Claims (27)
- 試料中の所定の物質の存在を測定するための装置であって、
加えられた第1の軌道角運動量シグネチャを有する第1の信号を生成して、該第1の信号を前記試料に印加するための信号生成回路と、
前記第1の信号が前記試料を通過した後に前記第1の信号を受信して、前記試料から受信された前記第1の信号において検出される第2の軌道角運動量シグネチャに基づいて、前記試料中の前記所定の物質の存在を決定する検出器と
を備え、
前記検出器は、前記決定に応答した所定の物質の存在を示す出力を提供し、
前記検出器は、前記第1の信号が前記試料を通過した後の前記第1の信号の位相を決定するための回路をさらに含み、
前記回路は、前記第2の軌道角運動量シグネチャを有する前記第1の信号を、前記平面波を有する前記第1の信号と干渉させることによって前記位相を決定する、試料中の所定の物質の存在を測定するための装置。 - 前記第2の軌道角運動量シグネチャは、モード強度の離心率、モード強度の重心のシフト、及びモード強度の楕円体強度出力の回転、のうちの少なくとも1つの変化をさらに含む、請求項1に記載の装置。
- 前記第2の軌道角運動量シグネチャは、振幅測定値及び位相測定値の変化をさらに含む、請求項1に記載の装置。
- 前記検出器は、重力による試料の分布、前記試料に対するモード強度を記録するカメラの角度、前記試料を保持する容器、前記試料に対する前記第1のビームの入射角、及び前記試料からの前記第1のビームの出射角、のうちの少なくとも1つの効果を打ち消して、前記モード強度の離心率の変化を検出する、請求項1に記載の装置。

複数の平面波を含む前記第1の信号を放出するための放出源と、
前記第1の信号を受信して、該第1の信号に前記第1の軌道角運動量シグネチャを加えて、軌道角運動量ねじれ信号を提供するための軌道角運動量生成回路と
をさらに含む、請求項1に記載の装置。 - 前記信号生成回路は、振幅マスク、位相マスク、空間光変調器、及びディジタル光プロセッサ、のうちの少なくとも1つで実装されたホログラムをさらに備える、請求項1に記載の装置。
- 前記検出器は、

前記検出された第2の軌道角運動量シグネチャに応答して、前記試料中の前記所定の物質の存在を決定するためのプロセッサと
をさらに備える、請求項1に記載の装置。 - 異なるシグネチャは、前記試料中の前記所定の物質の異なる濃度を示す、請求項1に記載の装置。
- 前記第2の軌道角運動量シグネチャは、前記試料中の前記所定の物質の前記検出された存在のみから生じ、前記第2の軌道角運動量シグネチャは、周囲光中の自然散乱光子によって干渉されない、請求項1に記載の装置。
- 試料中の所定の物質の存在を検出するための装置であって、
複数の平面波を含む光ビームを放出するための放出源と、
前記光ビームを受け取って、該光ビームに第1の軌道角運動量シグネチャを加えて、加えられた前記第1の軌道角運動量シグネチャを含む第1の信号を、前記試料に提供するための軌道角運動量生成回路と、
前記第1の信号が前記試料を通過した後に前記第1の信号を受信して、前記試料から受信された前記第1の信号中において検出される第2の軌道角運動量シグネチャに基づいて、前記試料中の前記所定の物質の存在を決定するための検出器と

前記第2の軌道角運動量シグネチャは、モード強度の離心率の変化、モード強度の重心のシフト、及びモード強度の楕円体強度出力の回転をさらに含み、
前記検出器は、前記第1の信号が前記試料を通過した後の前記第1の信号の位相を決定するための回路をさらに含み、

前記試料からの受信された前記第1の信号中における第2の軌道角運動量シグネチャを検出するステップと、
前記試料から受信された前記第1の信号中において検出された前記第2の軌道角運動量シグネチャに基づいて、前記試料中の前記特定の種類の物質の存在を決定するステップと
を含む、試料中の特定の種類の物質の存在を検出するための方法。 - 検出するステップは、モード強度の離心率、モード強度の重心のシフト、及びモード強度の楕円体強度出力の回転、のうちの少なくとも1つの変化を検出するステップをさらに含む、請求項17に記載の方法。
