Claims (15)
- データライン、センシングライン、およびカラーが異なる多数のサブピクセルをそれぞれ含んだ第1および第2ピクセルを含み、前記第1ピクセルが第1サブピクセルを含み、前記第2ピクセルが第2サブピクセルを含んだ表示パネル;
ディスプレイ駆動モードにおいて入力映像のピクセルデータをデータ電圧に変換して前記データラインに供給し、センシングモードにおいてセンシングデータとブラック階調データとを電圧に変換して前記データラインに供給するデータ駆動部;
前記表示パネルの第1および第2ピクセルにゲート信号を供給するゲート駆動部;および
前記センシングモードにおいて前記第1および第2サブピクセルの電気的特性をセンシングするダブルサンプリング装置を含み、
前記センシングモードは、
前記第1サブピクセルの電気的特性がセンシングされる第1センシング段階、前記第1センシング段階に先だって設定された第1初期化段階、前記第2サブピクセルの電気的特性がセンシングされる第2センシング段階、および前記第2センシング段階に先だって設定された第2初期化段階を含み、
前記第1初期化段階においては前記ブラック階調データに対応するブラック階調電圧が前記第1および第2サブピクセルに供給され、
前記第1センシング段階においては前記第1サブピクセルに前記センシングデータに対応するセンシングデータ電圧が供給され、前記第2サブピクセルに前記ブラック階調電圧が供給されて、前記センシングデータ電圧と前記ブラック階調電圧の減算結果により前記第1サブピクセルの電気的特性がセンシングされ、
前記第2初期化段階においては前記ブラック階調データに対応する前記ブラック階調電圧が前記第1および第2サブピクセルに供給され、
前記第2センシング段階においては前記第2サブピクセルに前記センシングデータ電圧が供給され、前記第1サブピクセルに前記ブラック階調電圧が供給されて、前記センシングデータ電圧と前記ブラック階調電圧の減算結果により前記第2サブピクセルの電気的特性がセンシングされ、
前記第1および第2初期化段階それぞれで、
前記ゲート信号の複数のパルスを連続して生成し、
前記ブラック階調電圧が前記第1および第2サブピクセルに供給され、
前記ゲート信号の複数のパルスのうちの1つは、前記ゲート信号の複数のパルスの他の1つに引き続き、所定時間後に生成される、表示装置。 - 前記第1サブピクセルと前記第2サブピクセルは同じカラーのサブピクセルであって、
前記第1および第2ピクセルの間で一つ以上の異なるカラーのサブピクセルを挟んで離隔した、請求項1に記載の表示装置。 - 前記第1および第2サブピクセルが互いに隣り合う、請求項1に記載の表示装置。
- 前記第1および第2サブピクセルそれぞれは発光素子を含み、
前記第1および第2サブピクセルの前記電気的特性は、
前記発光素子の動作点電圧またはしきい電圧と前記発光素子の容量である、請求項1に記載の表示装置。 - 前記第1および第2初期化段階それぞれが一回以上連続実施される、請求項1に記載の表示装置。
- 前記第1および第2センシング段階それぞれが一回以上連続実施される、請求項1または請求項5に記載の表示装置。
- 前記第1ピクセルに連結されて前記第1ピクセルの多数のサブピクセルに第1基準電圧を供給する第1センシングライン;および
前記第2ピクセルに連結されて前記第2ピクセルの多数のサブピクセルに第2基準電圧を供給する第2センシングラインをさらに含み、
前記ダブルサンプリング装置は、
前記第1センシングラインから入力された電流を積分する第1積分器;
前記第2センシングラインから入力された電流を積分する第2積分器;
前記第1積分器の出力電圧と前記第2積分器の出力電圧を減算する減算器;および
前記減算器の出力電圧をデジタルデータに変換してADCデータを出力するアナログ-デジタルコンバータを含む、請求項1に記載の表示装置。 - 前記第1および第2センシング段階それぞれで、
前記ゲート信号の第1パルスと第2パルスを連続して生成し、
前記第1パルスは前記第1および第2サブピクセルに供給される前記センシングデータ電圧またはブラック階調電圧に同期し、
前記第2パルスを生成する時、前記第1センシングラインを通じて前記第1積分器に電流が入力され、前記第2センシングラインを通じて前記第2積分器に電流が入力され、
前記第2パルスは前記第1パルスに引き続き、所定時間後に生成される、請求項7に記載の表示装置。 - 前記第1および第2センシング段階それぞれで、
前記第1および第2積分器が入力電流を累積して前記第1および第2サブピクセルの電気的特性をセンシングした出力電圧を出力する、請求項8に記載の表示装置。 - 前記ゲート信号の複数のパルスのうちの1つは、第4パルスであり、
前記ゲート信号の複数のパルスの1つに引き続き生成される他の1つは、第3パルスである、請求項9に記載の表示装置。 - データライン、センシングライン、およびカラーが異なる多数のサブピクセルをそれぞれ含んだ第1および第2ピクセルを含み、前記第1ピクセルが第1サブピクセルを含み、前記第2ピクセルが第2サブピクセルを含んだ表示パネル;
ディスプレイ駆動モードにおいて入力映像のピクセルデータをデータ電圧に変換して前記データラインに供給し、センシングモードにおいてセンシングデータとブラック階調データとを電圧に変換して前記データラインに供給するデータ駆動部;
前記表示パネルの第1および第2ピクセルにゲート信号を供給するゲート駆動部;および
前記センシングモードにおいて前記第1および第2サブピクセルの電気的特性をセンシングするダブルサンプリング装置;を含み、
前記センシングモードは、
前記第1サブピクセルの電気的特性がセンシングされる第1センシング段階、前記第1センシング段階に先だって設定された第1初期化段階、前記第2サブピクセルの電気的特性がセンシングされる第2センシング段階、および前記第2センシング段階に先だって設定された第2初期化段階を含み、
前記第1初期化段階においては前記ブラック階調データに対応するブラック階調電圧が前記第1および第2サブピクセルに供給され、
前記第1センシング段階においては前記第1サブピクセルに前記センシングデータに対応するセンシングデータ電圧が供給され、前記第2サブピクセルに前記ブラック階調電圧が供給されて、前記センシングデータ電圧と前記ブラック階調電圧の減算結果により前記第1サブピクセルの電気的特性がセンシングされ、
前記第2初期化段階においては前記ブラック階調データに対応する前記ブラック階調電圧が前記第1および第2サブピクセルに供給され、
前記第2センシング段階においては前記第2サブピクセルに前記センシングデータ電圧が供給され、前記第1サブピクセルに前記ブラック階調電圧が供給されて、前記センシングデータ電圧と前記ブラック階調電圧の減算結果により前記第2サブピクセルの電気的特性がセンシングされ、
前記第1および第2センシング段階それぞれで、
前記ゲート信号の第1パルスと第2パルスを連続して生成し、
前記第1パルスは前記第1および第2サブピクセルに供給される前記センシングデータ電圧またはブラック階調電圧に同期し、
前記第2パルスは前記第1パルスに引き続き、所定時間後に生成され、
前記第1および第2初期化段階それぞれで、
前記ゲート信号の第3パルスを生成し、
前記第1および第2サブピクセルに供給される前記ブラック階調電圧が供給され、
前記第3パルスが前記第1および第2パルスそれぞれのパルスより広いパルス幅を有する、表示装置。 - 前記ADCデータを利用して前記ピクセルデータを変調する補償部をさらに含む、請求項7に記載の表示装置。
- センシングモードにおいて第1初期化段階、第1センシング段階、第2初期化段階、および第2センシング段階を設定する段階;
ディスプレイ駆動モードにおいて入力映像のピクセルデータをデータ電圧に変換して変換されたデータ電圧を第1ピクセルに配置された第1サブピクセルと、第2ピクセルに配置された第2サブピクセルと、に供給する段階;
前記第1初期化段階においてブラック階調電圧を前記第1および第2サブピクセルに供給する段階;
前記第1センシング段階において前記第1サブピクセルにセンシングデータ電圧を供給し、前記第2サブピクセルに前記ブラック階調電圧を供給して、前記センシングデータ電圧と前記ブラック階調電圧の減算結果を利用して前記第1サブピクセルの電気的特性をセンシングする段階;
前記第2初期化段階において前記ブラック階調電圧を前記第1および第2サブピクセルに供給する段階;および
前記第2センシング段階において前記第2サブピクセルに前記センシングデータ電圧を供給し、前記第1サブピクセルに前記ブラック階調電圧を供給して、前記センシングデータ電圧と前記ブラック階調電圧の減算結果を利用して前記第2サブピクセルの電気的特性をセンシングする段階を含み、
前記第1および第2初期化段階それぞれで、
ゲート信号の複数のパルスを連続して生成し、
前記ブラック階調電圧が前記第1および第2サブピクセルに供給され、
前記ゲート信号の複数のパルスのうちの1つは、前記ゲート信号の複数のパルスの他の1つに引き続き、所定時間後に生成される、表示装置の駆動方法。 - 前記第1サブピクセルと前記第2サブピクセルは、同じカラーのサブピクセルであって、
一つ以上の異なるカラーのサブピクセルを挟んで互いに離隔した、請求項13に記載の表示装置の駆動方法。 - 前記第1および第2サブピクセルが互いに隣り合う、請求項13に記載の表示装置の駆動方法。
