Description
The technique disclosed in the present specification relates to a vehicle cooling system for cooling a device mounted on a vehicle.
A cooling system for cooling an inverter mounted on a hybrid vehicle or an electric vehicle is known. For example, Patent Document 1 discloses a technique in which a controller sets a command rotation speed of a water pump that circulates a refrigerant based on a value of a water temperature sensor that detects the temperature of the refrigerant. The controller diagnoses that an abnormality has occurred in the water pump when the allowable width does not include the difference between the commanded rotation speed of the water pump and the actual rotation speed.
In the cooling system described above, it is assumed that the pump controller that controls the drive of the water pump cannot acquire the command rotation speed from the higher-order controller due to, for example, disconnection of the signal line. In such a case, it is conceivable that the pump controller autonomously performs control for driving the water pump at the maximum rotation speed in order to perform sufficient cooling of the inverter.
When the water pump is driven at the maximum rotation speed without depending on the command rotation speed, the method disclosed in Patent Document 1 (method for detecting an abnormality by the difference between the command rotation speed and the actual rotation speed) Abnormality of water pump may not be detected correctly. In that case, the upper limit rotation speed obtained by adding the allowable width to the command rotation speed is equal to or higher than the maximum rotation speed. The present specification, in the pump controller, a technique that enables the host controller to detect an abnormality of the water pump when the command rotation speed from the host controller cannot be obtained, that is, the abnormality detection accuracy of the water pump is improved. To provide the technology to
The vehicle cooling system disclosed in this specification includes a water pump, a pump controller, a water temperature sensor, a rotation speed sensor, and a host controller. The water pump circulates the refrigerant in the pipeline. The pump controller controls the drive of the water pump. The water temperature sensor acquires the temperature of the refrigerant. The rotation speed sensor acquires the rotation speed of the water pump. The host controller supplies the pump controller with the command rotation speed for controlling the drive of the water pump. The pump controller drives the water pump according to the command rotational speed when the command rotational speed is supplied, and drives the water pump at the maximum rotational speed when the command rotational speed is interrupted. The host controller sets the command rotation speed based on the temperature of the refrigerant acquired by the water temperature sensor, and also sets the upper limit rotation speed for determining that the water pump is normal based on the command rotation speed. . The upper controller further determines that the water pump is normal when the rotation speed acquired by the rotation speed sensor is equal to or lower than the upper limit rotation speed, and the rotation speed acquired by the rotation speed sensor is higher than the upper limit rotation speed. If it is larger, it is determined that the water pump is abnormal. The host controller sets the command rotation speed so that the upper limit rotation speed becomes smaller than the maximum rotation speed for a predetermined time after the vehicle is started.
In this configuration, the host controller sets the command rotation speed so that the upper limit rotation speed becomes smaller than the maximum rotation speed for a predetermined time after the vehicle is started. In addition, when the supply of the command rotation speed from the host controller is interrupted, the pump controller drives the water pump at the maximum rotation speed regardless of the command rotation speed. Therefore, when the commanded rotation speed is stopped from the host controller to the pump controller, during the predetermined time after the vehicle is started, the "rotation speed of the water pump acquired by the rotation speed sensor (that is, the maximum rotation speed (Number)> upper limit rotation speed ”is established, and as a result, the host controller can detect that the water pump is abnormal. That is, according to this configuration, it is possible to detect the abnormality of the water pump even when the pump controller cannot acquire the command rotation speed from the upper controller. In other words, this configuration provides a technique for improving the accuracy of abnormality detection of the water pump.
Details of the technology disclosed in the present specification and further improvements will be described in the following “Description of Embodiments”.
FIG. 1 is a block diagram of a
The
The motor 8 is connected to the
The
The
The
FIG. 2 is a block diagram of the vehicle cooling system 100. The configuration and operation of the vehicle cooling system 100 will be described with reference to FIG.
The vehicle cooling system 100 includes a
The inverter cooler 17 is provided in the inverter 4. The plurality of switching elements in the inverter 4 are cooled by the inverter cooler 17. The oil cooler 18 is a cooling device that cools the drive train 19. The oil cooler 18 cools the drive train 19 including the motor 8 and the power distribution mechanism 7 by the oil circulating in the oil cooling pipe 91 by the pressure feed of the oil pump 93. That is, the motor 8 and the power distribution mechanism 7 are cooled by the oil circulating in the oil cooling pipe 91.
制御基板は、ポンプ制御器50からの指令値に従って、モータへの入力電力をPWM(Pulse Width Modulation)制御する。
The
The
The vehicle cooling system 100 further includes a temperature sensor 41 and a rotation speed sensor 42. The temperature sensor 41 acquires the temperature of the inverter cooler 17. The
FIG. 3 is a diagram illustrating a relationship between various rotation speeds of the
The
In FIG. 3, the command rotational speed N1 is high in the range where the temperature of the coolant 80 is low when the outside air temperature is lower than the temperature range suitable for the operation of the inverter 4 and the motor 8 in a very cold region. This is to warm the inverter 4 and the motor 8. The vehicle cooling system not only prevents overheating of the inverter and the like, but also functions as a temperature control device that keeps the temperature within an appropriate temperature range so that the temperature does not become excessively low.
The upper limit rotation speed N2 will be described. The upper limit rotation speed N2 is a threshold value for the
As described above, the
Here, it is assumed that the
Thus, when the
On the other hand, when the command rotation speed N1 in the region L1 or the region L3 in FIG. 3 is set, the upper limit rotation speed N2 exceeds the maximum rotation speed Nmax. While the command rotation speed N1 in the region L1 or the region L3 is being supplied to the
As described above, there may be a case where the
FIG. 4 is a flowchart showing a procedure of control processing of the water pump. The process shown in FIG. 4 is started when the ignition switch of the
In step S100 of the control process (FIG. 4) of the water pump,
In step S102,
In step S104, the
When the actual rotation speed is equal to or lower than the upper limit rotation speed N2 (step S106: NO), the
On the other hand, when the actual rotation speed is higher than the upper limit rotation speed N2 (step S106: YES), the
In step S124,
In the above description, the
The effect of this embodiment will be described. As described above, HVECU 60 (upper controller) sets command rotation speed N1 such that upper limit rotation speed N2 becomes smaller than maximum rotation speed Nmax for a predetermined time after the start of
According to the configuration of the present embodiment, even if the
