Claims (15)
- 複数のノズルであって、その各ノズルが、
射出チャンバと、
開口部と、
前記射出チャンバ内に配設された流体アクチュエータと
を含む、複数のノズルと、
基板内に形成された複数の通路であって、複数対の通路を含み、その各対の通路が、前記射出チャンバから及び該射出チャンバへと流体を配送する、複数の通路と、
前記基板の背面に形成された複数の内蔵されたクロスチャネルであって、該複数の内蔵されたクロスチャネルの各々が、その一端に入口を含み、及びその他端に出口を含み、並びに前記入口と前記出口との間で少なくとも一対の通路に流体的に接続されており、前記入口を通って前記内蔵されたクロスチャネル内へ流入した流体が、前記少なくとも一対の通路とそれに対応する射出チャンバとを通過することなく前記内蔵されたクロスチャネルを通って前記出口へと流れ、及び前記流体の一部が、前記内蔵されたクロスチャネルから、前記少なくとも一対の通路とそれに対応する射出チャンバとを通って前記内蔵されたクロスチャネルへと戻る、複数の内蔵されたクロスチャネルと
を備えている、流体射出ダイ。 - 前記複数の通路が、前記基板の孔が形成された層内に形成される、請求項1に記載の流体射出ダイ。
- 1つの前記内蔵されたクロスチャネルが、前記複数の通路の複数の異なるサブグループの複数の行に流体を配送する、請求項1又は請求項2に記載の流体射出ダイ。
- 前記複数の内蔵されたクロスチャネルが複数のサブグループへとグループ化され、該複数の内蔵されたクロスチャネルの各サブグループが、前記複数の通路の複数の異なるサブグループのうちの1つのサブグループの複数の行へ流体を配送する、請求項1又は請求項2に記載の流体射出ダイ。
- 前記複数の通路の前記複数の異なるサブグループが複数の異なる色の流体に対応する、請求項4に記載の流体射出ダイ。
- 各ノズルが、対応する射出チャンバとの間で流体を案内するチャネルを更に含み、
前記ノズルに対応する前記チャネル及び前記通路が微小再循環ループを形成する、
請求項1ないし請求項5の何れか一項に記載の流体射出ダイ。 - 1行の前記通路が、同一の前記内蔵されたクロスチャネルに対応する、請求項1又は請求項2に記載の流体射出ダイ。
- 1行の前記通路が、複数の前記内蔵されたクロスチャネルに対応する、請求項1又は請求項2に記載の流体射出ダイ。
- 前記内蔵されたクロスチャネルを通る流体の流れが、前記通路内の流体の流れに対して垂直である、請求項1ないし請求項8の何れか一項に記載の流体射出ダイ。
- 前記基板はシリコン基板である、請求項1ないし請求項9の何れか一項に記載の流体射出ダイ。
- 前記内蔵されたクロスチャンネルの各々は、前記基板、蓋基板、および前記基板の裏側に形成されたリブによって画定される、請求項1ないし請求項10の何れか一項に記載の流体射出ダイ。
- ハウジングと、
基体上に堆積される流体を収容するための前記ハウジング内に配設されたリザーバと、
前記ハウジング上に配設された複数の流体射出ダイと
を備えたプリンティング流体カートリッジであって、
前記複数の流体射出ダイの各流体射出ダイが、
複数のノズルであって、その各ノズルが、
射出チャンバと、
開口部と、
前記射出チャンバ内に配設された流体アクチュエータと
を含む、複数のノズルと、
チャネル基板内に形成された複数の通路であって、複数対の通路を含み、その各対の通路が、前記射出チャンバから及び該射出チャンバへと流体を配送する、複数の通路と、
前記チャネル基板の背面に形成された複数の内蔵されたクロスチャネルであって、該複数の内蔵されたクロスチャネルの各々が、その一端に入口を含み、及びその他端に出口を含み、並びに前記入口と前記出口との間で前記複数の通路のうちのそれぞれのグループをなす複数の通路に流体的に接続されており、前記入口を通って前記内蔵されたクロスチャネル内へ流入した流体が、前記それぞれのグループをなす前記複数の通路とそれに対応する射出チャンバとを通過することなく前記内蔵されたクロスチャネルを通って前記出口へと流れ、及び前記流体の一部が、前記内蔵されたクロスチャネルから、前記それぞれのグループをなす前記複数の通路とそれに対応する射出チャンバとを通って前記内蔵されたクロスチャネルへと戻る、複数の内蔵されたクロスチャネルと
を含む、プリンティング流体カートリッジ。 - 各ノズルが更に、
対応する射出チャンバとの間で流体を案内するチャネルと、
該チャネルを介して流体を移動させる二次流体アクチュエータと
を含み、
前記ノズルに対応する前記チャネル及び前記通路が、該ノズルの微小再循環ループを形成する、請求項12に記載のプリンティング流体カートリッジ。 - 前記プリンティング流体カートリッジが、基体幅プリントバーであり、
前記複数の流体射出ダイが、複数のプリントヘッドへとグループ化され、該複数のプリントヘッドが、流体が堆積される前記基体の幅にわたって互い違いに配置されている、
請求項12又は請求項13に記載のプリンティング流体カートリッジ。 - 前記内蔵されたクロスチャンネルの各々は、前記チャネル基板、蓋基板、および前記チャネル基板の裏側に形成されたリブによって画定される、請求項12ないし請求項14の何れか一項に記載のプリンティング流体カートリッジ。
