Abstract
Description
図1は、本発明の実施の形態の植物由来の固形パラフィンの製造方法を示している。
図1に示すように、本発明の実施の形態の植物由来の固形パラフィンの製造方法は、まず、原料の植物油にアルコールを加え(ステップ11)、酸触媒によるエステル化反応、または塩基触媒によるエステル交換反応により、脂肪酸エステルを得る(ステップ12)。
比較例として、エステル化なしで固体パラフィンの製造を試みた。原料の植物油として、米ぬか脱臭留出物を用い、アルコールとして、エタノールを用いた。原料の米ぬか脱臭留出物0.5 kgに、エタノール0.3 kgを混合し、その混合液を6℃で一晩冷却した。これにより、およそ0.4 kgの固体が得られた。
Claims (4)
- パラフィンを含む 植物油にアルコールを加えて、酸触媒または塩基触媒の存在下で液体の脂肪酸エステルを得た後、その脂肪酸エステルを冷却し、析出した固体を分離して固形のパラフィンを得ることを特徴とする植物由来の固形パラフィンの製造方法。
- 固体の酸触媒または固体の塩基触媒の存在下で前記脂肪酸エステルを得ることを特徴とする請求項1記載の植物由来の固形パラフィンの製造方法。
- 前記植物油は、粗油、脱臭留出物、および脂肪酸油の少なくともいずれか1つを含むことを特徴とする請求項1または2記載の植物由来の固形パラフィンの製造方法。
- 前記植物油に含まれる脂肪酸に対する前記アルコールのモル等量が0.5~10となるよう、前記植物油に前記アルコールを加えることを特徴とする請求項1乃至3のいずれか1項に記載の植物由来の固形パラフィンの製造方法。
