<樹脂層>
<Resin layer>
Hereinafter, the configuration of the
The resin layer according to one embodiment of the present invention includes a resin having at least one cationic structure selected from the group consisting of the structural formulas (1) to (3), and an anion. The present inventors discuss the reason why having a resin layer containing the resin and anion according to the present invention has an unexpected effect of suppressing an increase in resistance value in a low temperature environment such as 0 ° C. Guess as follows.
In a low temperature environment, the rate of dissociation of ionic compounds into cations and anions (ionization rate) decreases. That is, in a low temperature environment, the influence of the electrostatic attraction of each other becomes dominant rather than the force of the cations and anions of the ionic compound moving away from each other, and the intermolecular distance between the cations and the anions is small. ". Therefore, in a low temperature environment, the concentration of dissociated cations and anions responsible for ionic conductivity decreases, and the conductivity decreases (resistance value increases). Therefore, the conductivity of the ionic compound is maintained by maintaining a sufficiently large intermolecular distance between the cation and the anion even in a low temperature environment (the decrease in the ionization rate suppresses the ionic compound from becoming a "salt"). It is considered that a sufficient amount can be obtained.
The reason why the increase in resistance value in a low temperature environment can be suppressed by using a specific cation is not clear, but it is considered as follows. That is, the siloxane bond contained in the structure represented by the structural formula (X101) or (X102) has a high ionic bond property, and the silicon atom in the siloxane bond is positively polarized and the oxygen atom is negatively polarized. Therefore, an electrostatic repulsive force is generated between the oxygen atom in the siloxane bond and the anion in the ionic compound, and the force acts in the direction in which the intermolecular distance is separated from each other. For example, in the following ionic compound (I) having one structure represented by the structural formula (Y101) or (Y102) corresponding to the structural formula (X101) or (X102), the polarized charge of the oxygen atom in the siloxane bond ( Due to the electrostatic repulsion between the negative charges of δ − ) and the anion A − , the negative charges O δ − of the oxygen atom in the siloxane bond and the anion A − have a structure in which the intermolecular distance is separated. However, since compound (I) has only one structure represented by the structural formula (Y101) or (Y102), the cation and the anion are simply moved away from the siloxane bond by the anion A −. There is no change in the intermolecular distance from A −. Therefore, the resin obtained by reacting the ionic compound (I) having only one structure represented by the structural formula (Y101) or (Y102) can easily "salt" anions and cations in a low temperature environment. , The ionization rate decreases, and as a result, the resistance value increases.
On the other hand, the resin obtained by reacting the ionic compound according to the present invention has a structure represented by at least two or more structural formulas (X101) or (X102) in the vicinity of the cation site. Therefore, an electrostatic repulsive force is generated between the negative charges of the oxygen atoms generated by the polarization of the plurality of siloxane bonds, and the oxygen atoms having the negative charges of the siloxane bonds in the structural formula (X101) or (X102) are cation sites. Arrange so as to surround. For example, the following ionic compound (II) having three structures represented by the structural formula (Y101) or (Y102) corresponding to the structural formula (X101) or (X102) is derived from the structural formula (Y101) or (Y102). The negative charge of the oxygen atom generated by the polarization of the siloxane bond of the above is arranged so as to surround the cation site. Therefore, even in a low temperature environment, the anion A − always receives an electrostatic repulsive force from the oxygen atom in the siloxane bond, and has a structure in which the intermolecular distance between the cation and the anion is large. As a result, the resin obtained by reacting an ionic compound having two or more structures represented by the structural formulas (Y101) or (Y102) always has a high ionization rate even in a low temperature environment and suppresses an increase in resistance value. It is thought that it will be done. Further, in the case of an ionic compound having two or more structures represented by the structural formula (Y101) or (Y102), an oxygen atom having a negative charge of the siloxane bond derived from the structural formula (Y101) is placed in the vicinity of the cation site. It can be arranged so as to surround it. Therefore, an ionic compound having only one structure represented by the structural formula (Y101) or (Y102) does not have the effect of maintaining a high ionization rate, but by using an ionic compound having two or more of the structures, It is considered that the effect of keeping the ionization rate high can be remarkably enjoyed even in a low temperature environment, and the increase in resistance value is suppressed.
When an ionic compound in which R121 or R122 in the structural formula (Y101) or (Y102) had a phenyl group was used, the increase in resistance value was suppressed at a higher level. The reason is not clear, but the positive charge of the cation is neutralized by the resonance effect of the phenyl group, and the electrostatic attraction of the cation and the anion is weakened, so that the ionization rate is kept particularly high even in a low temperature environment. It is presumed that the increase in resistance was suppressed more effectively.
Hereinafter, the cation structure and anion represented by the structural formulas (1) to (3), and the resin according to the present invention will be described in detail.

The hydrosilyl compound when used as a silicone resin is not particularly limited, but is an organopolysiloxane containing a hydrogen atom bonded to a silicon atom in one molecule (hereinafter, also referred to as "organohydrogenpolysiloxane"). When a silicone resin composed of a siloxane bond is selected, the silicone main chain has a spiral structure, and the siloxane bond derived from the silicone resin is contained inside the spiral structure. Therefore, from the oxygen atom of the silicone main chain, The electrostatic repulsion effect of the anion cannot be obtained. Therefore, in order to suppress the decrease in the ionization rate of the ionic conductive agent in the silicone resin in a low temperature environment, the ion conductive agent is independently around the cations of the ionic conductive agent as shown in the structural formula (X101) or (X102). It is necessary to incorporate a plurality of existing siloxane bonds that do not have a spiral structure.

<Evaluation of developing roller>
The following evaluations were performed on the obtained developing rollers according to Examples 1 to 34 and Comparative Examples 1 to 5. The evaluation results are summarized in Table 3.

[Measurement of roller resistance]
After leaving the developing roller in an environment of 23 ° C. and 45% RH (hereinafter referred to as “N / N”) and an environment of 0 ° C. for 12 hours, measurement was performed in each environment.

[Performance evaluation as a developing roller]
(Evaluation of ghost in an environment with a temperature of 0 ° C)
The following evaluation was performed using a developing roller whose resistance value was measured in an environment of 0 ° C.
A developing roller according to this example and a comparative example was loaded as a developing
Rank A: No ghosts are found.
Rank B: Very slight ghost is recognized.
Rank C: Minor ghosts are recognized.
Rank D: Significant ghosts are observed.
Since the developing rollers according to Examples 1 to 34 contain a resin having at least one cation structure in the molecule selected from the group consisting of the above formulas (1) to (3), a low temperature environment such as 0 ° C. The increase in resistance value underneath was small, and the image quality was also good. In particular, in Examples 7 to 34 containing the resin having at least one cationic structure selected from the structural formula (2) or (3), the increase in the resistance value was suppressed at a high level. Furthermore, in the examples in which the ionic compound having a phenyl group was added to the cationic structure, the increase in resistance value was suppressed at a higher level. On the other hand, in the developing rollers according to Comparative Examples 1 to 5 which do not contain such a structure, an increase in resistance value and generation of a ghost image were observed in a low temperature environment.
For example, comparing the developing rollers according to Example 1 and Comparative Example 1 having the same ammonium cation structure, the developing rollers according to Comparative Example 1 not containing the structure represented by the structural formula (1) have a resistance value in a low temperature environment. It increased and ghost images were observed. That is, the effect of suppressing the increase in resistance value in a low temperature environment is clearly higher in Example 1. This is because the resin according to Example 1 has at least two or more structures represented by the structural formulas (X101) or (X102) in the vicinity of the cation site, and therefore enjoys the effect of keeping the ionization rate high in a low temperature environment. Therefore, it is considered that the increase in resistance value was suppressed.

[Performance evaluation as a developing blade]
(Evaluation of the presence or absence of regulatory defects)
The developing blades of each Example and Comparative Example were loaded as developing
Next, 100 black images with a printing rate of 1% were continuously output. After that, a solid white image was output on a new copy paper. After outputting these images, observe the state of the toner coat on the surface of the developing blade, visually observe the presence or absence of electrostatic toner aggregation (improper regulation) due to abnormal charging of the toner, and evaluate according to the following criteria. did. If improper regulation occurs, for example, spot-like unevenness may occur in the non-printed portion, or toner lumps may occur on the image, which may cause an image adverse effect.
Rank A: There is no regulation defect on the toner coat.
Rank B: There is a slight regulation defect on the toner coat, but it does not appear in the image.
Rank C: There is a regulation defect on the toner coat, but it does not appear in the image.
Rank D: Poor regulation appears in the image.
Since the developing blade according to Examples 35 to 39 contains a resin having at least one cation structure in the molecule selected from the group consisting of the above formulas (1) to (3), it is in a low temperature environment such as 0 ° C. There was no poor regulation even below. In particular, in Examples 36 to 39 containing the resin having at least one cationic structure selected from the structural formula (2) or (3), the increase in the resistance value was suppressed at a high level. Furthermore, in Example 38 in which an ionic compound having a phenyl group was added to the cationic structure, the increase in resistance value was suppressed at a higher level. On the other hand, in the developing blades according to Comparative Examples 6 and 7 which do not contain such a structure, poor regulation occurred in a low temperature environment. It is probable that the improper regulation in the 0 ° C. environment was caused as a result of the resistance value of the developing blade becoming high, the blade bias not being applied to the specified value, and the toner charging becoming non-uniform.
For example, comparing the developing blades according to Example 35 and Comparative Example 6 having the same ammonium cation structure, the developing blade according to Comparative Example 6 which does not contain the structure represented by the structural formula (1) has a resistance value in a low temperature environment. It increased and ghost images were observed. That is, the effect of suppressing the increase in resistance value in a low temperature environment is clearly higher in Example 35. This is because the resin according to Example 35 has at least two or more structures represented by the structural formulas (X101) or (X102) in the vicinity of the cation site, and therefore enjoys the effect of keeping the ionization rate high in a low temperature environment. Therefore, it is considered that the increase in resistance value was suppressed.

[Performance evaluation as a toner supply roller]
(Evaluation of ghost in an environment with a temperature of 0 ° C)
The following evaluation was performed using a toner supply roller whose resistance value was measured in an environment of 0 ° C.
The toner supply rollers of the respective examples and comparative examples were loaded into a process cartridge for a laser printer (trade name: LBP7700C, manufactured by Canon Inc.) having the configuration shown in FIG. Then, the process cartridge was incorporated into the laser printer, installed in an environment of 0 ° C., and then left for 24 hours. Next, the ghost image was evaluated. That is, using black toner, a 15 mm square solid black image was printed at the tip of one image pattern, and then a halftone image was printed on the entire surface. Next, the density unevenness (ghost) of the toner carrier cycle appearing in the halftone portion was visually confirmed. The evaluation criteria for ghosts are as follows.
Rank A: No ghosts are found.
Rank B: Very slight ghost is recognized.
Rank C: Minor ghosts are recognized.
Rank D: Significant ghosts are observed.

Even in an environment, the resistance value does not increase much and the image quality is maintained at a good level. In particular, in Examples 41 to 44 containing the resin having at least one cationic structure selected from the structural formula (2) or (3), the increase in the resistance value was suppressed at a high level. Further, in Example 44 in which the ionic compound having a phenyl group was added to the cationic structural formula, the increase in resistance was suppressed at a higher level. On the other hand, in the toner supply rollers according to Comparative Examples 8 and 9 which do not contain such a structure, an increase in resistance value and generation of a ghost image were observed in a low temperature environment.
For example, comparing the toner supply rollers according to Example 40 and Comparative Example 8 having the same ammonium cation structure, the toner supply rollers according to Comparative Example 8 which do not contain the structure represented by the structural formula (1) have resistance in a low temperature environment. The value increased, and the occurrence of ghost images was observed. That is, the effect of suppressing the increase in resistance value in a low temperature environment is clearly higher in Example 40. This is because the resin according to Example 40 has at least two or more structures represented by the structural formulas (X101) or (X102) in the vicinity of the cation site, and therefore enjoys the effect of keeping the ionization rate high in a low temperature environment. Therefore, it is considered that the increase in resistance value was suppressed.
