Claims (18)
- 通信デバイスであって、
ある容積の周りに延び、断面外形が何らかの矩形以外の多角形に共形となるハウジングと、
前記通信デバイスの第1の側面を介した通信に加わるように構成された1又は2以上のホログラフィックアンテナ素子を含み、前記容積内に配置されたアンテナパネルと、
前記ハウジングのそれぞれの側面上に各々が配置され、前記通信デバイスを電源に結合するハードウェアインタフェースと、
前記ハードウェアインタフェースのそれぞれのペアの間に各々が結合された1又は2以上のパススルー相互接続部と、
前記電源によって供給される電圧に基づいて前記アンテナパネルを動作させるように結合された回路を含む制御ロジックと、
を備える、通信デバイス。 - 前記多角形は六角形である、請求項1に記載の通信デバイス。
- 前記多角形は三角形である、請求項1に記載の通信デバイス。
- 前記ハードウェアインタフェースは、前記電源に結合するためのユニバーサルシリアルバスコネクタを含む、請求項1に記載の通信デバイス。
- 前記通信に加わる前記1又は2以上のホログラフィックアンテナ素子は、全二重信号交換を行う1又は2以上のホログラフィックアンテナ素子を含む、請求項1に記載の通信デバイス。
- 前記ハードウェアインタフェースは各々、前記第1の側面以外の前記ハウジングのそれぞれの側面内又は該側面上に配置される、請求項1に記載の通信デバイス。
- 第1の方向線に沿った前記ハウジングの厚さは、5インチに等しいか又はそれよりも小さく、前記第1の方向線は、前記第1の側面の一部に直交している、請求項1に記載の通信デバイス。
- 前記通信に加わる前記1又は2以上のホログラフィックアンテナ素子は、7.5ギガヘルツよりも高い周波数を含む信号を送信又は受信する1又は2以上のホログラフィックアンテナ素子を含む、請求項1に記載の通信デバイス。
- 衛星以外のデバイスと無線通信するための無線モデムを更に備える、請求項1に記載の通信デバイス。
- 第1の通信デバイスを有する相互接続された複数の通信デバイスを含むアンテナ組立体を備えるシステムであって、
前記相互接続された複数の通信デバイスの各々に対して、該通信デバイスが、
ある容積の周りに延び、断面外形が何らかの矩形以外の多角形に共形となるハウジングと、
1又は2以上のホログラフィックアンテナ素子を含み、前記容積内に配置されたアンテナパネルと、
前記ハウジングのそれぞれの側面上に各々が配置されたハードウェアインタフェースと、
前記アンテナパネルを動作させるように結合された回路を含む制御ロジックと、
を備え、
前記第1の通信デバイスのハードウェアインタフェースは、前記アンテナ組立体を電源に結合するように構成されており、
1又は2以上のパススルー相互接続部は各々が、前記第1の通信デバイスの前記ハードウェアインタフェースのそれぞれのペアの間に結合されており、
前記複数の通信デバイスのそれぞれのアンテナパネルは各々、前記電源によって供給される電圧に基づく通信に加わる、ことを特徴とするシステム - 前記複数の通信デバイスのそれぞれの前記ハウジングは各々、六角形に共形となる、請求項10に記載のシステム。
- 前記複数の通信デバイスのそれぞれの前記ハウジングは各々、三角形に共形となる、請求項10に記載のシステム。
- 前記第1の通信デバイスのハードウェアインタフェースは、前記電源に結合するためのユニバーサルシリアルバスコネクタを含む、請求項10に記載のシステム。
- 前記通信に加わる前記複数の通信デバイスのそれぞれの前記アンテナパネルは、全二重信号交換を行う前記複数の通信デバイスのそれぞれのアンテナパネルを含む、請求項10に記載のシステム。
- 前記第1の通信デバイスのアンテナパネルは、前記第1の通信デバイスの第1の側面を介した通信に関与し、前記第1の通信デバイスのハードウェアインタフェースは各々、前記第1の側面以外の前記第1の通信デバイスのそれぞれの異なる側面内又は該側面上に配置される、請求項10に記載のシステム。
- 前記相互接続された複数の通信デバイスの各々に対して、前記通信デバイスのハウジン
グの厚さは、5インチに等しいか又はそれよりも小さい、請求項10に記載のシステム。 - 前記通信に加わる前記複数の通信デバイスのそれぞれの前記アンテナパネルは、7.5ギガヘルツよりも高い周波数を含む信号を送信又は受信する前記複数の通信デバイスのそれぞれのアンテナパネルを含む、請求項10に記載のシステム。
- 前記第1の通信デバイスは更に、衛星以外のデバイスと無線で通信するための無線モデムを備える、請求項10に記載のシステム。
