Claims (17)
- 動物またはヒトの血管内に配置されて前記血管内で使用するための医療デバイスであり前記医療デバイスに近接または接触する組織の活動を刺激および検知、もしくは刺激または検知する医療デバイスであって、
複数のストラットを形成するフレーム構造であって、同フレーム構造は、低減されたプロファイルと前記フレーム構造の直径が増大する拡張されたプロファイルとの間で移動可能である、フレーム構造と、
同フレーム構造を形成する前記複数のストラットのうちの少なくとも1つが、支持材料上に導電性材料を含み、同導電性材料が前記ストラットの少なくとも一部分に沿って延びるとともに非導電性材料で覆われており、
前記ストラットの前記部分上の前記非導電性材料の開口部によって形成される少なくとも1つの電極であって、前記同少なくとも1つの電極は、前記低減されたプロファイルと前記拡張されたプロファイルとの間を移動中に前記少なくとも1つの電極の配置関係が維持されるように、接合ストラット間のクロスリンクに配置される、少なくとも1つの電極と、
前記フレーム構造の端部に位置し、前記フレーム構造から離間するように延びる、リード線であって、前記導電性材料は前記非導電性材料で覆われているとともに前記ストラットに沿って延びて電気的に前記少なくとも1つの電極と連結されるリード線と、
電子機器アセンブリと、を備え、
前記電子機器アセンブリは、(a)神経組織刺激回路および(b)神経活動記録回路のうちの少なくともいずれか一方を含み、
前記神経組織刺激回路は、
(i)電流および電圧のうちの少なくともいずれか一方の源と、
(ii)バッテリーおよびコンデンサのうちの少なくともいずれか一方、または充電およびエネルギー貯蔵のうちの少なくともいずれか一方の要素と、
(iii)スイッチマトリックスとのうちの1つ以上を含み、
前記神経活動記録回路は、
(i)増幅器と、
(ii)電源と、
(iii)スイッチマトリックスとのうちの1つ以上を含む
ことを特徴とする医療デバイス。 - 前記医療デバイスを外部デバイスに電気的に連結するように構成されたコネクタブロックをさらに備え、前記リード線は、前記フレーム構造から前記コネクタブロックまで延びることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の医療デバイス。
- 前記少なくとも1つの電極が、前記ストラットの隣接領域よりも大きな表面積を含むことを特徴とする請求項1に記載の医療デバイス。
- 前記少なくとも1つの電極が複数の電極を含むことを特徴とする請求項1に記載の医療デバイス。
- 前記複数の電極は、前記フレーム構造上に線形パターン、正弦曲線パターン、および円周パターンからなる群から選択されるパターンで整列していることを特徴とする請求項4に記載の医療デバイス。
- 前記複数の電極は、各接続ストラットの各クロスリンクに配置されていることを特徴とする請求項4に記載の医療デバイス。
- 前記少なくとも1つのストラットが第1のストラットを含み、前記フレーム構造を形成する第2のストラットをさらに含み、前記第2のストラットが、支持材料上の導電性材料を含み、同導電性材料が、前記第2のストラットの少なくとも一部分に沿って延びるとともに非導電性材料で覆われており、前記第1のストラットの前記導電性材料は、前記第2のストラットの前記導電性材料から電気的に絶縁されており、前記第2のストラットの前記導電性材料は前記ストラットに沿って延びて前記リード線に電気的に連結しており、
前記医療デバイスが前記第2のストラットの前記部分上の前記非導電性材料の開口部によって形成される少なくとも1つの第2の電極を備えることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の医療デバイス。 - 前記フレーム構造が、管状またはC字状にあることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の医療デバイス。
- 移植中の血管穿刺の危険性を低減するために、前記デバイスの先端に連結される非外傷性緩衝器を含むことを特徴とする請求項1に記載の医療デバイス。
- 前記電極が、前記電極と前記血管との間の接触を強化するために、前記接合ストラットの接合部または頂点に配置されることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の医療デバイス。
- 請求項1に記載の前記医療デバイスと通信するように構成される制御部とをさらに備え、同制御部が、
(i)前記デバイスの近位の媒体の活動を表すデータを前記デバイスから受信し、
(ii)制御信号を生成し、
(iii)同制御信号を装置に送信する
ように構成されることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の医療デバイス。 - 前記制御部は、動物の皮膚の下に挿入されるように構成されていることを特徴とする請求項11に記載の医療デバイス。
- 前記装置は、

電気的または電気機械的デバイスとのうち少なくとも1つ以上を含むことを特徴とする請求項11に記載の医療デバイス。 - 前記デバイスと前記制御部との間でデータを送信する通信コンジットをさらに備えることを特徴とする請求項11に記載の医療デバイス。
- 前記制御部は、デバイス制御信号を生成するとともに前記デバイスが前記媒体を刺激可能なように前記デバイス制御信号を前記デバイスに送信するようにさらに構成されることを特徴とする請求項11に記載の医療デバイス。
- 動物またはヒトの血管内に配置されて前記血管内で使用するための医療デバイスであり前記医療デバイスに近接または接触する組織の活動を刺激および検知、もしくは刺激または検知する医療デバイスであって、
