Description
ジルコニア(ZrO2)、ジルコン(ZrSiO4)、リン酸水素カリウム(K2HPO4)、蔗糖および蒸留水を混合することにより、ジルコニア系ペーストを調製した。ZrO2:ZrSiO4の重量比が異なるペーストサンプルを調製した。具体的には、以下の表1に示した異なる組成のペーストサンプルを調製し、実質的に同じプロセスによって適用した。これらのペーストサンプルの調製および適用について、サンプル1を例として取り挙げることにより、以下に記述する。サンプル1に関して、0.5gの蔗糖および2gのリン酸水素カリウムを2gの蒸留水に溶解して溶剤を形成した。次いで、粒径約0.1ミクロンの8gのジルコニア粉末および粒径約1ミクロンの4gのジルコン粉末を溶剤に添加した。SpeedMixer(FlackTek Inc,SC,USA製)によって回転速度約3000rpmで混合物を混合した。約5分間の混合後、均質なペースト/スラリを得た。他の組成のペーストを同様のプロセスによって得た。
ベータアルミナ(β−Al2O3)、ZrSiO4、K2HPO4、蔗糖および蒸留水を混合することにより、ベータアルミナ系ペーストを調製した。β−Al2O3:ZrSiO4の比が異なるペーストサンプルを調製した。具体的には、以下の表2に示した異なる組成のペーストサンプルを調製し、実施例1において本明細書で上述したジルコニア系ペーストの調製および適用のプロセスと実質的に同じプロセスによって適用した。異なるベータアルミナ系ペーストの組成から作られたプラグの強度および水分散性について、以下の表2に列挙している。
リン酸カリウム(K3PO4)および炭酸カリウム(K2CO3)をそれぞれ無機結合剤として使用してペーストを調製した。K3PO4およびK2CO3をそれぞれ無機結合剤として使用することにより、2つのペーストサンプルを調製し、次いで実施例1のプロセスと実質的に同じプロセスによって適用して穴をプラグした。2つのペーストサンプルの組成と、これら2つのペーストサンプルから作られたプラグの強度および水分散性について、以下の表3に示している。
塩化カリウム(KCl)およびKClと水酸化カリウム(KOH)との混合物をそれぞれ無機結合剤として使用して、ペーストを調製した。KClおよびKClとKOHとの混合物(PH約11)をそれぞれ無機結合剤として使用することにより、2つのペーストサンプルを調製し、次いで、実施例1のプロセスと実質的に同じプロセスによって適用して穴をプラグした。2つのペーストサンプルの組成と、これら2つのペーストサンプルから作られたプラグの強度および水分散性について、以下の表4に示している。
実施例2のS4におけるベータアルミナをアルファアルミナ(α−Al2O3)またはガンマアルミナ(γ−Al2O3)と置き換えたり、実施例1のS5の組成から蔗糖または無機結合剤を除去したりすることにより、4つの比較例をテストした。4つの比較例におけるプラグの強度および分散性について、以下の表5に列挙している。

Claims (16)
- 物品(200)の少なくとも1つの穴(209)をペースト(250)でマスキングする工程であって、前記穴(209)が前記物品(200)の表面(220)に開放している、工程と、
前記物品(200)の表面(220)に少なくとも1つのコーティング(260)を適用する工程と、
前記ペースト(250)を除去する工程であって、前記ペースト(250)を水と接触させ、前記コーティングされた物品(200)の表面(220)に少なくとも1つの開放した穴(209)を残すことを含む工程と
を含む方法であって、
前記ペースト(250)が、
第1の材料及び第2の材料を含む40重量%〜80重量%の高耐熱性充填材であって、第1の材料が、アルカリ金属をドープしたアルミナ、酸化ジルコニウム、酸化チタン、二酸化ケイ素又はそれらの組合せを含み、第2の材料がケイ酸ジルコニウムを含み、第1の材料と第2の材料との重量比が1〜10の範囲である、高耐熱性充填材と、
0.5重量%〜20重量%の無機結合剤と、
0.5重量%〜15重量%の糖と、
5重量%〜25重量%の水と
を含む、方法。 - 前記高耐熱性充填材の平均粒径が0.1ミクロン〜100ミクロンの範囲である、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記無機結合剤が、リン酸塩、リン酸水素、ピロリン酸、炭酸塩、重炭酸塩、塩化物、水酸化物又はそれらの組合せを含む、請求項1又は請求項2に記載の方法。
- 前記ペースト(250)に対する前記高耐熱性充填材の重量百分率が60重量%〜80重量%の範囲である、請求項1乃至請求項3のいずれか1項に記載の方法。
- 前記ペースト(250)に対する前記無機結合剤の重量百分率が10重量%〜20重量%の範囲である、請求項1乃至請求項4のいずれか1項に記載の方法。
- 前記ペースト(250)に対する前記糖の重量百分率が1重量%〜5重量%の範囲である、請求項1乃至請求項5のいずれか1項に記載の方法。
- 前記ペースト(250)に対する水の重量百分率が、10重量%〜15重量%の範囲である、請求項1乃至請求項6のいずれか1項に記載の方法。
- 第1の材料と第2の材料との重量比が1〜8の範囲である、請求項1乃至請求項7のいずれか1項に記載の方法。
- 前記ペースト(250)のPHが7.5超である、請求項1乃至請求項8のいずれか1項に記載の方法。
- 前記少なくとも1つのコーティング(260)を適用する前に、前記ペースト(250)を乾燥させる工程をさらに含む、請求項1乃至請求項9のいずれか1項に記載の方法。
- 前記ペースト(250)から、前記穴(209)と合致するように形作られたプラグプリフォームを形成する工程と、
前記プラグプリフォームを乾燥させる工程と、
前記物品(200)の表面(220)に前記コーティング(260)を適用する際に該物品(200)の表面(220)に開放した穴(209)をマスキングするのに前記プラグプリフォームを使用する工程と
をさらに含む、請求項1乃至請求項10のいずれか1項に記載の方法。 - 前記乾燥したプラグプリフォームを焼結させる工程をさらに含む、請求項11に記載の方法。
- 物品(200)の表面(220)にコーティング(260)を適用する際に該物品(200)の表面(220)に開放した穴(209)をマスキングするためのペースト(250)であって、
第1の材料及び第2の材料を含む40重量%〜80重量%の高耐熱性充填材であって、第1の材料が、アルカリ金属をドープしたアルミナ、酸化ジルコニウム、酸化チタン、二酸化ケイ素又はそれらの組合せを含み、第2の材料がケイ酸ジルコニウムを含み、第1の材料と第2の材料との重量比が1〜10の範囲である、高耐熱性充填材と、
0.5重量%〜20重量%の無機結合剤と、
0.5重量%〜15重量%の糖と、
5重量%〜25重量%の水と
を含むペースト(250)。 - 前記無機結合剤が、リン酸塩、リン酸水素、ピロリン酸、炭酸塩、重炭酸塩、塩化物、水酸化物又はそれらの組合せを含む、請求項13に記載のペースト(250)。
- 第1の材料と第2の材料との重量比が、1〜8の範囲である、請求項13又は請求項14に記載のペースト(250)。
- 前記ペースト(250)のPHが7.5超である、請求項13乃至請求項15のいずれか1項に記載のペースト(250)。
