Description
本開示は、水溶性単位用量物品に関するものであり、複数のこのような物品を含む。複数のこのような物品は、少なくとも第1の物品及び第2の物品を含んでもよい。複数のこのような物品は、第1の物品と第2物品との間に組成の差異を含んでもよい。複数のこのような物品は、第1の物品と第2物品との間に物理的な差異を含んでもよい。物品及びそれらの間の差異について、以下でより詳細に記載する。
プライ10、12は、1つ以上の繊維要素20を含む繊維構造体の形態であってもよい。繊維要素20は、互いに関係していてもよく、例えば、不織布の様式において交絡及び/又はレイダウンされ、繊維構造体を形成してもよい。繊維構造体は、構造体内及び/又は構造体上に粒子を含んでもよい。繊維構造体は、均質、層状、単一、ゾーン形、又は他の点で望むとおりであってもよく、異なる活性剤が様々な前述の部分を画定する。
プライ10、12及び/又は繊維構造体は、繊維要素20を含んでもよい。繊維要素は、水溶性であってもよい。繊維要素20は、1つ以上のフィラメント形成材料、界面活性剤などの1つ以上の活性剤、又はこれらの組み合わせを含んでもよい。活性剤は、意図される使用条件に繊維要素及び/又は繊維要素を含む繊維構造体がさらされたときなどに、繊維要素から放出可能であってもよい。界面活性剤などの活性剤を含む繊維要素は、このような要素が、活性剤のより効率的な充填をもたらすこと、及びフィラメント形成材料及び/又はキャリアに対する配合余地減少を少なくすることから、好ましい。界面活性剤は、それがもたらすことのできる洗浄効果により、特に好ましいことがある。
繊維要素は、1つ以上のフィラメント形成材料を含んでもよい。フィラメント形成材料は、紡糸プロセスによってなどでフィラメントを製造するのに好適な特性を呈すポリマーを製造することができるポリマー又はモノマーなど、任意の好適な材料であってもよい。フィラメント形成材料は、合成のものであっても天然由来であってもよい。
繊維要素は、1つ以上の活性剤を含んでもよい。また、1つ以上の活性剤は、プライ/繊維構造体内若しくはその上に、及び/又は粒子内に存在してもよい。活性剤は、繊維要素及び/又は粒子及び/又は繊維構造体自体以外の何かに効果をもたらすように、例えば、繊維要素及び/又は粒子及び/又は繊維構造体の外部の環境に効果をもたらすように設計及び意図される添加剤の部類である。例えば、活性剤は、処理を必要とする表面に効果をもたらすように選択されてもよい。
繊維要素は、伸長助剤を含んでもよい。伸長助剤の非限定的な例としては、ポリマー、他の伸長助剤、及びこれらの組み合わせを挙げることができる。高分子量の伸長助剤は、伸長溶融粘度を高めメルトフラクチャーを低減する能力を有するので、使用されてもよい。
本開示の物品1は、粒子30を含んでもよい。本明細書で使用するとき、「粒子」は、粉末、顆粒、封入物、マイクロカプセル、及び/又はプリルなどの固体添加剤を意味する。粒子は、本明細書に記載の中央粒径試験方法に従って測定されるとき、2000μm以下の中央粒径を示してもよい。粒子は、本明細書に記載の中央粒径試験方法に従って測定されるとき、約1μm~約2000μm、約1μm~約1600μm、約1μm~約800μm、約5μm~約500μm、約10μm~約300μm、約10μm~約100μm、約10μm~約50μm、及び/又は約10μm~約30μmの中央粒径を示してもよい。粒子の形状は、球状、棒状、皿状、管状、正方形、矩形、円盤状、星状、繊維状であってもよく、規則的な形状又は不規則なランダム形状を有してもよい。
複数の物品は、少なくとも第3の物品を更に含んでもよい。第3の物品は、実質的に上記の物品のように構築されてもよい。例えば、第3の物品は、少なくとも第1のプライを含み、第1のプライは複数の繊維要素を含み、各繊維要素は少なくとも1種のフィラメント形成材料と、任意に、界面活性剤とを含んでもよい。
複数の物品は、第1の物品と第2の物品と(任意に、第3の物品と)の間に組成の差異を含んでもよい。換言すれば、本開示の第1の物品及び第2の物品(及び任意に、第3の物品)には、組成の差異があってもよい。典型的には、本明細書で使用するとき、「組成に」及び/又は「組成の」は、配合の差異、例えば、製造時における特定の濃度での特定の成分の存在(又は非存在)に関連している。典型的には、これらの用語は、保管又は輸送時に湿度又は熱にさらされるうちに生じる変化などの、製造プロセス後に生じることがある変化に関連することを意図するものではない。

本開示の物品は、1つ以上の容器200内に包装されていてもよい。好適な容器200としては、タブ、箱、及び/又は柔軟なバッグを挙げることができる。容器は、任意に、取り外し可能なトレイ及び/又は内部バッグ若しくは包みを含んでもよい。容器200は、例えば再閉可能な蓋201で再封止可能であってもよい。
本開示は、表面を処理するプロセスに関する。処理するのに好適な表面としては、硬質表面(すなわち、キッチンのカウンター、バスタブ、トイレ、便器、シンク、床、壁、歯、車、窓、鏡、食器)及び/又は軟質表面(すなわち、布地、毛髪、皮膚、カーペット、作物、植物)を挙げることができる。
本開示は、水溶性単位用量物品の製造プロセスに関する。広く、プロセスは、図12に示されるように、水溶性ウェブ100を準備する工程と、ウェブ100を例えばモザイク状パターン102に切断して、複数の水溶性単位用量物品1を形成する工程と、を含んでもよい。
本開示の具体的に想到される組み合わせを、ここで以下のアルファベットを付した項に記載する。これらの組み合わせは、事実上例示的なものであり、限定的であることを意図したものではない。
厚さ試験方法
繊維構造体の厚さ及び/又は物品の高さは、ProGage Thickness Tester(Thwing-Albert Instrument Company(West Berlin,NJ))を用いて、2.00インチの円形プレッシャーフット直径(3.14インチ2の面積)、15.5g/cm2の圧力で測定する。五つ(5つ)のサンプルは、各切断サンプルがプレッシャーフット面よりも大きいサイズであるように、繊維構造体のサンプルを切断し、しわ、折り目、及び明らかな欠陥のないように調製する。物品が、プレッシャーフットの直径よりも小さい長さ又は幅を有する場合、より小さい直径のプレッシャーフットを使用してもよく、一方では、15.5g/cm2の圧力が依然として適用されるように適切な調整を行う。個々のサンプルは、サンプルをプレッシャーフットの下の中心に置くように、又は物品の最大高さの位置の中心に置くように、アンビル上に配置する。0.03in/秒で15.5g/cm2の圧力が加わるまでプレッシャーフットを下降させる。3秒の滞留時間後に読み取りを行い、プレッシャーフットを上昇させる。残りの4つのサンプルについて同様の方法で測定を繰り返す。厚さ又は物品高さは、5つのサンプルの平均厚さとして計算し、0.01mm単位で報告する。
走査型電子顕微鏡(SEM)(Scanning Electron Microscope)又は光学顕微鏡、及び画像解析ソフトウェアを使用して、離散繊維要素又は繊維構造体内の繊維要素の直径を求める。繊維要素を測定のために適切に拡大するように、200~10,000倍の倍率を選択する。SEMを使用する場合には、電子ビーム中での繊維要素の帯電及び振動を避けるために、サンプルを金又はパラジウム化合物でスパッタリングする。SEM又は光学顕微鏡を用いて得られた画像(モニタースクリーン上)から繊維要素の直径を測定するにはマニュアルの手順を用いる。マウス及びカーソルツールを使用して、ランダムに選択された繊維要素の縁部を探し、その後、その幅(すなわち、その点における繊維要素の方向に対して垂直な)にわたって繊維要素の他方の縁部まで測定する。目盛り付きの較正された画像解析ツールにより、μm単位で実際の読取値を取得するための目盛りが提供される。繊維構造体内の繊維要素については、SEM又は光学顕微鏡を用いて、繊維構造体のサンプル全体からいくつかの繊維要素をランダムに選択する。繊維構造体の少なくとも2つの部分を切り取り、この方法で試験する。統計解析のために、このような測定を全部で少なくとも100回実施し、次いで、全てのデータを記録する。記録したデータを用いて、繊維要素の直径の平均値(平均)、繊維要素の直径の標準偏差、及び繊維要素の直径の中央値を計算する。
この試験方法を使用して、中央粒径を求める必要があり、この粒径は、本明細書で使用するとき、体積加重平均粒径を指す。

Claims (13)
- 家庭用ケア製品又はパーソナルケア製品に用いられる複数の水溶性単位用量物品であって、互いに分離された、少なくとも第1の物品及び第2の物品を含み、各物品が少なくとも第1のプライを含み、前記第1のプライは複数の繊維要素を含み、各繊維要素は、少なくとも1種のフィラメント形成材料と、任意に、界面活性剤とを含み、前記複数の水溶性単位用量物品は、前記第1の物品と第2の物品との間に組成の差異を含み、前記第1の物品と第2の物品との間に物理的な差異を含み、前記物理的な差異が、前記組成の差異又は前記第1の物品と第2の物品を互いに組み合わせて使用することを表すように構成されている、複数の水溶性単位用量物品。
