Description
The present invention relates to a magnetic field detection coil that captures EMI phenomena caused by unwanted electromagnetic waves (plane waves) generated by electronic equipment radiated from cables and transmission lines, and an EMI antenna using this magnetic field detection coil.
Problems related to noise are becoming more diverse as the operating speed (processing speed) of electronic devices increases. It is becoming more and more difficult to confirm the effect. Therefore, for example, before using an EMC site, a magnetic field probe is brought close to an electronic device to detect leaked electromagnetic waves, and a simple measurement for taking countermeasures against leaked electromagnetic waves is performed.
For identifying the noise source, for example, a shielded loop antenna (hereinafter referred to as SLA), which is formed by winding a semi-rigid cable once in a circular shape, is often used.
The SLA is suitable for detecting magnetic fields induced by noise currents flowing in cables, wiring patterns, etc., and is characterized by its simple structure and ease of use.
On the other hand, there is a drawback that the sensitivity characteristics are significantly degraded in the frequency band of 10 [MHz] or less.
Further, when detecting the maximum magnetic field, it is necessary to arrange the loop surface of the SLA and the noise source such as the cable in parallel. Therefore, it is difficult to capture the maximum magnetic field caused by the noise current lacking in uniformity, and there is a drawback that the reproducibility of the measured value is low.
Therefore, the following techniques have been proposed.
For example, there is a magnetization probe in which a single-turn loop coil is formed by arranging a frame-shaped elongated electrode pattern in the insulating layer of a multilayer substrate, and this multilayer substrate and a signal processing circuit are connected by a coaxial cable ( For example, see Patent Document 1).
This magnetization probe is configured to detect noise currents generated in wiring patterns, cables, etc. by detecting the magnetic field induced by the noise currents, and is characterized by its simple structure and ease of use. If the impedance is configured to be 50 [Ω], the detection sensitivity will be high in the frequency band around 2 to 3 [GHz].
In addition, there is a current probe for detecting the current flowing through the cable under test, in which the loop coil, the transmission line, and the pad portion are formed of metal foil, and these are adhered to an insulating sheet (see, for example, Patent Document 2). .
For this current probe, as described above, prepare two probes each having a loop coil, a transmission line, and a pad attached to an insulating sheet. Measure the magnetic field generated concentrically. By arranging them in this way, the voltages generated in the loop coils are superimposed, that is, the mutually strengthened voltages can be output from the current probe to a measuring device such as a spectrum analyzer.
There is also a magnetic detection probe in which rectangular loop portions are formed by patterning an aluminum thin film on an insulating wafer (see, for example, Patent Document 3).
This magnetic detection probe has two loop-shaped portions arranged side by side on a single plane, and a differential circuit is connected to each loop-shaped portion. Further, an amplifier circuit for amplifying the output signal of the differential circuit is connected to this differential circuit.
Further, there is a magnetic flux leakage detection device that includes a pair of individual coils wound around a columnar supporting jig and a differential amplifier is connected to each individual coil (see, for example, Patent Document 4).
In this device, voltages generated in individual coils wound in opposite phases are input to differential amplifiers to separate noise components and leakage magnetic flux components, so that voltages representing noise components can be obtained. is configured to
The SLA of
The current probe of Patent Literature 2 is unsuitable for noise detection of unspecified and diverse frequencies, and has a problem that it cannot particularly detect low frequency bands.
The magnetic detection probe of Patent Document 3 has low sensitivity characteristics in the low frequency band, and the circuit configuration includes factors that cause amplification errors in the high frequency band, so there is a problem that it is not suitable for wideband measurement. .
In the leaked magnetic flux detection device of Patent Document 4, each individual coil has a self-resonant frequency, so the sensitivity characteristics greatly change at or around a predetermined frequency. Since the sensitivity characteristic changes greatly in this way, there is a problem that it is not suitable for broadband magnetic field measurement.
As described above, conventional probes and devices for detecting magnetic fields are structurally difficult to identify noise sources by adapting them to various objects such as cables and transmission lines. It was also difficult to ensure the reliability.
The present invention reduces the influence of external noise without using a shielding material, and can detect only the noise current flowing through the object to be measured, that is, the magnetic field component caused by the noise current, over a wide band with good reproducibility. Further, the slits of the base material are characterized by having an interval at which detection spatial resolution and sensitivity characteristics corresponding to the object to be measured can be obtained.

The inductance (L value) at 100 [kHz] is 14 [μH] for Coil A and 21 [μH] for Coil B.
The experimental results of FIG. 7 were obtained by connecting the coil A or coil B to the measuring device and each dump resistor as described above, and outputting the signal of each frequency from the generator or the like to the measurement target. Each voltage is indicated.
As a result of this experiment, the sensitivity of the coil A is higher than that of the coil B by about 5 [dB] at frequencies of 1 [MHz] or less.
When detecting a magnetic field component in such a frequency band, a coil having a large L value is theoretically advantageous, but more than the effect of the L value, the slit provided in the base material improves the magnetic field detection sensitivity. I understand.

Here, the
8A and 8B are explanatory diagrams showing experimental results regarding the sensitivity characteristics of the antenna A. FIG. FIG. 9 is an explanatory diagram showing experimental results regarding the sensitivity characteristics of the antenna C. As shown in FIG.
The experimental results of FIG. 8 are obtained by installing the coil A in the

The experimental result of FIG. 9 is that the coil C is installed in the
In the above measurement, as shown in FIG. 6B, the circular center point of the coil B is placed on the central axis of the
From the results shown in FIGS. 8 and 9, it can be seen that the noise current sensitivity characteristics are maintained as long as the
It can be seen that the sensitivity characteristics of the antenna A are stable in the frequency band shown in FIG. .
Compared to the non-rotated state, the antenna C shows no significant degradation in sensitivity characteristics even when rotated 45° to the left or right. Also, compared with antenna A, the sensitivity in the low frequency band is better. For these reasons, a cut portion (slit) is provided in the ring-shaped base material when highly sensitive measurement is required in a low frequency band while being resistant to positional displacement with respect to the measurement target 21 (the effect of positional displacement is suppressed). is found to be effective. In other words, by providing an appropriate slit in the ring-shaped substrate, it is possible to increase the degree of freedom in measurement.
As a control experiment, for example, a differential magnetic field probe (conventional product A) and a shielded loop antenna (conventional product B) were evaluated.
FIG. 10 is an explanatory diagram showing a schematic configuration of a conventional differential magnetic field probe (conventional product A).
FIG. 11 is an explanatory diagram showing evaluation results of a conventional differential magnetic field probe (conventional product A). The conventional product A exemplified here has a low frequency band unit and a high frequency band unit, which are configured to be used according to the measurement band. FIG. 11(a) shows the evaluation result of the low frequency band unit, and FIG. 11(b) shows the evaluation result of the high frequency band unit.
Conventional product A exemplified here has a rectangular
Conventional product A requires the preparation of two units, and requires more effort than antennas A and C to detect all signals (noise currents) within this band. Moreover, since it is necessary to replace the unit for detection, it is difficult to perceive the existence of the noise current all at once (identification of the noise source becomes difficult). Structurally, it is inevitable that the sensitivity changes due to positional displacement with respect to the object to be measured.
FIG. 12 is an explanatory diagram showing evaluation results of a conventional shielded loop antenna (conventional product B). The conventional product B exemplified here is configured such that a semi-rigid cable is wound one turn in a circle to form a loop, and the tip of the loop is brought into contact with the object to be measured.
Conventional product B has a measurement resolution that depends on the loop diameter. In order to increase this resolution, it is necessary to configure the loop diameter to be small, but this configuration has the characteristic of degrading the sensitivity characteristics.
FIG. 13 is an explanatory diagram showing the result of comparison between the features of the EMI antenna (development product) according to the present invention and the features of the conventional products A and B. FIG.
In the conventional product A, the low frequency band unit has reduced sensitivity in the high frequency band, and the high frequency band unit has reduced sensitivity in the low frequency band. Therefore, the deviation of the sensitivity characteristics over the entire frequency band evaluated for any unit is greater than those of the antennas A and C (development products) according to the present invention.
As mentioned above, it is difficult to improve both the measurement resolution and the sensitivity characteristics of the conventional product B. As shown in FIG. The in-band deviation is better than the conventional product B.
