Description
The disclosure herein relates to a fuel injection control system.
Conventionally, a fuel injection valve that opens with a valve opening force generated by energizing an electromagnetic coil to inject fuel, and a control device that controls the state of fuel injection by controlling the energization of the fuel injection valve. Are known. This type of control device controls the valve opening period by controlling the energization time of the fuel injection valve, thereby controlling the amount of fuel injected per valve opening (injection amount). The energization time is set to a length corresponding to the required injection amount.
The control device disclosed in
However, the rate of increase in drive current from the start of application of the boost voltage to the peak current set value varies depending on the temperature environment. As a result, the speed at which the opening force of the fuel injection valve rises is slowed, and the valve opening start timing varies. For example, if the valve-opening start timing is delayed, the actual valve-opening period will be shorter even if the energization time is the same, so the actual injection amount will be smaller than the required injection amount. As described above, in the conventional fuel injection control device, the injection amount varies depending on the temperature environment.
As a specific example of the temperature environment, the temperature of the fuel injection valve rises as the temperature of the internal combustion engine rises, and the electrical resistance of the electromagnetic coil and the like mounted on the fuel injection valve increases. In addition, the electric resistance of the portion through which the driving current flows increases in the control device as the electronic components of the control device generate heat. As illustrated in these examples, when the electrical resistance increases in a high-temperature environment, the drive current rises at a slow rate, and when the electrical resistance decreases in a low-temperature environment, the drive current rises at a high rate.
Here, if correction is made so that the energization time is lengthened as the temperature of the environment increases, the above-described problem of injection amount variation can be suppressed. However, the following problems cannot be resolved. That is, even if the energization time is corrected, the rate of increase of the drive current will still vary, so variations in the valve opening start timing (injection start timing) will not be suppressed. In addition, if the energization time is lengthened due to the high temperature environment, it becomes difficult to shorten the interval between injections when performing multi-stage injection in which fuel is injected multiple times in one combustion cycle.
One object of the disclosure is to provide a fuel injection control device capable of suppressing variations in the injection amount and the injection start timing while not interfering with the shortening of the inter-injection interval.
To achieve the above objectives, one aspect disclosed is:
A fuel injection control device for controlling fuel injection by controlling the energization state of a fuel injection valve (1),
a booster circuit (21, 31, 32, 33, 34) for boosting the battery voltage to a boost set value;
In order to start the valve opening operation of the fuel injection valve, the boost voltage boosted by the boost circuit is started to be applied to the fuel injection valve, and thereafter the current flowing through the fuel injection valve rises to the peak current set value (Ith). A peak current control unit (41) that terminates the application of the boost voltage with
A constant current control unit that applies the battery voltage to the fuel injection valve so that the current flowing through the fuel injection valve is maintained at a predetermined constant current in order to maintain the open state of the fuel injection valve after the application of the boost voltage is completed. (51) and
a peak detection unit (S40) for detecting a peak current driving period (Ta) during which the boost voltage is applied by the peak current control unit;
a boost set value changing unit (S50) that changes the boost set value such that the longer the peak current drive period detected by the peak detector, the higher the boost set value;
a voltage monitor (23) that detects the voltage on the high potential side of the fuel injection valve,
The peak detector is a fuel injection control device that detects the peak current driving period based on the change in voltage detected by the voltage monitor .
A long peak current drive period means that the speed at which the current (drive current) flowing through the fuel injection valve rises to the peak current set value is slow, and the valve opening start timing is delayed. Then, the fuel injection control device detects the peak current drive period, and changes the boost set value to be higher as the detected peak current drive period is longer. Therefore, when the rising speed of the drive current is slow and the valve opening start timing is delayed, the boost set value is changed to a higher value in the future fuel injection. As a result, the speed of increase of the drive current is changed to be faster, and the retarded valve opening start timing is corrected. Therefore, by changing the boost set value as described above, it is possible to suppress variations in the valve opening start timing.
As described above, according to the fuel injection control device described above, it is possible to suppress variations in the valve opening start timing, and as a result, variations in the injection amount are also suppressed. In addition, since it is not necessary to change the energization time of the fuel injection valve, it is possible to prevent the inter-injection interval shortening from being hindered.

(First embodiment)
A
The
The fixed core and movable core form a magnetic circuit. When the
The
The
In this embodiment, the processor (CPU 11) and
Specifically, the
The
The
The booster circuit is a circuit for boosting battery voltage Vb to generate boost voltage Vc, and has
The
The cylinder SW circuit has a cylinder switching element (cylinder SW61). When the
The constant current circuit has a constant current switching element (constant current SW51) and a
The
Hereinafter, changes in the drive current and the like due to such injection control will be described with reference to FIG. 2 . The upper part of FIG. 2 shows changes in the drive current, that is, changes in the drive current detected by the
The
After that, the
After that, the
After that, the
After that, the
As shown in the lower part of FIG. 2, the magnetic attractive force increases with the start of energization of the
A force required to open the control valve of the
In short, the
After the application of the boost voltage Vc is completed, the constant
Here, the
The peak detector detects the peak current drive period Ta based on the change in the high potential side voltage detected by the voltage monitor 23 described above. Specifically, the peak detection unit determines whether or not the high potential side voltage detected by the voltage monitor 23 is equal to or higher than the predetermined voltage Vth, and detects the peak current during the period during which the voltage is determined to be equal to or higher than the predetermined voltage Vth. It is detected as the driving period Ta.
The predetermined voltage Vth is set to a value lower than the boost voltage Vc and higher than the battery voltage Vb, as shown in the middle part of FIG. As a result, at the start of the peak current drive period Ta, the detected high-potential voltage changes from being less than the predetermined voltage Vth (zero) to being equal to or higher than the predetermined voltage Vth (boosted voltage Vc). . Also, at the end of the peak current drive period Ta, the detected high-potential side voltage changes from being determined to be equal to or higher than the predetermined voltage Vth (boost voltage Vc) to being determined to be less than the predetermined voltage Vth (battery voltage Vb). do.
As described above, the
Contrary to the present embodiment, when the boost set value is not changed, as indicated by the dotted line in the upper part of FIG. 2, the rate of increase in drive current during the peak current drive period Ta varies depending on the temperature environment. Then, as indicated by the dotted line in the lower part of FIG. 2, the rate of increase of the magnetic attraction force varies, so the timing at which the magnetic attraction force reaches the required valve opening force Nth varies. That is, the valve opening start timing to varies. For example, when the drive current increases at a slower rate, the magnetic attraction force increases at a slower rate, and the valve opening start timing to is delayed.
The energization time Tq, which is set according to the required injection amount, is set regardless of the environmental temperature. Therefore, as shown in the middle part of FIG. 3, the rate of increase in the drive current is increased due to the low temperature environment, and as a result, the peak current drive period Ta is shortened. Tb becomes long. Therefore, even if the energization time Tq is the same, the actual valve opening period becomes longer, so the actual injection amount with respect to the required injection amount increases. In addition, as shown in the lower part of FIG. 3, the increase speed of the drive current is slowed down due to the high temperature environment, and as a result, the peak current drive period Ta becomes longer. Tb is shortened. Therefore, even if the energization time Tq is the same, the actual valve opening period is shortened, so the actual injection amount is smaller than the required injection amount.
As a specific example of the temperature environment, the temperature of the
In contrast, in the present embodiment, the above-described peak detection section and boost set value changing section change the boost set value to a higher value as the peak current drive period Ta becomes longer. That is, the longer the peak current drive period Ta detected in the current injection, the higher the boost voltage Vc used in the next injection. Therefore, the rate of increase of the drive current for the next injection is corrected so as to approach the desired rate of increase. Therefore, as shown by the dotted line in FIG. 2, the speed of increase of the drive current is suppressed from varying depending on the temperature environment, and the timing at which the magnetic attractive force reaches the required valve opening force Nth is also suppressed from varying. That is, variation in the valve opening start timing to is suppressed.
The process of changing the boost set value shown in FIG. 4 is repeatedly executed by the
If it is determined that the power supply has been switched from off to on, in subsequent step S20, the boost set value changed in the previous setting change process in step S50 is reset to the initial value. In this way, the
In step S30, it is determined whether or not the
In the subsequent step S50 (boost set value changing unit), the longer the peak current drive period Ta detected in step S40, the higher the boost set value is changed, and the shorter the peak current drive period Ta, the lower the boost set value. change to Specifically, the step-up set value is changed by the processing of steps S51, S52, S53, and S54 described below.
First, in step S51, it is determined whether or not the peak current driving period Ta detected in step S40 is within a preset range. If it is determined that the peak current drive period Ta is within the predetermined range, the process of step S50 is ended without changing the boost set value. If it is determined that the peak current drive period Ta is not within the predetermined range and if an affirmative determination is made that the peak current drive period Ta is longer than the predetermined range in subsequent step S52, then in subsequent step S53, only a predetermined amount is set in advance. Increase boost setting. On the other hand, if a negative determination is made in step S52 that the peak current drive period Ta is not longer (shorter) than the predetermined range, then in subsequent step S54, the boost set value is decreased by a predetermined amount. The predetermined amount in step S53 and the predetermined amount in step S54 are set to the same size.
In short, even if the peak current drive period Ta detected this time has changed from the previous detection result, the boost set value is not changed if the value of the peak current drive period Ta is within a predetermined range. That is, the boost set value changing unit in step S50 changes the boost set value on the condition that the peak current driving period Ta detected this time in step S40 exceeds a predetermined range.
As described above, the
A long peak current drive period Ta means that the speed at which the drive current rises to the peak current set value Ith is slow, and the valve opening start timing to is delayed. Therefore, if the peak current drive period Ta is detected, it is possible to acquire physical quantities highly correlated with the valve opening start timing to and the injection amount without detecting the actual valve opening start timing to and the valve opening period (injection amount). I can say. Further, by adjusting the value of the boost voltage Vc according to the environmental temperature, it is possible to suppress variations in the valve opening start timing to and the injection amount due to changes in the rate of increase in the drive current due to the environmental temperature.
In view of these points, in the present embodiment, the peak current drive period Ta is detected, and the set value (boosted set value) of the boost voltage Vc is changed according to the detection result. It is possible to suppress the change in the rising speed. Therefore, it is possible to suppress variations in the valve opening start timing to and the injection amount due to the environmental temperature. At the same time, since it is not necessary to change the energization time Tq according to the environmental temperature, variations in injection amount and injection start timing can be suppressed while shortening the inter-injection interval in the case of multi-stage injection.
Further, in this embodiment, a
In the first method, the peak current drive period Ta is estimated based on the timing at which the
In the second method, the peak current drive period Ta is estimated based on the timing at which the drive current detected by the
Further, in the present embodiment, the boost set value changing unit changes the boost set value on condition that the peak current drive period Ta detected by the peak detector exceeds a predetermined range. Here, contrary to the present embodiment, if the boost set value is changed each time the peak current drive period Ta is detected even if the predetermined range is not exceeded, the arithmetic processing load of the
Further, in this embodiment, a reset unit is provided for resetting the boost set value when the
