Claims (8)
- 金属板と、前記金属板上に配置された誘電体層と、前記誘電体層上に配置されて共振回路のパターンを形成する複数の金属構成要素とを備える層状構造物と、
偏波方向に沿って振動するように偏波された横波である共振周波数の波形を前記層状構造物に送信する送信器と、
前記層状構造物から反射された前記波形の振幅を測定する受信器と、
前記層状構造物によって形成される前記共振回路の前記パターンに基づいて前記送信器の位置を前記反射された波形の振幅に関係付けるデータを記憶するメモリと、
前記データに基づいて前記振幅の測定値から前記送信器の位置を求めるプロセッサと、
前記送信器の位置をレンダリングする出力インターフェースと、
を備える、エンコーダ。 - 一群の金属構成要素が、前記位置を符号化する単位セルを形成し、前記層状構造物は複数の単位セルを備え、前記メモリに記憶された前記データは、前記単位セルの位置及び方位のうちの一方又は組み合わせによって規定される符号を含む、請求項1に記載のエンコーダ。
- 前記単位セルの前記位置及び前記方位は、1ビットの前記符号を規定する、請求項2に記載のエンコーダ。
- 前記単位セルの前記位置及び前記方位は、2ビットの前記符号を規定する、請求項2に記載のエンコーダ。
- 前記単位セルは、前記偏波に対する反射方位及び吸収方位を有し、さらに、前記反射方位と前記吸収方位との間の中間の方位を有する、請求項2から4のいずれか1項に記載のエンコーダ。
- 前記単位セルのそれぞれの方位に応じて、異なる符号を割り与える、請求項5に記載のエンコーダ。
- 前記単位セルを形成する前記金属構成要素の幾何学的パラメータ及び配置は、前記共振周波数の関数であり、前記単位セルの金属構成要素が、前記共振周波数によって定まるインダクタンスを有するインダクタを形成するとともに、前記単位セルの少なくとも2つの金属構成要素が、前記共振周波数によって定まるキャパシタンスを有するキャパシタを形成するために、互いに距離をとるようにして位置決めされるようになっている、請求項2に記載のエンコーダ。
- 前記層状構造物は、複数の複合単位セルを備え、各複合単位セルは、第1の共振周波数用に選択された前記金属構成要素の第1の幾何学的パラメータ及び第1の配置を有する第1の単位セルと、第2の共振周波数用に選択された前記金属構成要素の第2の幾何学的パラメータ及び第2の配置を有する第2の単位セルとを備え、
前記送信器によって送信された前記波形は、前記第1の共振周波数を有する第1の波形と、前記第2の共振周波数を有する第2の波形とを含み、
前記受信器は、前記層状構造物から反射された前記第1の波形の振幅を測定して、第1の測定値シーケンスを生成するとともに、前記層状構造物から反射された前記第2の波形の振幅を測定して、第2の測定値シーケンスを生成し、
前記プロセッサは、同じ複合単位セルから来る前記第1の波形及び前記第2の波形の対応する測定値を組み合わせて複数ビットの前記符号を生成し、前記符号の前記複数ビットに基づいて前記送信器の前記位置を求める、請求項7に記載のエンコーダ。
