Claims (7)
- 細長い室を画成する本体を含む溶融金属ポンプであって、前記細長い室は、シャフト及びインペラーを受け入れるように構成され、前記本体は、耐火材で構成され、前記細長い室は、シャフトが通る開口上部及び底部流入口を含み、前記底部流入口は、前記インペラーを受け入れる軸受け面を含み、前記インペラーは、前記底部流入口内に又はそれに隣接して配置され、前記本体は、前記細長い室に隣接した細長い通路を含み、開口が前記細長い通路と前記細長い室との間の流体連通を提供し、前記開口は、前記細長い室との交差点が前記インペラーの流出口よりも鉛直方向上方に位置するように配置され、前記細長い通路は、溶融金属を前記細長い室の細長い軸線と少なくとも実質的に垂直に差し向けるように構成された排出溝と流体連通し、前記インペラーは、溶融金属を前記細長い室及び前記細長い通路内で前記開口よりも上方の高さまで上昇させるように回転する、溶融金属ポンプ。
- 前記細長い通路は、前記細長い室と少なくとも実質的に平行である、請求項1の溶融金属ポンプ。
- 前記細長い通路の最も大きい横断面は、前記細長い室の最も大きい横断面より小さい、請求項1の溶融金属ポンプ。
- 前記細長い室及び前記細長い通路の各々は少なくとも実質的に円筒形であり、前記細長い通路の直径は、前記細長い室の直径よりも小さい、請求項1の溶融金属ポンプ。
- 前記開口は、前記開口上部よりも前記底部流入口により近くに配置される、請求項1の溶融金属ポンプ。
- 前記開口の最も大きい横断面は、前記細長い通路の最も小さい横断面よりも小さい、請求項5の溶融金属ポンプ。
- 容器から溶融金属を移送する方法であって、溶融金属ポンプを溶融金属の浴の中に配置し、前記溶融金属ポンプは、細長い室を画成する耐火材本体を含み、前記細長い室は、開口上部からシャフト及びインペラーを受け入れ、かつ前記インペラーを配置するように構成され、前記インペラーは、前記細長い室への流入口内に又はそれに隣接して配置され、前記耐火材本体は、前記細長い室に隣接した細長い通路を含み、前記インペラーよりも上方の開口は、前記細長い通路と前記細長い室との間の流体連通を提供し、前記細長い通路は、溶融金属を前記細長い室の細長い軸線と少なくとも垂直に差し向けるように構成された排出溝と流体連通しており、溶融金属が前記溶融金属ポンプから前記排出溝を経て選択的に排出されるように、前記インペラーの回転で、溶融金属を前記細長い室及び前記細長い通路内で前記開口よりも上方の高さまで上昇させる、溶融金属を移送する方法。
