によって記述され得る。ベース湾曲面の設計において適切な非球面定数を用いることにより、所望の球面収差が導入され得る。異なる量の負の球面収差が後面114にわたって導入され得る。あるいは、後面114全体が特定の負の球面収差を有し得る。従って、ベース湾曲面130は、少なくとも遠方焦点に対して所望のレベルの負の球面収差をもたらすように選択され得る。

- 前面ベース湾曲面を有する前面と、
後面ベース湾曲面を有する後面であって、前記前面ベース湾曲面及び前記後面ベース湾曲面は、第1の焦点距離に対応する第1の焦点と、前記第1の焦点に対応する第1の球面収差と、を規定するベース屈折力をもたらすように適合される、後面と
前記前面及び前記後面の一方に配設される回折構造と、
を含み、
前記回折構造は、
前記第1の焦点距離に対応する前記第1の焦点と、第2の焦点距離に対応する第2の焦点と、の間で光を分割し、
前記第2の焦点に対応し、前記第1の球面収差に対して逆の符号を有する第2の球面収差をもたらす、
ように適合され、
前記第1の焦点は、眼用レンズのエネルギープロファイルの第1の強度ピークに関連し、
前記第2の焦点は、前記眼用レンズの前記エネルギープロファイルの第2の強度ピークに関連し、
前記第1の球面収差は、前記第1の強度ピークを前記第2の強度ピークに対して非対称に拡張する、眼用レンズ。 - 前記回折構造は、前記第1の焦点に対する一次回折次数および前記第2の焦点に対する二次回折次数を含む、請求項1に記載の眼用レンズ。
- 前記一次回折次数は零次であり、前記二次回折次数は一次である、請求項2に記載の眼用レンズ。
- 前記第1の球面収差は負の球面収差であり、前記第2の球面収差は正の球面収差である、請求項1に記載の眼用レンズ。
- 前記第1の焦点は遠方視に対応し、前記第2の焦点は近方視に対応する、請求項1に記載の眼用レンズ。
- 前記第1の球面収差は第1の大きさを有し、前記第2の球面収差は前記第1の大きさ以下の大きさの第2の大きさを有する、請求項1に記載の眼用レンズ。
- 前記第2の球面収差は、前記第2の強度ピークを前記第1の強度ピークに対して非対称に拡張する、請求項1に記載の眼用レンズ。
- 前記回折構造は、光を前記第1の焦点距離に対応する前記第1の焦点と、前記第2の焦点距離に対応する前記第2の焦点と、前記第1の焦点距離と前記第2の焦点距離との間である中間の焦点距離に対応する第3の焦点と、の間で分割するように適合される、請求項1に記載の眼用レンズ。
- 前記回折構造は、前記第3の焦点に対応する第3の球面収差をもたらし、
前記第3の球面収差の大きさは、前記第2の球面収差の大きさよりも小さい、請求項8に記載の眼用レンズ。 - 前記第2の球面収差は、前記第2の強度ピークを前記第1の強度ピークに対して非対称に拡張する、請求項8に記載の眼用レンズ。
- 前記眼用レンズは、眼内レンズおよびコンタクトレンズの一方である、請求項1に記載の眼用レンズ。
- 前面ベース湾曲面を有する前面と、後面ベース湾曲面を有する後面と、であって、前記前面ベース湾曲面及び前記後面ベース湾曲面が、
第1の焦点距離に対応する遠方焦点を規定するベース屈折力と、

前記遠方焦点は、前記眼内レンズのエネルギープロファイルの第1の強度ピークに関連し、
前記近方焦点は、前記眼内レンズの前記エネルギープロファイルの第2の強度ピークに関連し、
前記負の球面収差は、前記第1の強度ピークを前記第2の強度ピークに対して非対称に拡張し、
前記正の球面収差は、前記第2の強度ピークを前記第1の強度ピークに対して非対称に拡張する、
眼内レンズ。 - 正の球面収差の第2の大きさは、前記負の球面収差の前記第1の大きさ以下とされている、請求項12に記載の眼内レンズ。
- 前記回折構造は、光を前記遠方焦点と前記近方焦点との間の中間焦点に配光するように更に適合される、請求項12に記載の眼内レンズ。
- 前記回折構造は、前記中間焦点に対応する第3の球面収差をもたらし、
前記第3の球面収差の記号は正であり、
前記第3の球面収差は、第3の大きさを有し、該第3の大きさは、前記正の球面収差の前記第2の大きさよりも小さい、請求項14に記載の眼内レンズ。
