interesting and interesting video will be played, but there is a risk that you will lose track of where the currently displayed video is facing. Therefore, it would be good to have a function that displays a specific direction with a one-touch operation. For example, when the "return to standard" item in the screen display area menu shown in FIG. 13(b) is clicked, the display of the display area 62 is returned to the initial display, but similarly, By clicking on a button or item provided at a specific location, for example, items in a specific direction such as front/back/left/right can be displayed with one touch. If such a function is provided, it is good because no matter which direction the current display is facing, the desired orientation can be displayed with a single touch. Further, as described above, the specific direction is not the front, back, left, or right direction centered on the drive recorder, but for example, when displaying the rear side, it is preferable to set the specific direction not directly behind but diagonally behind. It is best to face the driver's seat diagonally backwards. This is good because it allows you to capture the inside of the vehicle with the driver in the center. Apart from the above-mentioned mask function, it is preferable for users who want to see themselves because they are displayed in a self-centered manner.
Furthermore, as mentioned above, the function is not limited to displaying a predetermined direction with a one-touch operation. It would be good to have a function that displays images saved in the same direction and angle of view by one-touch operation or other simple operations during subsequent playback.
[Function to display a specific direction, etc. so that it appears at a specific position]
One of the characteristics of a drive recorder that photographs the entire sky like this embodiment is that it displays a sphere as shown in FIG. 18 by widening the angle of view. When displaying a sphere in this way, with the center of the circle being the ground and the outer circumference being the sky, the PC viewer will store information about how to use the geomagnetic sensor in association with it, so that when playing back, north is the It is best to display it so that it is facing upwards.
In the above-described embodiments, the standard display is such that the bone net of the vehicle is placed at a specific position, and the scenery in front of the vehicle while driving is placed in the center. In addition to this display mode, it is preferable to have a function of displaying a specific direction (for example, north) at a specific position (for example, top) as described above. In this way, for example, it is preferable to display north at the top because it matches well with the map. For example, while displaying a map in North Head, if the images were taken with a drive recorder at the corresponding position on the map and the images are displayed side by side, and the images are also displayed with north at the top, the upper part of the image will be Therefore, it is possible to easily associate buildings, etc., shown in the video with landmarks, such as buildings, on the map. In this way, it is convenient to view it together with a map, especially when a specific direction is set as "north." Also, for example, when creating an accident report, it is good because situation reports such as ``Collision with a vehicle traveling from the south'' can be easily recorded. It is also good because it makes it easy to correlate images taken with multiple drive recorders. Not only in a circular display, but also in a 360-degree band-like display like a panoramic photo, it is recommended that the north side be at a predetermined position.
Also, pointing in a specific direction is not limited to the azimuth; for example, you can use a destination or a specific landmark, but if you set the azimuth, especially "north", it will match the map. preferable.
Furthermore, when pointing a specific direction such as "north" upwards, it is good not only because it matches well with the map, but also because, for example, when playing a video, you can easily estimate the direction of travel of your vehicle from the flow of images. . For example, if "north" is displayed at the top and all directions are displayed on one screen, such as in Figure 18, if the vehicle is moving north, it will be displayed in the peripheral area R11 on both sides of the circle. The outside scenery is played as if it flows from top to bottom. On the other hand, when the water is moving south, it flows from the bottom to the top, contrary to the above, and in the east-west direction, the upper and lower parts of the circle flow sideways. This is good because you can easily understand which direction the image is going in from the flow of the image. Furthermore, the direction displayed at the top is not limited to "north"; by displaying another specific direction at the top, the direction in which the vehicle is traveling can be determined from the flow of the image.
For example, with so-called sports cameras and action cameras that shoot all over the sky, it is best to display the camera so that the subject, such as a child, is in the center, but in the case of a drive recorder, the first priority is to record when an accident occurs. If this is the purpose, the subject will not be unique because it is impossible to predict where danger will approach, such as a rear-end collision with a vehicle in front, a rear-end collision with a vehicle from the side or the rear, etc. Therefore, by focusing on the direction and determining a specific direction (for example, ``north'') as a specific position (for example, ``above''), you can ``see the direction of what is reflected at a glance''. The driving direction of your vehicle can be easily estimated from the flow of images when playing a video.'' ``Matching is better when lined up with a map.'' ``Videos taken with multiple drive recorders or images taken in the past of the same location.'' It is good because it has various effects such as ``making the correlation with the image easier to photograph.''
[Modified example of sphere display]
For example, when a spherical display is used as shown in FIG. 18, etc., an area where no image is present is generated in the display area 62 outside the circular display area 62a in which the image is displayed. Therefore, the PC viewer is provided with an additional information display section 78 in an area where there is no such image, and the additional information display section 78 displays information such as the azimuth indicating the direction of travel of the vehicle, information regarding the road such as the name of the road on which it is traveling, pedestrian information, etc. It is preferable to display various types of information (see FIG. 18(b)). In FIG. 18(b), the additional information display section 78 is provided at the lower left, but the arrangement position is arbitrary, and a plurality of additional information display sections 78 may be arranged. It's good to have more than one because you can display more information.
As for pedestrian information, for example, a PC viewer performs image recognition processing on a displayed image to extract a person. When a person is extracted, the PC viewer displays the presence of the person as text information such as "There was a person". Additionally, it is preferable to draw a mark such as an arrow on the part of the person displayed in the display area 62a of the display area 62 to make it easier to understand the position of the person. In this way, it is possible to easily confirm whether a person is approaching or away from the vehicle, for example. Also, for example, instead of displaying everything when a person is recognized, it is a good idea to use image recognition or other personal authentication to display information that identifies the detected person, such as the name, when a specific person is detected. .
In this case, it is better to display the people outside the vehicle and the people inside the vehicle separately. For example, if the person is outside the vehicle, it will be displayed if the presence of a person is detected in order to determine whether there is a risk of contact, and if the person is inside the vehicle, the person is identified as an acquaintance, and the identified information will be notified. good.
[Multiple screen display function]
In each of the embodiments described above, the display area 62 displays one image based on one viewpoint, such as the entire spherical image or an image cut out from it. is not limited to this, and it is preferable to display a plurality of different images at the same time. This is good because it allows you to view images from a plurality of different directions, eliminates blind spots, and allows you to view interesting images.
As for the images in a plurality of different directions, for example, as shown in FIG. 19, the first image display section 76 may display the scenery in front, and the second image display section 77 may display an image of the interior of the vehicle. By doing this, it is good because, for example, the driver and passenger's behavior when looking at the scenery in front can be linked and confirmed. For example, if you see a beautiful scenery and there is a video of the driver or passenger being impressed or happy, you can see the correlation with the scenery and it is good for remembering the itinerary of the road trip. Further, the first image display section 76 and the second image display section 77 may have the same size as shown in the figure, but it is more preferable to make a difference in size and make them a main image display section and a sub image display section. . Changing the size of the main and sub images is good because it allows you to see the image displayed on the main image display section better. When dividing the image into main and sub images like this, the main image is preferably a front image showing the front, and the sub image is preferably an image of the interior of the vehicle in which the driver and the like are shown. This assignment is preferable for demonstrating the original function of the drive recorder. Further, the sub-image may be, for example, the left side or the right side of the vehicle. This is good because it allows you to check for accidents such as a collision from the side, for example.
[Automatic editing playback function]
When the entire sky-view image is displayed, it becomes a circular image as shown in FIG. 18 and the like. The PC viewer has a function of enlarging a part of the image and projecting it onto a flat surface for display. As described above, the PC viewer enlarges/reduces the omnidirectional image, moves the display range, etc. based on user operations such as dragging with a mouse and button operations while the image is being played back. There is a problem that this user operation is complicated and troublesome. Therefore, it is preferable to provide a function to automatically cut out and display an appropriate portion of the entire image without user operation. It would be good to have a function that automatically changes the angle displayed on the screen and the angle of view during all-sky video playback.
For example, it would be good to have a function that automatically changes the visible range (viewport) in the video in conjunction with vehicle information. Examples of changing the range include zooming in, zooming out, and panning.
For example, while driving, the portion in front of the vehicle may be enlarged and displayed, and if there is a viewpoint nearby such as Mt. Fuji, the viewport may be automatically panned in the direction of that point for playback. Such a function, for example, stores the positional information of the viewpoint, determines the direction of the viewpoint from the positional information of the vehicle being reproduced, automatically moves the cutting position, pans in the relevant direction, and reproduces.
For example, when driving on an expressway, the image taken by the
In addition, if you pause while driving, the same image will continue to be shot while the vehicle is stopped, so there is a risk that the same picture will continue to be displayed as a still image during the pause. This is not desirable. Therefore, it may be possible to skip the display while the vehicle is stopped, such as on a highway, and then play from the point when the vehicle starts traveling again. However, for example, if the vehicle stops while driving, It would be a good idea to automatically rotate the display so that it looks like you're shaking your head from side to side. When stopping temporarily, the driver may want to check the surrounding situation, so it is good because the confirmation movement is reproduced and the rotation shows that the car has stopped temporarily.
In this way, interesting scenery, etc. will be automatically played back, which will motivate the user to play back the recorded video. It is also good to have a function to record the played video. It is also good to have a function to record the video reproduced from the viewport or the like as a separate video file. By doing this, you can export the viewport information to a separate file and upload it to the Internet for public viewing.
Furthermore, there are television programs that are broadcast while switching between, for example, the scenery inside the train, a bird's-eye view of the train using a drone or the like, or the scenery from inside the train to the outside. As mentioned above, if it were possible to automatically play back scenes of interest from the footage of one's running, videos like the TV program mentioned above would be created and played, and people would be interested in watching them after going on a trip. It's good because it will be.
For example, in the case of so-called sports cameras and action cameras that shoot all celestial spheres, the photographer holds and operates the camera in his/her hand, so one lens must be pointed at the object to be photographed. Therefore, even if you play back the video you shot and recorded as is, it will still be the video you want to see, and there is relatively no problem even if you fix the viewport and do not edit it. Drive recorders, on the other hand, are attached to the vehicle and are constantly recording, so there is a high risk that uninteresting and useless footage or footage that is not facing the desired direction will be played back, making it more likely to cause the problems mentioned above. Become. This embodiment solves this problem.
[Driving recorder with display]
It is preferable that the drive recorder is equipped with a display device having each of the functions of the PC viewer described above. In the embodiment described above, the drive recorder does not have a display unit, and the images taken with the camera are recorded on the
For example, if images from the sides and rear of the vehicle are displayed while the vehicle is driving, the driver can see the surroundings of the vehicle by simply shifting his/her line of sight slightly toward the display device while facing forward. For example, when the display device displays an image of the interior of the vehicle captured by the
Furthermore, in cases where a PC viewer is not equipped with an enlargement/reduction function, for example, if the image captured by one or both of the
[Driving recorder with a function to report the situation inside the vehicle]
It is preferable to have a function of determining the condition of the fellow passenger from the image taken by the
Further, it is preferable to include a function of extracting people from the image taken by the
In this way, it is preferable to have a function that focuses on and counts people in the vehicle, recognizes their status, etc., and notifies the results by display or voice. Whether there is a person inside the car or not can be determined by, for example, performing recognition processing of people within the area corresponding to the inside of the car, or by determining the amount of movement (for example, if the vehicle is moving, there is less movement inside the car). ) is good because it allows you to easily distinguish between people inside and outside the car.
[Driving recorder with two cameras, only one of which captures a half-celestial sphere]
In the above-described embodiment, both the
For example, when the drive recorder is fixed to the ceiling of the vehicle, the third camera is configured to point the lens downward and capture images of an area of 360 degrees in the horizontal direction and 180 degrees in the vertical direction. When attached to a vehicle, it will take pictures of the front of the vehicle.
Although specific illustrations are omitted, the third camera and the fourth camera may be arranged in one housing.
When disposing it in one housing, for example, the housing is shaped like a rectangular parallelepiped box with a hemispherical part protruding from one side, and the third camera is mounted on the hemispherical part, and the rectangular parallelepiped part is mounted. Implement a fourth camera. The lens of the fourth camera is placed at the apex of the hemispherical portion, and the lens of the third camera is placed so as to be exposed on one side adjacent to the hemispherical portion. Then, when the drive recorder is attached to the ceiling of the vehicle via the mounting member, the hemispherical part is located at the bottom, and the side surface where the fourth camera lens is provided faces the front of the vehicle. .
For example, the hemispherical camera constituting the third camera photographs the lower half of the hemispherical area, but the image of the distant area outside the vehicle is too small, making it difficult to understand the situation, for example, in the event of an accident. Furthermore, since traffic lights are located diagonally above the vehicle, there is a problem in that they are often out of the photographing range. Therefore, in this embodiment, by providing a fourth camera constituting the front camera, it is possible to photograph an area in front of the vehicle that is difficult or impossible to photograph with the third camera.
It is preferable to switch the operations of the two cameras depending on the circumstances. For example, while driving, the third and fourth cameras are operated to take pictures of the hemispherical area in front and below the vehicle, and the images taken by the two cameras are simultaneously recorded on a memory card. By doing this, for example, in the event of an accident, if a collision occurs on the front side of the vehicle, a clean and clear image can be recorded based on the image taken by the fourth camera, similar to a conventional drive recorder. If a collision occurs at the side or rear of the vehicle, which is a blind spot for the fourth camera, a clear and clear image can be recorded based on the image taken by the third camera.
Also, for example, when parking, etc., only the third camera is operated because it is in security monitoring mode. In the spherical drive recorder, two cameras are operated even when parking, but in this version, only the third camera is operated, which is good because it reduces power consumption and allows longer recording and security monitoring. . Determinations when parking include, for example, the engine is stopped, there is no one in the driver's seat, the handbrake is pulled, the speed is 0 km, the current location is in the home parking lot, etc.
Although it is possible to operate only the fourth camera while driving, it is preferable to use the third camera and the fourth camera together because this allows recording of collisions around the vehicle, especially from the side or rear. . Switching the operation of both cameras is, for example, when moving to a highway or other destination, the fourth camera takes pictures of the front as a precaution in the event of an accident, and when the vehicle is near the destination, the surrounding scenery is often beautiful. A third camera may also be operated to photograph and record the scenery.
Further, the third camera may be used for monitoring while the vehicle is parked, and the fourth camera may be used to take pictures of the front while the vehicle is running, so that only one of them may be operated. In this usage mode, images specialized for the front and images specialized for the surroundings of the vehicle are switched depending on the purpose.
It would be a good idea to send one of them as real-time video to a smartphone or server, as this would allow real-time monitoring. Although it is possible to fix the image to be sent to either one, for example, it is preferable to send the image from the fourth camera while driving and the image from the third camera while parking.
Further, the idea of increasing the operation time by using one camera for security monitoring during parking according to the present embodiment may be applied to, for example, a drive recorder that photographs the entire sky. In this case, for example, instead of the
[Driving recorder with one camera]
In each of the embodiments described above, a plurality of cameras are combined to photograph an area wider than the hemispherical area, but in this embodiment, a single camera is used to photograph an area wider than the hemispherical area. I made it. When using a hemispherical camera with a circumference of 180 degrees and fixing it to the ceiling to photograph the lower hemispherical range, the following problems occur.
Of the circular images obtained by photographing, the resolution is highest in the center and lowest in the periphery. Therefore, for example, when monitoring parking, it is preferable that a single camera can capture 360 degrees in the horizontal direction, but the forward view of the vehicle in front is located at the periphery of the circular image obtained by shooting, so the resolution is low. The problem is that it gets worse. Furthermore, if you attach a camera to the ceiling, for example, you can photograph the vehicle and driver in front even at 180 degrees, but in addition to the low resolution mentioned above, it is difficult to photograph traffic lights located above the vehicle. Can not. In particular, in the event of an accident, it is essential to photograph traffic lights in order to identify the driving route and the color of surrounding traffic lights, and there is a problem in that it is not possible to photograph them.
In this embodiment, for example, a camera with a circumference of 240 degrees is used, and one camera is installed facing downward, and is used as a drive recorder that photographs a lower half-celestial sphere and an area further diagonally above it. This allows a single camera to capture images of the vehicle ahead, the driver and passengers inside the vehicle, and even traffic lights.
If the angle is set to 210 degrees, there is a risk that the traffic light cannot be photographed, so the lower limit is 220 degrees. On the other hand, as the angle increases, traffic lights can be photographed more reliably, but as the angle increases, more areas are photographed within the same circle, and the object to be photographed becomes smaller. Unless a traffic light is photographed at a certain size, the color of the traffic light cannot be distinguished and there is no point in recording it. Therefore, the upper limit is 260 degrees, which can ensure an appropriate size for discrimination. A more preferable range is 230 to 240 degrees, and in this embodiment, it is set to 240 degrees.
Furthermore, in this embodiment, a microwave sensor and an LTE communication function are provided. The main unit is activated when a microwave sensor detects approaching a vehicle. That is, in order to reduce battery consumption of the vehicle, the CPU, camera, and LTE are placed in a sleep state during standby. Then, if the microwave sensor responds, it will wake up from sleep mode. It takes 5 to 10 seconds to start up, so if you start it up with a microwave sensor and the acceleration sensor or door open sensor responds, you can use LTE to transfer images etc. to users who carry smartphones. Notice.
Since the microwave sensor reacts to all moving objects, in this embodiment, notifications are made based on detection by an acceleration sensor or a door open sensor, thereby suppressing frequent notifications. It would be good to have a function that allows users in remote locations to view real-time images on their smartphones by setting the mode.
[Other features]
It is preferable that the camera body and the GPS be separate units, and that the vehicle be equipped with a vehicle tracking function that allows the camera to be tracked using the GPS even if the camera is destroyed or stolen.
In each of the embodiments described above, the drive recorder preferably has a function of automatically uploading images taken around the mobile Orbis to the server.
It is best to connect the drive recorder to an in-vehicle device such as a car navigation system, and provide a function to display the images taken by the camera on the car navigation system.
In each of the embodiments described above, the drive recorder equipped with two cameras is configured such that the two cameras are mounted in one housing, but the present invention is not limited to this, and the two cameras are mounted in separate housings. You may also implement it in In that case, it is preferable to attach it to the vehicle using one common attachment member. Alternatively, two cameras installed in separate housings may be attached to the vehicle using separate mounting members, and the two cameras may be linked by wired or wireless communication using cables, but the orientation of the two cameras may be In order to achieve the desired positional relationship, it is better to use one common mounting member to attach it to the vehicle.Furthermore, as in the embodiment described above, it is better to attach the casing to the vehicle in the desired positional relationship. It is more preferable to implement it.
[ADAS(先進運転システム)への適用]
[Application to ADAS (Advanced Driving System)]
When using a video shot by the
Therefore, for example, the camera is fixed in a structure similar to the
In another configuration, the camera is not fixed and its direction can be adjusted. The area for use in ADAS is extracted from the area of the windshield to estimate the area of the windshield and vehicle interior from moving parts in the video (parts with optical flow) and non-moving parts such as pillars. An area used to detect whether the user is falling asleep, looking aside, etc. may be cut out from the area of the vehicle interior.
Furthermore, in the case of the drive recorder, the point with the highest resolution (for example, the center) is directed toward the front, but it may be better to point toward the white line, for example.
[Format for mounting outside the vehicle]
In the above-described embodiment, the camera is provided in the vehicle interior, but it is preferable to provide the camera in the vehicle interior, or to provide the following configuration without providing the camera in the vehicle interior. It is preferable to include a hemispherical camera that photographs the outside of the vehicle (preferably a camera capable of photographing an area exceeding 180 degrees around the entire circumference, particularly a camera capable of photographing an area exceeding 210 degrees around the entire circumference).
In particular, it is best to install it from the side of the vehicle toward the outside, or from the side of the vehicle toward the bottom. For example, it is advisable to install such a camera on a side mirror so as to photograph the lower side from the lower surface side of the side mirror. In particular, it is preferable to provide such cameras on the left and right sides of the vehicle.
The installation location is not limited to this, for example, it can be installed in at least one of the four corners of the vehicle (front right, front left, rear right, rear left) (especially preferably the front left). It is a good idea to install suitable cameras (especially in all four corners). In particular, it is best to install it at the area where the front and side surfaces of the vehicle meet (in between) so as to photograph the outside from the vehicle side. At this time, it is preferable that the photographing direction of the center of the camera is oriented laterally outward at an angle exceeding 45 degrees with respect to the straight forward direction. In other words, it is preferable to install the device so that the area of the captured image is larger on the side than in the front.
Images from these cameras make it easier than before to check whether a vehicle is running over a curb, falling into a gutter, falling into a ravine, or hitting a guardrail. This is particularly effective when passing or stopping to avoid oncoming vehicles on narrow roads such as mountain roads, or when parking as far to the left as possible.
In particular, it is best to install it so that the area around the tires is within the shooting range. It would be better to include the area visible from the driver's seat in a small mirror installed under the conventional left side mirror. These small mirrors are small and difficult to see, especially at night, but this problem can be solved.
In particular, if a camera is installed at the front end or rear end of the vehicle, such as at the four corners mentioned above, when exiting the road from a place surrounded by a wall on one side (or especially both sides), it is possible to The situation of bicycles, pedestrians, etc. can be easily checked over a wide range with a small number of cameras.
In particular, it is preferable to have a function of changing the display range of the all-sky camera according to user instructions. In particular, it is preferable to have a function of enlarging the part where a touch is detected in the image of the omnidirectional camera displayed on the display screen. In particular, it is best to move the touched position to the center of the display section of the screen and draw.
Further, in the above-described embodiment, the omnidirectional camera is in a fixed state, but for example, a mechanism may be provided that changes the shooting direction of the omnidirectional camera based on a user's operation. For example, a configuration may be adopted in which a remotely controllable electric pan head or the like is attached to the vehicle, a camera is fixed to the pan head, and the photographing direction of the pan head can be changed by remote control.
