Description
The present invention relates to a mask manufacturing method and mask manufacturing apparatus for manufacturing a metal mask.
Conventionally, when manufacturing a metal mask used for vacuum deposition of an organic light-emitting layer in the manufacturing process of an organic EL device, a tension device is used to apply a constant tension to a strip-shaped metal mask sheet to reduce distortion and slack. There is known a mask manufacturing apparatus that affixes a metal mask sheet to a frame-shaped metal mask frame without a metal mask sheet (see, for example, Patent Document 1).
In the mask manufacturing apparatus described in Patent Document 1, when attaching the metal mask sheet to the metal mask frame, both sides of the metal mask frame are preliminarily attached to the metal mask frame in order to prevent deformation of the metal mask frame before and after attachment. The metal mask frame is deformed by pressing toward the opening of the . At this time, since the metal mask frame is pressed and deformed while it is placed on the table, the frictional force between the metal mask frame and the table and the stress caused by the frictional force of the metal mask frame cause the deformation. There was a problem that the metal mask frame did not have a desired shape and the metal mask could not be manufactured as designed.

The
FIG. 5 is a diagram for explaining the configuration of the

FIG. 6 is a block diagram showing the system configuration of the
When the
After deforming the
After stopping the injection of air by the
Further, when the amount of deformation of the
Next, a metal mask manufacturing method for manufacturing the
First, the
Next, the
Next, the
Next, the
Next, the
On the other hand, if it is determined in step S15 that the amount of deformation of the
Next, the
