Claims (14)
- 多焦点ディスプレイデバイスであって、
2つ以上の色を有する画像を生成するように構成されたディスプレイ要素と、
焦点調整可能レンズと、
フレーム期間内の時間期間の間に前記焦点調整可能レンズの焦点を焦平面に調整し、前記画像を生成するために前記時間期間にわたって画素について提供されるビット列に従って前記ディスプレイ要素を制御するように構成されたコントローラであって、前記ビット列が、前記2つ以上の色の各色について、照明強度を示す部分列を含み、前記照明強度が異なる重み付けを有する複数のビットで表される、コントローラと、
を備え、
各色について、前記部分列の最初のビットも最後のビットも前記部分列の最上位ビットでなく、
前記2つ以上の色に対応する部分列のビットが交互配置され、前記交互配置されたビット列において前記部分列の偶数ビットの色の順序が前記部分列の奇数ビットの色の順序と逆である、多焦点ディスプレイデバイス。 - 前記部分列の前記最初のビットおよび前記最後のビットが、最も低い重み付けから2つの重み付けを有する、請求項1に記載の多焦点ディスプレイデバイス。
- 前記部分列は、前記部分列の前記最初のビットから前記最上位ビットへ重み付けにおいて単調に増加し、前記部分列の前記最上位ビットから前記最後のビットへ重み付けにおいて単調に減少する、請求項2に記載の多焦点ディスプレイデバイス。
- 前記2つ以上の色が、緑色と、赤または青色とを含み、前記部分列の前記最初のビットまたは前記最後のビット、または前記最初のビットおよび前記最後のビットの両方が、赤または青色のためのものである、請求項1から3のいずれか一項に記載の多焦点ディスプレイデバイス。
- 偶数ビットが、前記部分列における奇数ビットの順番に対して逆の順番で前記部分列において配置される、請求項1から4のいずれか一項に記載の多焦点ディスプレイデバイス。
- 前記コントローラが、高い重み付けを有するビットに前記時間期間の開始または終了からの時間におけるオフセットを提供するように構成された、請求項1から5のいずれか一項に記載の多焦点ディスプレイデバイス。
- 複数のビットグループを記憶する記憶装置をさらに備え、前記ビット列がこれらのビットグループの連結であり、
前記コントローラが、前記時間期間の第1のセクションの間に第1のビットグループに従って、前記時間期間の第2のセクションの間に第2のビットグループに従って、前記ディスプレイ要素を制御するように構成された、請求項1から6のいずれか一項に記載の多焦点ディスプレイデバイス。 - 前記ディスプレイ要素が、デジタル・マイクロミラー・デバイス(DMD)または液晶オンシリコン(LCOS)を備え、
前記ビット列の各ビットが前記DMDまたは前記LCOSを照明するための光の強度を決定し、
より低い重み付けのビットが前記光のより低い照明強度に関係する、請求項1から7のいずれか一項に記載の多焦点ディスプレイデバイス。 - 異なる色を用いて前記DMDまたはLCOSを照明するための前記光を提供するように構成された色要素をさらに備え、
前記ビット列の各ビットが前記光に提供される色に関係する、請求項8に記載の多焦点ディスプレイデバイス。 - 前記ディスプレイ要素によって少なくとも18ビットカラー画像を生成するために、前記ビット列が、赤、緑、および青色の各々について、少なくとも6個のビットを含む、請求項1から9のいずれか一項に記載の多焦点ディスプレイデバイス。
- 前記コントローラが、前記焦点調整可能レンズの焦点を、フレーム期間の間に異なるインデックスの複数の焦平面に選択的に調整し、前記時間期間の間にこれらの焦平面のうちの1つに調整するように構成された、請求項1から10のいずれか一項に記載の多焦点ディスプレイデバイス。
- 前記コントローラが、前記時間期間の間に焦平面のインデックスに依存して、または、以前のまたは次の時間期間の間に前記焦平面のインデックスに依存して、異なるビット列に従って前記ディスプレイ要素を制御するように構成された、請求項11に記載の多焦点ディスプレイデバイス。
- フレーム期間内の時間期間の間に焦点調整可能レンズの焦点を焦平面に調整し、2つ以上の色を有する画像を生成するために前記時間期間にわたって画素について提供されるビット列に従ってディスプレイ要素を制御するステップを備え、前記ビット列が、前記2つ以上の色の各色について、照明強度を示す部分列を含み、前記照明強度が異なる重み付けを有する複数のビットで表され、
各色について、それぞれの色の前記部分列の最初のビットも最後のビットも前記部分列の最上位ビットでなく、
前記2つ以上の色に対応する部分列のビットが交互配置され、前記交互配置されたビット列において前記部分列の偶数ビットの色の順序が前記部分列の奇数ビットの色の順序と逆である、多焦点ディスプレイを提供するための方法。 - 請求項1から12のいずれか一項に記載の多焦点ディスプレイデバイスを制御するためのプログラムコードを備えるコンピュータプログラム。
