Description
It relates to a golf tee in which, when a ball is shot, a support column on which the ball is placed flutters as the ball moves, creating a space for the golf club to swing through.
Conventionally, golf tees (hereinafter referred to as "tees") are often used in which a leg having a sharp tip and a top on which a ball is placed are integrated. However, this type of tee has a problem that when the ball is hit, resistance is generated on the contact surface between the tee and the ball, and the flight distance is reduced by that amount. The tee is used to pierce the ground and place the ball on the opposite top when shooting the first shot. When piercing the ground, hold the ball and tee with your hand and apply downward force.
For that purpose, it is desirable for the tee to reduce the resistance between the tee and the ball and extend the flight distance. At the same time, it is more desirable if the ball can be easily pierced into the ground with the ball placed on it.
The tee disclosed in
The tee described in
Here, the ball bearing portion is a support for the ball at the time of a tee shot, and the ball contact surface is a support for the ball at the time of pressing the ground. When the tee is pierced into the ground through the ball, the ball bearing portion is pushed open and the ball is pierced by applying downward pressure to the ball in a state where the ball is in contact with the ball contact surface.
However, in the tee described in
That is, since the ball contact surface is also in constant contact with the ball, it becomes a resistance at the time of hitting and the flight distance is reduced. In order to reduce this resistance, the fixing member and the movable member are slid during the tee shot, and the ball is supported only by the ball bearing portion as much as possible. However, giving it mobility in this way results in a complicated structure and is not suitable for practical use of inexpensive products such as tees. In addition, since the support columns that support the ball during the tee shot are integrally molded, there is a limit to lengthening the support columns due to the restrictions of the mold.
In view of these problems, the applicant first separated the outer strut and the inner strut, specialized in the function of placing the ball on the outer strut at the time of a shot, and placed the tee on the inner strut on the ground. We have proposed a tee specializing in the function of receiving pressure when piercing the ball (Patent Document 2).
The tee described in
However, in
Therefore, it is also an object of the present invention to mass-produce tees, which are provided with thin and flexible columns and enable good swinging of clubs and increase flight distance, with a small number of parts, easy work, and at low cost. It is.
In order to achieve the above object, the golf tee according to
Equipped with a tee body and a ball mounting part,
The tee body is composed of a leg with a sharp tip and an upper part of the body that covers the ball mounting portion.
In the ball mounting portion, the ball supporting portion and the ball holding portion are integrally molded.
The ball support portion is provided with a plurality of substantially upright columns arranged at equal intervals on the circumference centered on the axis of the tee and made of a flexible and strong material.
Inside the plurality of columns, the ball holding portion is provided in a bottomed cylindrical shape.
The length of the plurality of columns is about 10 mm, the ball holding portion is raised by 2 to 4 mm from the root portion of the column, and the upper end portion of the ball holding portion is from the tip end portion of the column. Is also at a low position of about 6 to 8 mm,
It is characterized in that a space of about 6 to 8 mm is generated between the ball supported by the tip end portion of the support column and the ball holding portion at the time of tee-up.
The ball holding portion is provided in order to receive the pressure applied through the ball when the tee is inserted. As a result, the sole role of each strut was to support the ball during the shot.
By integrating the ball support part and the ball holding part, not only a part of the columns receives the impact at the time of shot, but the impact is dispersed to the other columns and the ball holding part, so that the impact resistance is improved. It will improve dramatically.
Moreover, since the tee is completed simply by fitting the ball mounting portion into the upper part of the tee body, the work does not require skill, so that it can be manufactured in large quantities at low cost.
The invention according to
As a result, the strut that flutters when the ball is shot falls toward a cut or a recess, so that the strut can be less damaged.
Since the support column of the present invention does not have a role of supporting the ball at the time of piercing, it is sufficient to play only a role of supporting the ball at the time of a shot.
Such a support column of the present invention shall satisfy the following four conditions.
・ Long ・ Flexible ・ Not curved (straight)
-Since these conditions are provided to prevent slipping, it is possible to realize the "fluttering" at the time of a shot described in the following embodiment.
The present invention, which is characterized by having a plurality of columns and a ball holding portion that is raised inside the columns, has the following effects. In other words, the pillars are specialized for the function of just placing the ball on the shot. As a result, the columns can be made longer and thinner than before, so if you select a soft and non-slip material and support the ball in an almost upright position without bending, the columns will flutter and the columns will tilt as the ball moves. The club will be able to swing through the space.
In the following description, the term "upper" when the expression "upper" or "upper surface" is used means the functional upper part of the tee. That is, the tee is used by piercing the ground or turf with one tip and placing a golf ball on the other tip. It is expressed as "below".
As shown in FIG. 1, the

Here, the significance of the ball holding portion of the present invention will be described.
Many golfers grab both the tee and the ball with the ball on the tee and stab the tee into the ground. In the conventional type of tee that supports the ball by placing it on a support, the support supports the ball at the time of a shot and also supports the ball when the tee is stabbed into the ground. Therefore, the strut must have a certain level of strength, and there is a limit to reducing the resistance at the time of shot. However, in the present invention, since only the ball holding portion receives the pressure when pushing the tee, the support column may be specialized in the function of supporting the ball at the time of shot. As a result, the stanchions can be made longer and thinner, and the stanchions that flutter like turf grass at the time of shot can be realized.

In
The use of the
First, the usage when the

Next, the usage at the time of tee-up will be described with reference to FIGS. 5 and 6.

The tee of the present invention can realize the above-mentioned "fluttering" because the
By adding the conditions of "not curved" and "non-slip" to these, "fluttering" could be realized.
“Non-curved” stanchions have the following advantages:
If the strut is straight and not curved, the ball at the time of shot will be supported by the tip of the strut. The tip of the strut has a circular shape, a four-sided shape, or the like, and the tip extends from the outer circumference to the side surface of the strut at approximately 90 degrees. This angular outer peripheral portion is the contact point with the ball. Since the material of the strut is soft resin, when the ball moves from the strut due to a shot, the corner of the tip drags the ball, causing "fluttering" of the strut.
If it is curved, the ball will come into contact with the inside of the stanchion, which is open outwards, rather than at the corners of the stanchion, without "fluttering".
If the shape of the strut is curved, there is also a problem that the bending is promoted by repeated use and it becomes difficult to support the ball.
“Non-slip” stanchions have the following advantages:
If it is slippery, that is, if the coefficient of friction is small, even if the ball moves on a stationary strut, the tip of the strut and its vicinity do not start moving. If the support is made non-slip by using a material with a large coefficient of friction or by roughening the surface of the tip of the support, which is the contact surface with the ball, it is possible to realize "fluttering" with the movement of the ball.
As described above, "fluttering" can be realized by appropriately selecting a raw material having flexibility and a large coefficient of friction and forming a long and non-curved strut.
It should be noted that the photograph shown in FIG. 7 is a photograph of the strut fluttering as the ball moves immediately after the ball placed on the prototype of the

As shown in FIG. 2, the shape of the ball holding portion is basically cylindrical.

Subsequently, as shown in FIG. 12 (2), the pressure P applied to the ball B is released when the
As described above, the
In other words, since there is a hard teeing ground when shooting in golf play, it was not easy for weak seniors and women to put the ball on the pedestal at the top of the tee and wrap it in the palm of their hand. In the
It also has the following advantages.
For tee shots, golf clubs use two types of clubs, one for drivers and one for irons, but the teeing ground to be shot has grass and gravel. The shot and scattered tees get dirty with grass dust and dirt, and golfers who want to store them in their pockets are worried about the dirt and are struggling to deal with it. Especially in the short hole, the shot is shot at a height slightly higher than the teeing ground, so there is a lot of dirt on it, and in the shot of a golfer who hits the ground with an iron club, grass dust and dirt stick to the club and wear. I often soiled my pockets and trousers, which made it difficult to handle. However, when the

The tee of the present application enables a good swing of a golf club, has a long flight distance, and can be used with a recent large golf head. Furthermore, since it can be easily pierced into the ground without damaging the columns, a lot of demand can be expected.
