〔2〕好ましくは、前記ベースメイク塗膜に含まれる強いラマン散乱を示す成分の少なくとも一部が、規格化最大ラマン散乱強度のより低い他の成分に置き換えられている、〔1〕記載の方法。
〔3〕好ましくは、前記強いラマン散乱を示す成分が、規格化最大ラマン散乱強度が1以上の成分である、〔1〕又は〔2〕記載の方法。

スクワラン、トリアシルグリセロール(TAG、商品名「クロピュアOL」、化粧品原料、クローダジャパン株式会社)、オレイン酸を3:3:2(質量比)で混合し、モデル皮脂として用いた。
オレイン酸のアルキル鎖のHの一部をDで置き換えた重水素ラベル化オレイン酸(C18H17D17O2、Cayman Chemical社)を、上記と同様の比率でスクワラン及びTAGと混合し、重水素ラベルモデル皮脂を調製した。
表1に示す4種のベースメイク製剤(処方1~4)を調製した。表1中の数値は、処方中の各成分の含有量(質量%)を示す。
表1に示す処方の各含有成分単独でのラマンスペクトルを測定した。結果を図1~2に示す。また、表2に示す5種の成分について規格化最大ラマン散乱強度を算出した。各成分(被験物質)を等量のワセリン(ベビーワセリン、健栄製薬)とあわせ、メノウの乳鉢を用いてよく粉砕・混合して等質量混合物を調製した。該混合物についてランダムに10か所のラマンスペクトルを測定した。この10枚のスペクトルを足し合わせた積算スペクトルを、該等質量混合物のラマンスペクトル(Smix(ω)、ωは波数)とした。また該等質量混合物を構成する2成分の、各単独でのラマンスペクトル(ワセリン:Swas(ω)、被験物質Ssub(ω))を別途測定した。その後、下記(式1)を最も良く満たす定数a,bを最小二乗法によって算出した。

その後、300~4000[cm-1]の領域におけるbSsub(ω)の最大値を、2920±120[cm-1]の領域におけるaSwas(ω)の最大値で除すことにより、規格化最大ラマン散乱強度を算出した。その結果を表2に示す。
モデル皮脂、重水素ラベルモデル皮脂、及びそれらの含有成分単独でのラマンスペクトルを測定した。結果を図3に示す。
処方1~4のベースメイクをそれぞれカバーガラス(170μm厚、松浪硝子工業)上に、厚さ100μmで塗工し、1日以上乾燥させた後、ラマンスペクトルを測定した。
ラマン散乱光とは異なる強い蛍光や発光が観測され、ラマンスペクトルは測定できなかった。顕微ラマン分光測定前後の処方1塗膜の光学顕微鏡像を図4に示す。レーザーが照射された領域(画面中央部)の塗膜が変形していた。これはレーザー照射による発熱により、塗膜が破壊されたことを意味する。
処方2は、レーザーによる発熱を防ぐために、光を吸収する主体である酸化鉄を除いた処方である。顕微ラマン分光測定前後の処方2塗膜の光学顕微鏡像を図5に示す。測定の前後で塗膜構造に変化が生じなかったことが確認できた。これにより、酸化鉄を除くことで、ラマン分光測定によるベースメイク塗膜の破壊を回避できることがわかった。
処方2塗膜についての2次元ラマンイメージング(水平方向(XY)、20μm×20μm)の結果を図6に示す。図6A)はCH基の信号(2800~3040[cm-1]におけるピーク面積)、図6B)は酸化チタンの信号(550~650[cm-1]におけるピーク面積)の2次元像を示す。また、測定範囲中の6点におけるラマンスペクトルを図6C)に示す。Spot-5以外の5枚のスペクトル中では、処方中に8質量%しか含まれていない酸化チタンの信号(450±50[cm-1]と610±60[cm-1]におけるピーク)が極めて強く出現し、シリコーン骨格を持つ成分の信号(500±80[cm-1]におけるピーク)や酸化亜鉛の信号(435±25[cm-1]におけるピーク)成分の信号検出における妨害となっていた。
処方3は、処方2の酸化チタンをタルクに置き換えたものである。処方3塗膜についての2次元ラマンイメージング(水平方向(XY)、20μm×20μm)の結果を図7に示す。図7A)はCH基の信号(2800~3040cm-1におけるピーク面積)の2次元像を示す。また測定範囲中の6点におけるラマンスペクトルを図7B)に示す。1610±50[cm-1]と1165±25[cm-1]にUV吸収剤の信号が共通して出現していたが、それ以外の波数領域のスペクトルは部位によって大きく異なっていた。例えばSpot-2やSpot-5では酸化亜鉛の存在を示す435±25[cm-1]のピークを認めることができ、Spot-6ではシリコーン骨格を持つ成分の存在を示す500±80[cm-1]のピークを認めることができた。このように酸化チタンをタルクに置き換えることで、塗膜内の局所におけるラマンスペクトルの違いを明瞭に観察できるようになった。
規格化最大ラマン強度が酸化チタンに次いで大きな成分であるUV吸収剤を、処方3において他の油剤で置き換えることにより、更に詳細な組成情報が読み取れるようになることが期待された。しかし、その反面UV吸収剤特有の分布情報が消失するため、本実施例ではUV吸収剤の置き換えまでは行わなかった。
処方3塗膜の6種の信号成分(CH基、シリコーン類、UV吸収剤、グリセリン、タルク、酸化亜鉛)についてのラマンイメージングを図8~9に示す。図8はXYイメージング、図9はXZイメージングである。図9中の破線は塗膜とガラス基板の境界位置を示す。ラマン信号から各成分の分布又は存在部位を比較することで、ベースメイクの主要な3種の液体成分(シリコーン類、UV吸収剤、グリセリン)は塗膜中でよく混和せず、それぞれ独立したドメインを形成していることがわかった。
処方4塗膜の6種の信号成分(CH基、シリコーン類、UV吸収剤、グリセリン、タルク、酸化亜鉛)についてのラマンイメージングを図10~11に示す。図10はXYイメージング、図11はXZイメージングである。図11中の破線は塗膜とガラス基板の境界位置を示す。処方3塗膜と同様に、処方4においても、ベースメイクの主要な3種の液体成分(シリコーン類、UV吸収剤、グリセリン)はよく混和せずに、それぞれ独立したドメインを形成していた。
処方3及び処方4をそれぞれカバーガラス(170μm厚、松浪硝子工業)上に厚さ100μmで塗工した。1日以上乾燥させた後のベースメイク塗膜に、0.2μLのモデル皮脂を滴下し、滴下5分後までの平面方向の浸透距離を1分毎に計測した。本観察はデジタル顕微鏡観察下で行い、浸透距離は画像計測機能により求めた。結果を図12に示す。高耐皮脂処方である処方3の塗膜は、低耐皮脂処方である処方4の塗膜よりも皮脂の拡散が遅かった。
処方1~4の耐皮脂性を官能評価した。評価では、5名の専門評価者が、各処方を指で顔面に塗布した後の顔面の状態を目視により下記の5段階の基準で官能評価した。
スコア5;塗布後、6時間経過後の肌に皮脂によるテカリがない
スコア4;塗布後、6時間経過後の肌に皮脂によるテカリがあまりない
スコア3;塗布後、6時間経過後の肌に皮脂によるテカリがややある
スコア2;塗布後、6時間経過後の肌に皮脂によるテカリがある
スコア1;塗布後、6時間経過後の肌に皮脂によるテカリがかなりある
処方3の含有成分とモデル皮脂の含有成分のラマンスペクトルを、重ね書き(オフセット表示)したものを図13に示す。モデル皮脂含有成分(スクアラン、TAG、オレイン酸)は、ベースメイク塗膜の含有成分に対して明瞭に異なるラマン信号を持たなかった。ベースメイク塗膜と皮脂を明瞭に識別するために、モデル皮脂として重水素ラベルモデル皮脂を用いた。図13に示すとおり、重水素ラベルモデル皮脂を用いることで、2200cm-1付近のCD伸縮振動の信号に基づいて、ベースメイク塗膜中での皮脂の存在部位を明瞭に検出することができた。
重水素ラベルモデル皮脂を、処方3(高耐皮脂)又は処方4(低耐皮脂)の塗膜にごく少量スポット状に付与した。該モデル皮脂が拡散した塗膜領域内の外周部において、7種の信号成分(CH基、シリコーン類、UV吸収剤、グリセリン、タルク、酸化亜鉛、及びモデル皮脂(CD基))についてのラマンイメージングを取得した。処方3塗膜のラマンイメージングを図14~15に、処方4塗膜のラマンイメージングを図16~17に示す。図14、16はXYイメージング、図15、17はXZイメージングであり、図15及び17中の破線は塗膜とガラス基板の境界位置を示す。
処方3塗膜では、塗膜中でCD基が局在する部位があり、処方中の液体成分(シリコーン類、UV吸収剤、グリセリン)とCD基の存在部位が異なっていたことから、塗膜中で皮脂成分とベースメイクの成分がほぼ混和せず、皮脂を主体とするドメインが存在していたことが確認された。唯一の親水性成分であるグリセリンは、親油層内で球状に集まって存在していた。一方、処方4塗膜では、XYイメージングではUV吸収剤とCD基が分離している傾向が見えたが、それらの存在部位の違いは処方3塗膜ほど明瞭ではなく、さらにXZイメージングでは親油性液体成分(シリコーン類、UV吸収剤)とCD基の存在部位がかなり重複していた。
これらの結果から、塗膜中の親油性液体成分と皮脂との混和のしやすさが、処方3塗膜よりも処方4塗膜の耐皮脂性が低い原因であることが示唆された。

- ベースメイク塗膜の解析方法であって、
該方法は、以下:
解析対象のベースメイク製剤の代わりに、モデルベースメイク製剤を用意すること;
該モデルベースメイク製剤の塗膜を顕微ラマン分光法により測定すること、
を含み、
該モデルベースメイク製剤は、該解析対象のベースメイク製剤に含有される酸化チタンの少なくとも一部が、規格化最大ラマン散乱強度が1未満の成分に置き換えられており、かつ酸化鉄を含まないものであり;

- 前記モデルベースメイク製剤に重水素ラベルされた脂質成分を含有するモデル皮脂を添加することをさらに含む、請求項1又は2記載の方法。
- 前記顕微ラマン分光法が共焦点顕微ラマン分光法である、請求項1~3のいずれか1項記載の方法。
- 前記モデルベースメイク製剤の塗膜の顕微ラマン分光法による測定により、該塗膜からのラマン信号を2次元的又は3次元的に検出して、該塗膜の2次元ラマンイメージング又は3次元ラマンイメージングを行い、該塗膜の内部構造や各成分の分布を2次元又は3次元的に可視化することを含む、請求項1~4のいずれか1項記載の方法。
- ラマンスペクトル中におけるCD伸縮振動の信号を検出することにより、前記モデルベースメイク製剤の塗膜中での皮脂動態、又は皮脂によるベースメイク塗膜の内部構造や組成分布への影響を解析することを含む、請求項3~5のいずれか1項記載の方法。
