Claims (5)
- 内燃機関の排気系の末端に設置され、排気ガス流を加速して大気放出する装置であって、
一端を、排気系の末端から排出される排気ガス流を受け入れる排気ガス流入側とし、他端は、排気ガスを大気放出する排気ガス流出側とした、全体として筒状構造の装置本体と、
前記排気ガス流入側から流入する前記排気ガス流のうちの主として中央部の流れを加速するために前記筒状構造の装置本体の内側に設けられ、横断面積が前記排気ガス流出側に向けて段階的に小さくなるように変化する形状の筒状の加速部と、前記加速部の前記排気ガス流の吸引口の外周及び前記加速部の前記排気ガス流の出口の外周を全周にわたり開放し、前記中央部以外の前記排気ガス流を、前記加速部と前記筒状構造の装置本体との間に形成される空間に通し前記排気ガス流出側で前記中央部の流れに合流させる開口部とを有する排気ガス流加速筒と、
上記排気ガス流加速筒にて加速された排気ガス流を大気放出するために、排気ガス流出側に設けられたテールパイプと、
上記テールパイプを装置本体に対して前後方向へ移動可能とし、それによって上記排気ガス流加速筒とテールパイプとの間隔を調節可能にする調節機構を有して構成された
ことを特徴とする排気ガス流の加速装置。 - 排気ガス流加速筒とテールパイプとの間隔を調節可能にする調節機構として、テールパイプは装置本体にスライド可能に取付けられるとともに、手動により移動可能に設けられており、かつ、固定手段により任意の移動位置に固定可能に設けられている
請求項1記載の排気ガス流の加速装置。 - 排気ガス流加速筒とテールパイプとの間隔を調節可能にする調節機構として、テールパイプは装置本体にスライド可能に取付けられ、かつ、排気ガス流加速筒にて発生した負圧の強さに応じて自動的に移動可能に構成された負圧感応部を有している
請求項1記載の排気ガス流の加速装置。 - テールパイプは排気ガス流加速筒の下流に発生する負圧に吸引され、また、排気ガス流加速筒の外部を流れる排気ガス流が衝突する負圧感応部を前端部分に有している
請求項3記載の排気ガス流の加速装置。 - 排気ガス流加速筒とテールパイプとの間隔を調節可能にする調節機構として、排気ガス流の状態を検出するセンサー、センサー信号に応じた移動量を出力する制御部、上記出力に応じて作動するモーター及びモーターによりテールパイプを移動させる移動機構を備えた
請求項1又は3記載の排気ガス流の加速装置。
