Description
側方端部及び内方端部を有する第1のアームであって、第1のアームの側方端部は、細長い本体の第1の端部に枢動可能かつ平行移動的に連結されている、第1のアームと、側方端部及び内方端部を有する第2のアームであって、第2のアームの側方端部は、細長い本体の第2の端部に枢動可能かつ平行移動的に連結されている、第2のアームと、を含むことができる拡張可能な脊椎インプラントを対象とし、第1及び第2のアームの内方端部は、互いにヒンジ連結され、第1及び第2のアームの内方端部は、細長い本体に向かって、及び細長い本体から離れて可逆的に枢動するように構成される。
これらの方法は、本明細書に記載されるように、インプラント100を閉じたまたは収縮した形態で提供することを含むことができ、インプラント100は、閉じたまたは収縮した幅を有する。これらの方法はまた、可動ベース部材4を主要ベース部材2から離す(例えば、その間の距離を広げる)ために、アクチュエータ8をインプラント100の後端部5からインプラント100の前端部3に向かって平行移動させることによってインプラント100を拡張された幅に拡張することを含むことができる。
いくつかの実施形態では、ねじ込みは、内側シャフト108の回転を防止または阻止するためにノブ122に係合しつつハンドル116に回転力を加えることによって達成されてもよい。このステップはまた、図4Dに図示するように、キー部材126がツール係合凹部36の外側開口40内に着座し、遠位先端部132が内側開口38内に着座し、狭められた通路42に当接するまで、遠位端部128の少なくとも一部をツール係合凹部36に挿入することを含むことができる。
これらの方法は、例えば、図6Dに図示するように、畳まれた形態の拡張可能な脊椎インプラント400を提供することを含むことができる。
拡張可能な脊椎インプラント400を設置する方法は、本明細書に記載されるような畳まれた形態のインプラントを提供することと、ドライバーを長手方向の空洞416に挿入することとを含むことができる。この方法はまた、細長いロッドアセンブリの第1のねじ山セクションを第1の留め輪448に連結することを含むことができる。ドライバーは、例えば、ドライバーの長手方向の平行移動を阻止するために、第1の細長い本体402に連結することもできる。この方法はまた、細長いロッドアセンブリを回転させ、それによって第1の留め輪448及び第1のくさび部材432を平行移動させることと、インプラント400が畳まれた幅よりも大きな拡張された幅に達するまで第1及び第2の細長い本体402、404を離すように付勢することとを含むことができる。
拡張可能な空洞672は、切り抜き632と第1及び第2のアーム608、610の前方面とによって規定されてもよい。拡張された形態では、例えば、図7Bに図示されるように、空洞672はその中に骨成長材料を受容するように構成されてもよい。
これらの実施形態では、骨移植材料は、例えば、通路628を通して直接に及び/または細長い本体602上の移植窓を通して挿入されてもよい。
これらの方法は、例えば、図8Aに図示するように、畳まれた形態の拡張可能な脊椎インプラント800を提供することを含むことができる。畳まれた形態では、第1及び第2のアーム804、806の側方端部832、838は、細長い本体602に向かって枢動されてもよい。したがって、第1及び第2のアーム804、806は、細長い本体602に概ね平行であってもよい。
Claims (20)
- 拡張可能な脊椎インプラントであって、
細長い溝を備える固定ベース部材であって、前記細長い溝は、前記固定ベース部材の長手方向軸に平行な長手方向軸を有する、固定ベース部材と、
角度付溝を備える可動ベース部材であって、前記角度付溝は、前記可動ベース部材の長手方向軸と交差する長手方向軸を有する、可動ベース部材と、
前記固定ベース部材内に可逆的に受容されるように構成された第1の端部、及び前記可動ベース部材内に受容されるように構成された第2の端部を備える少なくとも1つのガイド部材と、
前記細長い溝に摺動可能に係合するように構成された第1のアーム、及び前記角度付溝に摺動可能に係合するように構成された第2のアームを備えるアクチュエータと、を備え、
前記角度付溝は、主通路と補足通路とを含み、前記補足通路は、反対方向に前記主通路から延びる第1通廊および第2通廊を含む、拡張可能な脊椎インプラント。 - 前記拡張可能な脊椎インプラントは、複数のガイド部材を備える、請求項1に記載の拡張可能な脊椎インプラント。
- 前記アクチュエータの前記第1のアームの端部は第1の突出部を備え、前記第1の突出部は上部突起及び下部突起を備え、前記上部及び下部突起の各々は前記第1のアームから離れる90度の角度で反対方向に延びており、
前記アクチュエータの前記第2のアームの端部は第2の突出部を備え、前記第2の突出部は上部突起及び下部突起を備え、前記上部及び下部突起の各々は前記第2のアームから離れる90度の角度で反対方向に延びている、請求項1に記載の拡張可能な脊椎インプラント。 - 前記アクチュエータは中央部材を備え、前記中央部材はそこを貫通して延びるねじ穴を備える、請求項1に記載の拡張可能な脊椎インプラント。
- 拡張可能な脊椎インプラントであって、
細長い溝を備える主要ベース部材であって、前記細長い溝は、前記主要ベース部材の内側側面の少なくとも一部に平行な軸を備える、主要ベース部材と、
角度付溝を備える可動ベース部材であって、前記角度付溝は、前記可動ベース部材の内側側面と交差する軸を備える、可動ベース部材と、
前記主要ベース部材と連結されるように構成された第1の端部、及び前記可動ベース部材と連結されるように構成された第2の端部を備える少なくとも1つのガイド部材と、
前記細長い溝に摺動可能に係合するように構成された第1のアーム、及び前記角度付溝に摺動可能に係合するように構成された第2のアームを備えるアクチュエータと、を備え、
前記角度付溝は、主通路と補足通路とを含み、前記補足通路は、反対方向に前記主通路から延びる第1通廊および第2通廊を含む、拡張可能な脊椎インプラント。 - 前記可動ベース部材の前記角度付溝は、前記可動ベース部材の前記内側側面に沿って延びる開口を備える、請求項5に記載の拡張可能な脊椎インプラント。
- 前記角度付溝は、T字形の横断面を備える、請求項5に記載の拡張可能な脊椎インプラント。
